1. Getting Started: Attaching the Stand

Objective: How to attach the stand to your TV (not for wall mounting).

You'll need: Soft surface and a Phillips screwdriver.

  1. Carefully place your TV face-down on a cushioned, clean surface.
  2. Secure each TV stand to the back of your TV with two of the provided M5 screws. The stands are labeled R (right) and L (left).

Wall Mount Preparation

Objective: How to prepare your TV for wall mounting (not for use with TV stands).

You'll need: Soft surface and a Phillips screwdriver.

Before you mount your TV, make sure that:

  • You remove the stands.
  • The wall mount bracket supports the weight of your TV.

Carefully place your TV face-down on a cushioned, clean surface. Refer to the instructions that came with your wall mount for more information about how to correctly mount your TV.

Note: Your TV has four VESA mounting holes on the back. If you attach a wall-mount bracket, it must be securely attached using all four holes. Failure to do so may cause property damage or personal injury.

2. Making Connections

Objective: How to watch TV (cable, satellite, or antenna) or connect a device (e.g., DVD player, game console) and how to connect to the internet.

Connecting Audio/Video Sources

  • HDMI (BEST): Provides the best video quality. Connect an ARC-enabled home theater receiver to the HDMI 1 (ARC) jack.
  • AV (GOOD): For standard definition connections using composite video and stereo audio.
  • COAXIAL (GOOD): For cable input.

Connecting Audio Output

  • USING ANALOG AUDIO: Connect to the AUDIO IN jacks (L/R) on your soundbar or speakers.
  • USING DIGITAL AUDIO: Connect to the OPTICAL AUDIO IN port [OPTICAL AUDIO IN] for digital audio output.

Connecting to the Internet

  • ETHERNET (OPTIONAL): Connect via LAN cable for a wired internet connection [ETHERNET].
  • Wi-Fi: Connect wirelessly through your network settings.

Note: You must connect via LAN or Wi-Fi to access the internet.

Antenna Connection

Note: Connect an HD antenna to the ANT/CABLE IN port [ANT/CABLE IN] to access live, over-the-air TV.

TV Back Panel Overview

The back of the TV features:

  • Remote sensor
  • Power On/Standby LED indicator
  • Power/Input button: Press to turn the TV on or off manually. A short press changes inputs; a long press turns off the TV.
  • USB port [USB]
  • HDMI ports (including HDMI OUT and HDMI 1 (ARC)) [HDMI]
  • ANT/CABLE IN port [ANT/CABLE IN]
  • AV (AUDIO/VIDEO OUT) port [AV]
  • LAN port [ETHERNET]

3. Turning On Your TV

  1. Plug the power cord into the AC IN jack [AC IN] on the back of the TV, then plug the other end into a power outlet.
  2. Remove the remote control cover and install two AAA batteries [AAA batteries].
  3. Press the [Power] button on your Voice Remote with Alexa.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial power-on sequence.

4. Completing the On-Screen Setup

Your TV should automatically pair with your Voice Remote with Alexa. If there are pairing issues, press the [Home] button on the remote. If problems persist, try re-inserting or replacing the batteries.

  1. Select your Wi-Fi network from the displayed list. If your network is password-protected, have your Wi-Fi password ready. If your network is hidden, select "Join Other Network" and enter the password using the on-screen keyboard.
  2. Select your experience:
    • Full (Recommended): Provides access to live TV, over 500,000 movies and TV episodes, thousands of apps, and Alexa skills. Requires signing in or signing up for a free Amazon account.
    • Basic: Limited to live TV and six streaming apps. Alexa and the full Appstore are not included.
  3. Follow any remaining on-screen instructions to finalize setup.

5. Optional: Watching Live Over-the-Air TV

If you connected your TV to an antenna or cable wall jack:

  1. After initial setup, run a channel scan by navigating to Settings > Live TV > Channel Scan.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the channel scan.
  3. To browse and watch live, over-the-air TV, use the "On Now" row or press the [Guide] button on your remote.

Using Your Voice Remote with Alexa

  • [Power]: Turns the TV power on or off.
  • [Voice]: Hold to activate the Alexa-enabled microphone for voice commands. Use your voice to search for content, control playback, and more. (Requires an Amazon account).
  • [Select]: Confirms a selection or action.
  • [Home]: Takes you to the Home Screen. Long press opens the Quick Settings Overlay.
  • [Back]: Returns you to the previous screen.
  • [Rewind]: Rewinds (long press) and skips back (short press). Behavior varies by app.
  • [Volume Up] / [Volume Down]: Increases or decreases the volume.
  • [Guide]: Brings up the live TV Channel Guide.
  • [Mute]: Mutes or unmutes the sound.
  • [Prime Video]: Launches Prime Video from any screen or when the TV is off.
  • [Netflix]: Launches Netflix from any screen or when the TV is off.
  • [Partner Button 1] / [Partner Button 2]: Launches a designated app from any screen or when the TV is off.
  • Navigation Arrows ([Up Arrow], [Down Arrow], [Left Arrow], [Right Arrow]): Used for on-screen navigation.
  • [Menu]: Turns on contextual commands on the screen.
  • [Play/Pause]: Resumes or pauses playback.
  • [Forward]: Fast forwards (long press) and skips ahead (short press). Behavior varies by app.
  • [Channel Up] / [Channel Down]: Goes to the next or previous live TV channel.
  • [Settings]: Activates the quick settings overlay.
  • [Recents]: Opens a row of recently watched content for easy switching.
