How to wear headphones correctly

Welcome to MINISO Clip-on wireless earphones.

Take out and pair it

When using for the first time, take out both the left and right earphones simultaneously. When the white light and ice blue light of the earphones flash alternately, the earphones will enter automatic pairing mode.

  1. Step 1: Identify the left and right earbuds.
  2. Step 2: Hold the earbud with your fingers, positioning it to align with your ear.
  3. Step 3: Gently insert the earbud into your ear, ensuring a comfortable and secure fit.

The charging case features an intelligent display screen, a Type-C interface for charging, and a multi-function key.

Touch Operation

Connect with Bluetooth device

Open the Bluetooth settings on your device. Enter the options and find the Bluetooth pairing name of the headset, which is "MINISO-M98". Click the pairing name to connect.

Indicator Light Description

  • When the headset is turned on: The white light and the ice blue light flash alternately.
  • When the headset is turned off: After the white light is on, it goes out.
  • Pairing status: White light and ice blue light flash alternately.
  • Connection successful: No light.
  • Headphone Charging: The white light on the earphones is always on. After being fully charged, the white light on the earphones goes off.
  • Charging of the Charging case: The charging case display screen shows the battery level. When fully charged, the charging case screen shows 100%.
    Note: After the charging status is displayed on the charging case screen, it will automatically turn off after about 30 seconds of inactivity. Sliding can re-enter the display screen.

Once Press

  • Music mode: Press once to Play/Pause (▶‖).
  • Phone mode: Press once to Answer/End Call (?).

Double Press

  • Music mode: Double press the right earbud for Volume up (➕). Double press the left earbud for Volume decreases (➖).

Long Press

  • Wake up voice assistant: When using both earbuds, press and hold the left ear multi-function button for 2 seconds to activate the voice assistant. When using one earphone, press and hold the left (or right) earphone for 2 seconds to activate the voice assistant.
  • Phone mode: Press and hold the left (or right) ear multi-function button for two seconds to reject a call (?❌).

Triple Press

  • Music mode: Triple press on the left earbud for Previous song (⏮). Triple press on the right earbud for Next song (⏭).

Clear Bluetooth pairing history

When both earbuds cannot be paired, clear all connected devices and click the left and right earphones 5 times at the same time.

Wireless pairing mode

  1. When there is no pairing record for the left and right earphones, they will automatically pair after being turned on. After successful pairing, there will be two beeps.
  2. When the left and right earphones have pairing records, they will automatically connect back when they are turned on, and the prompt will sound "beep".

Switch between game mode and music mode

  • Game mode: Press and hold the multi-function button on the right ear for 2 seconds (?).
  • Music mode: Press and hold again for 2 seconds (?).
  • Note 1: When using one earphone, you cannot switch between game mode and music mode.
  • Note 2: The factory setting defaults to music mode.

Charging Compartment Operation

Lighting up the display screen

  1. Method 1: Open the charging compartment cover, and the display screen will automatically light up.
  2. Method 2: When the screen is off, click on the display screen to turn it on.
  3. Method 3: Press the multifunctional button of the Charging Case once to light up the screen.

Turn off display screen

  • Automatic shutdown: After turning on the screen for 30 seconds without operation, the display screen will automatically turn off.
  • Manual closing: Press the Charging Case multifunctional button once to turn off the display screen.
  • Note 1: First time use, please activate power on
  • Method 1: Charge and activate the charging case through the TYPE-C interface.
  • Method 2: Long press the multifunctional button on the charging case for 8 seconds to turn on the device.
  • Tip: This product defaults to shutdown mode when it leaves the factory. First use requires activation and startup.

Icon Introduction

Bluetooth status

  • Red status: The charging compartment is not connected to the headphones.
  • White status: The charging compartment is connected to the earphones, but the earphones are not connected to the phone.
  • Blue status: The charging compartment is connected to the headphones, and the headphones are connected to the phone.

Battery status

  • Charging status indicator icon for the charging compartment:
    Blue: Charging in progress.
    White: Normal battery level, not charging.
  • Headphone charging status indicator icon (L/R):
    Flicker: The earphones are charging in the Charging Case.
    Chang Liang: Normal battery level, not charging.

