Safety Information
General Safety
Before installation and use, carefully read the supplied instructions. The manufacturer is not responsible for injuries or damage from incorrect installation or usage. Keep instructions accessible.
Children and Vulnerable People Safety
- Appliance usable by children aged 8+ and persons with reduced capabilities if supervised and instructed on safe use.
- Children aged 3-8 and those with extensive disabilities must be kept away unless supervised.
- Children under 3 must be kept away unless supervised.
- Do not let children play with the appliance.
- Keep detergents away from children.
- Keep children and pets away when the door is open.
- Children shall not perform cleaning/maintenance without supervision.
General Safety
- Intended for household and similar applications (farm houses, staff kitchens, hotels, etc.).
- Do not change appliance specifications.
- Operating water pressure: 0.5 (50) / 8 (800) bar (kPa).
- Maximum 13 place settings.
- Damaged supply cord must be replaced by manufacturer/authorised service centre.
- Place knives/cutlery with sharp points point-down or horizontally in the cutlery basket.
- Do not leave the appliance with the door open to avoid tripping.
- Before maintenance, deactivate and disconnect the mains plug.
- Do not use high-pressure water sprays or steam for cleaning.
- Connect using new supplied hose-sets; old hose sets must not be reused.
- Ventilation openings must not be obstructed by carpets.
- Dishwasher detergents are alkaline and dangerous if swallowed; avoid contact with skin/eyes and keep children away.
- Check detergent receptacle is empty after wash cycle.
Safety Instructions
Installation
⚠️ Warning! Only a qualified person must install this appliance.
- Remove all packaging.
- Do not install or use a damaged appliance.
- Install before use in built-in structure for safety.
- Follow supplied installation instructions.
- Handle appliance with care; it is heavy. Use safety gloves and enclosed footwear.
- Do not install/use where temperature is below 0°C.
- Install in a safe, suitable place meeting requirements.
Electrical Connection
⚠️ Warning! Risk of fire and electric shock.
- Appliance must be earthed.
- Ensure rating plate parameters match mains supply.
- Always use a correctly installed shockproof socket.
- Do not use multi-plug adapters or extension cables.
- Do not damage the mains plug or cable. Cable replacement by Authorised Service Centre only.
- Connect mains plug only at the end of installation. Ensure access to plug.
- Do not pull mains cable to disconnect; pull the plug.
Water Connection
- Do not damage water hoses.
- Before connecting to new/unused pipes or after repairs, let water flow until clear.
- Ensure no visible water leaks during/after first use.
- Water inlet hose has a safety valve and inner mains cable.
⚠️ Warning! Dangerous voltage.
If water inlet hose is damaged, close water tap, disconnect mains plug, and contact Authorised Service Centre.
Use
- Do not place flammable items near or on the appliance.
- Follow detergent safety instructions.
- Do not drink or play with water in the appliance.
- Do not remove dishes until programme is complete; detergent may remain.
- Do not store items or apply pressure on the open door.
- Appliance can release hot steam when door is opened during operation.
Internal Lighting
⚠️ Warning! Risk of injury.
Internal lamps are designed for appliance conditions (temp, vibration, humidity) and not for room illumination. Contact Authorised Service Centre for replacement.

Indicators
- Rinse aid indicator: On when rinse aid needs refilling.
- Machine Care indicator: On when appliance needs internal cleaning.
- Drying phase indicator: On when a drying phase is selected; flashes during operation.
Programme Selection
Programmes
- A. Quick 30': Shortest programme for fresh, lightly soiled items.
- Rinse & Hold: Rinses off food remains to prevent odours. Do not use detergent.
- B. 90 Minutes: For washing and drying normally soiled items.
- C. ECO 50°: Longest programme, most energy/water efficient for normal soil. Standard for test institutes.
Options
- Power Clean: Improves washing results by increasing temperature and duration.
- AUTO: Automatically adjusts cycle based on load type, soil degree, and dish quantity.

