Installation and Pairing
Connecting a Switch
Connect a switch to the dimmer (8-230V pulsed pushbutton).
Pairing with a Controller (Adding to a Zigbee Network)
- Step 1: For certainty, first perform a remove-from-Zigbee network action. This prevents potential inclusion problems.
- Step 2: Select 'add lamp' on your Zigbee controller (e.g., the Hue bridge).
- Step 3: Power cycle the device to enter inclusion mode (the connected lamp flashes twice slowly). The include mode ends after 15 seconds; repeat the action if necessary.
- Step 4: Successfully added: The lamp flashes 5 times and then remains lit. The dimmer now appears in the Zigbee controller's interface.
Pairing via TouchLink (Directly with a Zigbee Remote Control)
- Step 1: Method 1: Press the Reset button 4 times briefly to start TouchLink pairing, or cycle power to the module. Method 2: Power the module. After 15 seconds, TouchLink starts, provided the module is not already paired to a network.
- Step 2: Keep the remote control or wall switch within 10 cm of the lighting device.
- Step 3: Start the reset procedure on the remote control or wall switch (refer to the device's manual).
- Step 4: You will receive a notification on the remote. The dimmer itself will flash the connected lamp twice.
Notes: 1) Direct TouchLink (neither device added to a network): Device pairs with 1 remote control. 2) Network TouchLink (both devices added to a network): Each device can pair with a maximum of 30 remote controls. 3) Hue Bridge & Amazon Echo Plus: Pair the remote control first, then use TouchLink. 4) After TouchLink pairing, the device can also be controlled via the remote control.
Removing the Device from a Zigbee Network
Select the 'remove device' option in the Zigbee controller's menu (e.g., Hue bridge) and remove the device. The lamp connected to the Zigbee dimmer will flash 3 times for confirmation.
Search and Pairing Mode (Find & Bind Mode)
Note: Ensure the Zigbee dimmer and the remote control are in the same network.
- Step 1: Press the 'Reset' button 3 times briefly (or cycle power 3 times) to start the search and bind mode. The connected lamp flashes slowly. The timeout is 180 seconds. Repeat this action if necessary.
- Step 2: Place the remote control/wall switch into find and bind mode to find and bind the initiator (consult the remote control's manual).
- Step 3: A confirmation message will appear on the remote control/wall switch if the pairing is successful.
Factory Reset (Manual)
Note: 1) If the dimmer is already reset to factory settings, nothing will happen. 2) All settings will be erased.
- Step 1: Press the reset button 5 times in succession, or cycle power to the module 5 times if you cannot access the 'Reset' button.
- Step 2: The connected lamp will flash 3 times to indicate that the reset has been performed correctly.
Pairing with Zigbee Green Power Remote
- Step 1: Press the 'Reset' button 4 times briefly (or cycle power 4 times) to start learning mode. The connected lamp flashes twice. The timeout is 180 seconds. Repeat this action if necessary.
- Step 2: Put the Green Power remote control into learning mode (consult its manual).
- Step 3: The lamp flashes 2 times if the pairing is successful. From now on, you can control the lamp with the remote control. Note: A maximum of 20 Zigbee pairings can be made.
Removing a Zigbee Green Power Remote
- Step 1: Press the 'Reset' button 3 times briefly (or cycle power 3 times) to start learning mode. The lamp flashes slowly. The timeout is 180 seconds. Repeat the action if necessary.
- Step 2: Put the paired Green Power Remote into Learning mode (consult its manual).
- Step 3: The lamp flashes 4 times to indicate that the pairing has been successfully removed.
Setting up Zigbee Network and Adding Other Devices (No Coordinator Required)
- Step 1: Press the 'Reset' button 4 times briefly (or cycle power 4 times) to start learning mode. The connected lamp flashes twice. The timeout is 180 seconds. Repeat this action if necessary.
- Step 2: Put another device, remote control, or touch panel into network pairing mode and connect it to the network; consult their manuals.
- Step 3: Pair more devices and remote controls; consult the manuals of the devices you wish to pair.
- Step 4: Connect the added devices and remote controls via TouchLink so that the devices can be controlled by the remote controls; consult the relevant manuals.
Note: 1) Each added device can connect and be controlled by a maximum of 30 added remote controls. 2) Each added remote control can control a maximum of 30 added devices.
OTA (Over-The-Air) Updates
The device supports Firmware updates via OTA and will automatically obtain new firmware from the Zigbee controller or hub every 10 minutes.
Setting Minimum Dim Value
Set the brightness to the desired level via the Zigbee hub or controller interface, or a remote control. Then, briefly press the 'Min. Set' button. The connected load will only be dimmable between this minimum brightness and 100% brightness. The dimming range of this dimmer is 1%-100%, but some load types may flicker when dimmed to 1%. Therefore, a minimum brightness higher than 1% should be set to prevent flickering during dimming.
Removing Minimum Dim Value
Set the dimmer to 100% via the Zigbee hub or a remote control, and then press and hold the 'Min. Set' button for 3 seconds. The minimum dim value is now removed from memory.
Operation via a Switch (Pushbutton)
Connect a pushbutton to the dimmer. A short press turns the light on/off. If you press and hold the switch longer, the lamp will get brighter and dimmer; pressing again changes the direction.
Wiring Diagrams
This phase dimmer uses trailing edge dim technology. Ensure that the connected lamps support this control type. Consult the lamp's user manual or consult the lamp supplier.