Lock Screen Interface

The lock screen displays the time (e.g., 15:33). To unlock, slide to the right.

Music Interface

The music interface shows battery percentage (e.g., 70%), time (e.g., 15:38), and "Phone Music". Controls include Previous Song (⏮), Play/Pause (▶‖), and Next Song (⏭).

Volume Adjustment Interface

The volume adjustment interface shows "Volume adjustment" and a numerical value (e.g., 10). Controls allow reducing volume (➖, minimum 0) and increasing volume (➕, maximum 16).

Equalizer Interface

The equalizer interface shows "Equalizer" and the current setting (e.g., "normal"). Users can switch between different EQ sound effects: Normal, Rock, Pop, Classic, Jazz.

Alarm Clock Interface

The alarm clock interface shows "Alarm clock" and preset times (e.g., 5min). A "SETUP" button is available. Switching requires setting the alarm time: 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes.

Light Level Interface

The light level interface shows "Light Level". Click the left button to decrease screen brightness; click the right button to increase screen brightness.

Screen Lock Interface

The screen lock interface shows "Screen lock". Click to switch between different lock screen wallpapers; the current screen is the selected lock screen wallpaper.

Language Switch Interface

The language switch interface shows "Language Switch" and the current language (e.g., "English"). Click to switch languages from different countries.

Time Setting Interface

The time setting interface displays the date (e.g., 2024/05/17) and time (e.g., 15:33:18). A "Setup" button is available.

  • Automatic update: When the charging case, headphones, and phone are connected, the time on the phone will be automatically updated to the charging case.
  • Manual update: Click the button to enter manual settings.

Find My Earphone Interface

  1. The "Find My Earphone" interface shows "L" and "R" buttons. Click the L/R button, and a screen titled "Take Off Earphone" will appear with "CANCEL" and "START" options.
  2. Click "CANCEL" to exit this function. Click "START", and a second screen titled "Find My Earphone" will appear with a play/pause button (‖). The headphone speaker will start emitting sound.
  3. Click the stop button (‖) to stop the sound.

Tiktok Page Flipping and Like Function

This function requires connection to a Bluetooth device such as a cell phone.

  • Important Note: This function is only available for use with TIKTOK software; other software may not be able to use it.
  • This feature may have compatibility issues with some phones.
  • If situations arise where it cannot be used, please ignore this feature.

The interface shows a heart icon (❤️) for liking. Click this icon to like the current short video. Controls also allow switching to the previous short video (⏮) or the next short video (⏭).

Photography Function

This function requires connection to a Bluetooth device such as a cell phone.

  • Important Note: This function is only available for taking photos with the built-in camera of the phone; other shooting software may not be able to use it.
  • This feature may have compatibility issues with some phones.
  • If situations arise where it cannot be used, please ignore this feature.

The interface shows a camera icon (?) and "Photograph". Open the phone camera, click the button, and the phone will start taking photos. When not in shooting mode, clicking this photo button will increase the volume.

Flash Light Interface

The interface shows "Flash Light" and an "OPEN" button. Click the button to turn on the flashlight; the entire screen turns white, and the brightness of the screen increases.

Definition of Multifunctional Button Functions

The multi-function key on the charging case has several operations:

  • Click once: On/Off screen.
  • Long press for 3 seconds: In power-on mode, long press for 3 seconds, and the screen will pop up shutdown and restart icons. Clicking on the icon can achieve shutdown or restart.
  • Long press for 8 seconds: In shutdown mode, long press for 8 seconds to turn on the device.
  • Long press for 10 seconds: Restart the system (displays the startup screen). This operation can be performed when the system crashes and cannot be operated.

Warranty Statement

MINISO Product Warranty Card

The manual includes a template for a product warranty card with fields for Product number, SN number, Purchase date, User info (name, telephone, address, Invoice number), and Sales unit information (name, address, telephone, stamp).