Note: Values can vary based on water pressure/temperature, mains supply, options, dish quantity, and soil degree. ECO 50° values are standard; others are indicative.
Basic Settings
Configure appliance settings:

To change settings, enter setting mode (press and hold ECO and 30' for 3 seconds). Indicators for selected settings will flash. Use programme buttons (A, B, C) to navigate and OK to confirm.
Rinse Aid Empty Notification: Helps dry dishes without streaks. Automatically released. Indicator turns on when empty. Can be deactivated if drying is satisfactory with multi-tablets, but always use rinse aid for best performance.
Before First Use
- Fill the rinse aid dispenser.
- Open the water tap.
- Start the Quick 30' programme without detergent or dishes to remove manufacturing residuals.
Filling the Rinse Aid Dispenser
Diagram shows dispenser location. To adjust rinse aid quantity, turn the selector between position 1 (lowest) and 4 (highest).
Daily Use
- Open water tap.
- Press and hold [On/Off button] until activated.
- Fill rinse aid dispenser if empty.
- Load baskets.
- Add detergent.
- Select and start programme.
- Close water tap when programme is complete.
Using the Detergent
Place detergent or multi-tablet in compartment (A). If prewash is used, add a small quantity to the inner door. Multi-tablets with rinse aid don't require filling the rinse aid dispenser; set to lowest position.
How to Select and Start a Programme
- Press the desired programme button; its light flashes.
- Activate Power Clean if desired.
- Close appliance door to start.
How to Select and Start the [Quick 30'] Programme
- Press and hold [30'] for 3 seconds. Light flashes. (Power Clean not applicable).
- Close appliance door to start.
How to Activate Power Clean
- Select a programme.
- Press [Power Clean button]. Light turns on.
Power Clean is not a permanent option and must be activated each time.
It cannot be activated/deactivated during a running programme. It increases water/energy consumption and programme duration.
How to Select and Start the Programme AUTO
- Press [AUTO button]. Light turns on. (Power Clean not applicable).
- Close appliance door to start.
Appliance senses load type and adjusts wash cycle.
How to Delay the Start of a Programme
Delay start by 3 hours:
- Select programme.
- Press [Delay start button]. Light turns on.
- Close door to start countdown. Programme starts when countdown ends.
Cannot change programme during countdown. To cancel delay start, press and hold [Delay start button] for 3 seconds; select programme again.
How to Cancel a Running Programme
Press and hold [On/Off button] for 3 seconds. Appliance returns to programme selection. Ensure detergent is present before starting a new programme.
Opening the Door While the Appliance Operates
Opening the door stops the appliance, affecting energy consumption and duration. Appliance continues from interruption point after closing. If opened for >30 seconds during drying, programme ends (unless by AutoOpen).
The Auto Off Function
Saves energy by switching off when not operating. Activates automatically after 15 seconds post-programme or 5 minutes if not started.
End of the Programme
Auto Off function switches appliance off. All buttons inactive except On/Off.
Hints and Tips
General
- Remove large food residues before loading.
- Do not pre-rinse by hand; use prewash phase if needed.
- Always use the whole space of the baskets.
- Ensure items do not touch or cover each other for water access.
- Use detergent and rinse aid separately or use multi-tablets.
- Select programme by load type and soil degree; ECO 50° is most efficient for normal soil.
- Use appliance only for dishwasher-safe items.
- Do not wash wood, horn, aluminium, pewter, copper (can crack, warp, discolour).
- Do not wash water-absorbent items (sponges, cloths).
- Remove remaining food. Soak burnt-on food before washing.
- Place hollow items (cups, glasses, pans) opening downwards.
- Ensure cutlery/dishes do not bond; mix spoons with other cutlery.
- Ensure glasses do not touch each other.
- Place cutlery/small items in cutlery basket.
- Place light items in upper basket, ensuring they don't move freely.
- Ensure spray arm can move freely before starting.
