1 System Overview
This diagram shows the primary system for the whole-home photovoltaic energy cycle.

2 Unboxing
In the Solarbank Box:

3 Installation
Important Safety Precautions:
- Do not place the equipment near direct sunlight, fire, or explosive materials.
- Ensure Solarbank is off during installation.
- To avoid water damage, do not remove the bottom rubber plug when installing the bottom expansion battery or only one Solarbank.
- We recommend finding a qualified electrician for installation.
- Wear insulating gloves (not included) during installation.
- Turn off the main breaker before installation.
Tools (Not Included): Pen, Phillips Screwdriver (PH1 and PH2), Hammer, Power Drill (Drill Bit: 8 mm)

- Expansion Battery: 233 mm x 460 mm x 217.5 mm, 24 kg
Installation Steps:
- Prepare Tools
- Remove Rubber Plugs: Unfasten screws (if applicable) and pry open the rubber plugs.
- Place the Bottom Expansion Battery: Position within Wi-Fi coverage for Solarbank to connect to the network, 18 to 47 mm away from the wall.
- Stack Up with Solarbank at the Top: Stack expansion batteries in sequence with Solarbank at the top.
- Install the Wall Mount Kit: Attach the L-shape wall mount fittings to both sides of the first expansion battery under Solarbank. Partially tighten the short screw, mark a pilot hole, rotate the fitting down, drill the marked hole, insert the anchor, rotate the fitting back up, tighten the long screw, and finally tighten the short screw.
- Install the Interlocking Kit: Snap a fixed bracket in place and tighten the screw.

4 Electrical Connections
Important Notes:
- Ensure Solarbank is off during wiring.
- Ensure unused PV ports are sealed with waterproof caps.
- Never connect PV modules in series to avoid damage.
- Ground Solarbank using the grounding point as shown. Refer to the online user guide for detailed wiring instructions.
Connections:
- Connect to the Grid: Connect Solarbank to a home outlet.
- Connect to Your Device: Power your device directly using the backup terminal if needed.
- Connect to PV Modules:
- Direct Connection (Up to 4 PV Modules): Connect each PV module directly to the same set of PV input ports.
- Parallel Connection (Up to 8 PV Modules): Connect every two PV modules to the same set of PV input ports. Use Anker SOLIX Solar Panel Extension Cable and Anker SOLIX Y Branch Connector (sold separately).
- (Optional) Install the Smart Meter:
- Scan the QR code for instructions.
- Three-Phase Connection: Features three types of live wires (L1, L2, L3). Install the smart meter, prepare and connect cables, insert the CT link and snap CTs to the home-side cables. The CT arrows point from home to the grid.
- Single-Phase Connection: Features one live wire type (L1). Install the smart meter, prepare and connect cables, insert the CT link and snap CT to the L1 cable. The CT arrow points from home to the grid.
- Smart Meter Side Connections: Ensure plug is inserted fully into the terminal (6.5 ± 0.5 mm). Cable gauge: 0.4-1.6 mm.
- After electrical connections, the smart meter powers on automatically.
- Connect to the network using the Anker app within 30 minutes or the smart meter will turn off.
5 Device Setup
Power On:
- First use requires connection of a PV module and a home outlet.
- With solar or AC input: Solarbank turns on automatically. To turn it off, disconnect from PV modules and home outlet, then press the power button for 3 seconds.
- Without solar and AC input: Press the power button for 3 seconds to turn Solarbank on or off.
Confirm Networking Status: Solarbank enters networking mode automatically when powered on. Ensure the IoT button is flashing blue. Connect to the network using the Anker app within 30 minutes or Solarbank will turn off.
Use the Anker App:
- Download and install the Anker app. Sign in or create an account.
- Add your Solarbank.
- Connect to the network.
Smart Meter Light Guide:
- Working Normally: Solid light.
- Upgrading: Flashing light.
- Unable to Collect Grid Data: No Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Connection.
- Grid Data Collected: Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Connected.