The above guarantee does not apply to the following situations:

  1. The validity period of the three guarantees has exceeded.
  2. Altering of the warranty cards and product code does not match the product itself.
  3. Failure or damages caused by misuse, abuse, or improper transportation, use, maintenance, or storage.
  4. Failure or damages caused by force majeure (such as earthquake, war, fire, etc.) or accident.
  5. Zippers and tower buckles are damaged due to excessive force.
  6. Off-line or tear caused by overloading.
  7. Any damage caused by sharp objects.
  8. Products with signs of burn damage or water logging.
  9. Damage caused by unauthorized dismantling and modification.
  10. Aging, discoloration, wear, cracking, and other losses that occur during normal use of the product.
  11. If the product's original logo or label is changed or damaged, this warranty will be invalid.

The completeness and appearance of the product and accompanying materials are not covered by the warranty. Customers should inspect the product on site when receiving it and raise objections to any discrepancies.

Warranty statement:

The following guarantee is made for the products attached to this document: If the product is damaged due to quality defects under normal use within twelve (12) months from the date of purchase (the “Warranty Period"), and if it can be repaired, it will be repaired free of charge. If the manufacturer confirms that it cannot be repaired, it will be replaced free of charge. The repaired product will continue to be covered by the warranty for the remaining warranty period (a minimum of not less than 30 days). The purchase date shall be based on the sales invoice date; if the purchase date cannot be determined, the warranty period shall be calculated as thirteen (13) months from the product production date.

To apply for warranty, customers should call the product service hotline first and follow instructions. When applying for a warranty, a valid sales invoice that is accurate, complete, and clearly filled out is required.

Guidelines for Safe and Effective Use

Note: Please read this information first before using your Bluetooth headset. If the user makes modifications or modifications to this Bluetooth headset without permission, the user will lose the right to continue to enjoy the services included in the device.

Electromagnetic interference:

  • Electronic devices: To avoid the effects of electromagnetic interference or configuration incompatibility, turn off your Bluetooth device in accordance with regulations in places with clear instructions.
  • Civil Aviation: After boarding the plane, turn off your Bluetooth headset according to the flight attendant's instructions. It is strictly prohibited to use Bluetooth headsets during flight to avoid interference with the aircraft communication system.

Safety matters:

  • Placement: It is recommended that when not using the Bluetooth headset, place it in a location where it will not be squeezed. Squeezing may cause damage to the product or personal injury.
  • Children: Do not let children play with Bluetooth headsets. Some small parts are detachable and may be swallowed, causing danger.

Important Safety Tips

  • Except for the operation methods specifically marked in the manual, do not attempt to disassemble or replace any parts in the product.
  • This product contains a built-in rechargeable battery. It is prohibited to hit, squeeze, puncture, or short-circuit the battery. If there are abnormal phenomena such as excessive temperature, deformation, bulging, or leakage, stop using it. Do not expose the battery to open flames or sunlight. Do not use the battery after it has been immersed in water or in high-temperature or high-pressure environments such as direct sun, heaters, or stoves. After using the earphones, do not place them in a humid, dusty, oily smoke, steam, direct sunlight, or other high-temperature and high-pressure environment to avoid damage to the earphones and battery. The battery can be charged and discharged for a limited number of times and will eventually age. If the battery is used abnormally, it can be replaced with a new one. However, do not replace the battery by yourself. If the battery is not replaced properly, there is a risk of explosion. It can only be replaced by an after-sales service provider of the same or equivalent type.
  • After the product is used and scrapped, do not throw the product into a fire. Waste should be disposed of in strict accordance with garbage classification. Use this product reasonably and correctly to avoid causing certain injuries and environmental damage.
  • During the use of headphones, due to long distances, obstacles in the middle, or a series of interferences such as other radio signals, Bluetooth signals, WIFI signals, etc., when listening to music, watching videos, or playing games, there may be occasional lags, voice out-of-sync, or disconnection. If this happens, reconnect the headphones or stay away from interference.
  • When charging, use a charging device with an output voltage of DC 5V/1A. Choose a charging device from a regular manufacturer that has obtained CCC safety certification. Do not use a fast-charging charger to avoid excessive battery load, which may damage the battery. Do not charge continuously for longer than the specified charging time. Do not use it while charging to avoid damage.
