Turn On & Connect the Transmitter and Headphones

  1. Powering up the transmitter: Connect to a 5V/500mA-2A power source (TV USB or other) using the provided USB cable. Slide the Mode switch to "TX" to turn it on.
  2. Turn on the headphone: From off status, hold for 3 seconds until the BLUE LED is on.
  3. Wait for automatic reconnection: Once connected, you will hear "Connected" voice prompt from both devices. The transmitter's "A" LED will be lit.

Connect the Transmitter to your TV or other audio source

Check your audio source output options before connecting.

Diagram illustrating various audio output connections (Fig 2-1). Shows Optical Out, Headphone Out (3.5mm), and RCA Out (Red/White) ports on a typical TV or audio source device.

If your TV has Optical Out:

  1. Use the Optical cable to connect the transmitter and TV.
  2. Ensure the "OPT" LED on the transmitter is lit. If not, press once.
  3. Set your TV's Sound Out/Speaker setting to "External Speaker" or "Optical audio out".
  4. Set your TV's Audio Format/Digital Sound Out setting to "PCM" or set Dolby/DTS Digital to "OFF".
  5. The OPT LED on the transmitter will turn SOLID WHITE when playing TV audio.

Note: If you encounter issues or no sound, consult your TV manufacturer.

If your TV has Headphone Out:

  1. Use the AUX cable to connect the transmitter and TV.
  2. Ensure the "AUX" LED on the transmitter is on. If not, press once.
  3. The "AUX" LED will turn SOLID WHITE when playing TV audio.

Note: If there is no sound or the LED is flashing, set your TV's Sound Out/Speaker setting to "Wired headphones" or "Headset".

If your TV has Red/White Audio Out (RCA):

  1. Use the AUX cable and the 3.5mm to RCA Audio Cable to connect the transmitter and TV.
  2. Ensure the "AUX" LED on the transmitter is on. If not, press once.
  3. The "AUX" LED will turn SOLID WHITE when playing TV audio.

Note: If there is no sound or the LED is flashing, set your TV's Sound Out/Speaker setting to "External Speaker".

Diagram showing connection to an AV Receiver's front 6.35mm (1/4 inch) phone jack (Fig 2-2).
  • Slide the ATT. Switch to "AVR(-8Db)" for AV Receiver function.
  • Ensure the "AUX" LED is on; if not, short press to select AUX audio. The AUX LED should be SOLID WHITE when streaming audio.

Important Notes:

  • DO NOT use the RCA ports on the back of your AV receiver; they may cause permanent damage.
  • ONLY use the large 6.35MM PHONE OUT jack on the FRONT of your AV Receiver with a 6.35mm to 3.5mm adapter (not included).
  • DO NOT set the AV receiver volume too high.
  • Test the port with wired headphones before using.

Streaming audio through Bluetooth headphones and sound system simultaneously

The unique "Bypass" feature allows connecting the Oasis Plus TX to both your TV and your sound system (e.g., soundbar, AV receiver, external speaker) at the same time. This feature works even if the transmitter is turned off.

Diagram illustrating the Bypass feature connection (Fig 3-1), showing how the transmitter can pass audio through to a sound system while also sending it to headphones.

Important: Use the same type of input/output connection for both the TV and the sound system (e.g., Optical to Optical, AUX/RCA to AUX/RCA).

Add a 2nd pair of Bluetooth headphones

  1. Turn on the HT5006 transmitter and the first headphone; LED A will light up.
  2. Manually enter the transmitter into PAIRING MODE: Hold for 2 seconds until the "TX" LED flashes GREEN and WHITE alternately.
  3. Enter your 2nd set of headphones into Bluetooth PAIRING MODE (refer to their user manual).
  4. Keep devices close and wait for connection. You will hear "Connected. Ready for use" and LEDs A and B on the transmitter will be lit.

Note for subsequent use: Turn on the NB16 headphone first. Once connected, turn on the second headphone. If reconnection fails, try turning on the second headphone before the NB16. After they connect, turn on the NB16 and press once on it to reconnect.

Charging the headphone

Diagram showing the headphone charging port and LED indicator (Fig 5-1).

Charge the headphone when you hear the "low battery" voice prompt (RED LED flashes every 10 seconds).

  • Use a phone charger (5V/500mA-2A output), PC USB, TV USB, or other USB outlet with the included USB cable.
  • Full charge takes about 2 hours.
  • The LED is RED while charging and turns off when complete.
  • Provides approximately 20 hours of playback at 60% volume.
