Getting Started: Attaching the Stand
You will need: a soft surface and a Phillips screwdriver.
Carefully place the TV screen-down on a clean, cushioned surface. Attach each stand leg to the back of the TV using two of the supplied screws.
- 43-inch: M5 x 27 mm screws
- 50-inch: M5 x 35 mm screws
- 55-inch: M5 x 10 mm screws
Wall Mounting
You will need: a soft surface and a Phillips screwdriver.
Before mounting your TV:
- Remove the stand legs.
- Ensure your wall mount supports the TV's weight.
A Carefully place the TV screen-down on a clean, cushioned surface.
B Refer to the instructions included with your wall mount for proper mounting procedures.
VESA Mounting Pattern:
- 43-inch: 200 x 300 mm (M6 x 25 mm screws)
- 50-inch: 400 x 200 mm (M6 x 25 mm screws)
- 55-inch: 200 x 300 mm (M6 x 20 mm screws)
Your TV has four VESA mounting holes on the back. If attaching a wall mount, ensure it is securely fastened using all four holes. Failure to do so may result in the TV falling, causing property damage or personal injury. Refer to your wall mount's documentation for complete instructions.
Making Connections
Connect your cable box, satellite receiver, antenna, DVD/Blu-ray player, or game console. Connect to the internet via Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
- HDMI (OPTIMAL): For optimal video quality. Connect a home theater receiver compatible with ARC to HDMI 1 (ARC).
- AV (GOOD): For standard audio/video connections.
- COAXIAL (GOOD): Connect an HD antenna for live over-the-air TV.
- ETHERNET (OPTIONAL): For wired internet connection.
Powering On Your TV
- Ensure the TV is in its final location.
- Plug the power cable into the TV and a power outlet.
- Remove the remote control cover and install the batteries.
- Press the power button [power-symbol] on your Voice Remote with Alexa.
- Follow the on-screen setup instructions.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture.
CAUTION: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK. DO NOT OPEN. No user-serviceable parts inside. Servicing should only be performed by qualified service personnel.
Completing On-Screen Setup
- Remote Pairing: Your TV should automatically pair with the remote. If not, follow on-screen prompts to press the 'Home' button. If issues persist, try reinserting or replacing the batteries.
- Wi-Fi Network: Select your Wi-Fi network from the list. Have your Wi-Fi password ready if your network is secured. If your network is hidden, select 'Join Other Network' and enter the password.
- Experience Selection: Choose between 'Full Screen' (recommended) for the complete Fire TV experience with live TV, apps, and Alexa, or 'Basic Screen' for limited live TV and six streaming apps. A free Amazon account is required for the Full Screen experience.
Optional: Live Over-the-Air TV
If connected to an antenna or cable network:
- After setup, perform a channel scan via Settings > Live TV > Channel Scan.
- Follow on-screen instructions to complete the scan.
- Use 'On Now' or the guide button [guide-button] on your remote to browse and watch live TV.
Using Your Voice Remote with Alexa
- Power [power-symbol]: Turns the TV on or off. The LED indicator on the front will be blue when the TV is off.
- Voice [microphone-symbol]: Press and hold to activate Alexa. Use your voice to search for content, control playback, and more (requires an Amazon account).
- Home [home-symbol]: Returns to the Home screen. A long press accesses Quick Settings.
- Back [back-arrow-symbol]: Returns to the previous screen.
- Menu [menu-symbol]: Activates on-screen contextual menus.
- Navigation [directional-arrows-symbol]: Use to navigate on-screen (up, down, left, right).
- Rewind [rewind-symbol]: Rewinds or skips back. Behavior varies by app.
- Guide [guide-symbol]: Opens the live TV channel guide.
- Prime Video [prime-video-logo]: Launches Prime Video.
- Partner Button 1 [app-icon-placeholder]: Launches a designated app.
- Play/Pause [play-pause-symbol]: Resumes or pauses playback.
- Fast Forward [fast-forward-symbol]: Fast forwards or skips ahead. Behavior varies by app.
- Volume +/- [volume-up-symbol]/[volume-down-symbol]: Adjusts volume.
- Mute [mute-symbol]: Toggles audio on/off.
- Netflix [netflix-logo]: Launches Netflix.
- Partner Button 2 [app-icon-placeholder]: Launches a designated app.