Using Rinse Aid and Detergent
- Use only dishwasher-specific rinse aid and detergent.
- Detergent tablets may not dissolve fully with short programmes; use with long programmes.
- Use only the correct quantity of detergent.
Loading the Baskets
Refer to the supplied leaflet for examples. Always use the whole space of the baskets.
Before Starting a Programme
Ensure:
- Filters are clean and correctly installed.
- Spray arms are not clogged.
- Rinse aid is present (unless using multi-tablets).
- Items are correctly positioned in baskets (see leaflet).
- Programme matches load type and soil degree.
- Correct detergent quantity is used.
Unloading the Baskets
- Let tableware cool before removing to prevent damage.
- Remove items from lower basket first, then upper basket.
Care and Cleaning
After programme completion, water may remain on inside surfaces.
⚠️ Warning! Before any maintenance (except Machine Care), deactivate and disconnect the mains plug.
Dirty filters and clogged spray arms affect washing results. Check and clean regularly.
Machine Care
Programme cleans appliance interior, removing limescale and grease. Indicator turns on when cleaning is needed. Start Machine Care programme.
How to Start the Machine Care Programme
Before starting, clean filters and spray arms.
- Use a descaler or dishwasher-specific cleaner. Follow packaging instructions. Do not put dishes in baskets.
- Press and hold [30'] and [AUTO] for 3 seconds. Indicators [30'] and [AUTO] flash.
- Close door to start.
Machine Care indicator turns off upon completion.
Internal Cleaning
- Clean appliance interior and door gasket with a soft damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive products, pads, sharp tools, strong chemicals, scourers, or solvents.
- Use a dishwasher-specific cleaner every two months for performance. Follow instructions.
- For optimal results, start Machine Care programme.
External Cleaning
- Clean with a moist soft cloth.
- Use only neutral detergents.
- Do not use abrasive products, pads, or solvents.
Cleaning the Filters
Diagram shows filter system (3 parts: A, B, C). Ensure no food residues around sump.
- To remove filters (B) and (C), turn handle counterclockwise and pull upwards. Remove filter (C) from (B). Wash filters with water.
- Remove flat filter (A). Wash with water.
- Put flat filter (A) back, ensuring correct position under guides (D).
- Reassemble filters (B) and (C) into (A). Turn handle clockwise until locked.
Incorrect filter position can cause bad washing results and damage.
Cleaning the Filter of the Inlet Hose
- Close water tap. Disconnect hose. Turn fastener A clockwise.
- Clean the filter of the inlet hose.
Cleaning the Lower Spray Arm
Regular cleaning prevents clogging and ensures good washing results.
- To remove spray arm, pull upwards.
- Wash under running water. Use a thin pointed tool (e.g., toothpick) to remove particles from holes.
- To install, press downwards.

Valid for 2 years from original purchase date from IKEA Pty Ltd or Cebas Pty Ltd (trading as IKEA). Original sales receipt required. Service work does not extend guarantee period.

What does this guarantee cover?
Covers faults from faulty construction or material from purchase date. Applies to domestic use only. Does not cover damage from commercial use.
Costs for remedy (repairs, parts, labour, travel) are covered if appliance is accessible without special expenditure. Replaced parts become IKEA property.

What will IKEA do to correct the problem?
IKEA-appointed service provider will examine the product. If covered, they will repair or replace the defective product with the same or comparable product.
What is not covered under this guarantee?
- Normal wear and tear.
- Deliberate/negligent damage, damage from failure to observe instructions, incorrect installation, wrong voltage, chemical/electrochemical reaction, rust, corrosion, water damage (including excessive lime), abnormal environmental conditions.
- Consumable parts (batteries, lamps).
- Non-functional/decorative parts (scratches, colour differences) not affecting normal use.

How country law applies
Goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Entitled to replacement/refund for major failure, compensation for other loss/damage.
