Installation and Electrical Requirements
Unpacking
Remove all packing materials. Check the oven for damage (misaligned door, damaged seals, broken hinges, dents). Do not operate if damaged; contact dealer or servicer. Do not remove the waveguide cover.
Choosing a Location
The oven can be built into a cabinet or wall, above or below other appliances. Allow 2 inches (50.8 mm) of space between products if installing above another oven or warming drawer.
Electrical Requirements
Requires a 220-240 V AC, 60 Hz, 30 Amp supply. Output power varies by function: Microwave (950W), Top Element (1700W), Bottom Element (500W), Convection Element (2200W). Power cord is 825/8" (2.1 m).
Note: Consult a qualified electrician for grounding and electrical instructions. Check local codes. For US installations, follow the National Electrical Code (ANSI/NFPA No. 70). For Canada, follow CSA standard C22.1.
Electrical Connections
A 40 Amp breaker or fuse is required for both 240V and 208V. All wiring must be done by a qualified electrician.
Power Connections
The unit has a neutral (white) power supply wire and a cabinet-connected (green) grounding wire. Connect the unit cable to the junction box using a UL-listed conduit connector. Ensure proper wire nut usage and conduit strain relief.
Wiring Diagrams
3-Wire Cable (U.S. Only, where permitted): Connect black wires together, neutral (white) wires and ground (green/bare) wire together, and red wires together. Install junction box cover.
4-Wire Cable (U.S. where grounding through neutral is not allowed, new construction, Canada): Connect black wires together, red wires together, and neutral (white) wires together. Connect the ground (green/bare) wire from the oven cable to the ground wire in the junction box.

Speed Functions Cooking Tips
- Roast meats on the low rack; use a dish for drippings.
- Tenderize less tender cuts with oven cooking bags.
- Check doneness after cooking time; allow standing time if needed.
Oven Usage and Cleaning
Before Using the Oven
Initial setup involves selecting Bake mode, setting temperature to 500°F, running the oven for 30 minutes with the door closed (to burn off protective substances), and then allowing it to cool.
General Usage
- Do not place items on the oven bottom to avoid damaging the enamel.
- Place food on oven racks.
- Preheat for best results in baking, cakes, cookies, pastry, and breads.
- Preheating helps sear roasts and seal juices.
- Position racks before preheating.
- Do not set pans on the open oven door.
- Use interior oven lights to view food instead of opening the door frequently.
Utensils
Glass dishes absorb heat; reduce temperature by 25°F. Use pans that produce desired browning. Shiny pans give lighter browning; dark pans give browner, crisper results. Do not cook with an empty broiler pan.
Oven Racks
Place food or bakeware on racks to avoid damaging the porcelain finish. Racks can be placed in six height positions. Position racks before turning on the oven and ensure they are level. Racks have a stop to prevent full withdrawal.
Removing/Replacing Oven Racks
Pull rack to the stop position, lift the front edge, and remove. To replace, place on supports, tilt up, slide to rear, lower front, and slide into oven.
Component Cooling Fan
The fan activates during cooking and self-cleaning to cool components. It runs until components are sufficiently cooled.
Oven Door Safety
- Do not close the door if racks are not fully inserted or bakeware extends past the rack edge.
- Do not place objects on the glass surface.
- Do not hit glass surfaces with bakeware or objects.
- Do not wipe glass surfaces until the oven has completely cooled.
Oven Vents
Blocking vents impairs air circulation, cooking, cleaning, and cooling. Vents allow fresh air entry and hot air expulsion.
Oven Condensation and Temperature
Moisture evaporation is normal. Condensation may appear on cooler surfaces like the control panel. The electronic temperature sensor maintains accuracy; recipe adjustments may be needed.
Cleaning and Care
- Exterior: Clean with mild soap and water, rinse, and dry with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Door: Wipe window with a damp cloth. Wipe metal parts frequently with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners.
- Touch Control Panel: Clean with a slightly damp cloth and dry with a soft cloth. Do not scrub or use chemical cleaners.
- Interior (Microwave Cooking): Wipe with a soft cloth and warm water. Use baking soda or mild soap for heavy soil, then rinse. Never spray oven cleaners directly onto the oven.
- Interior (Convection, Speed Bake, Speed Roast): Wash spatters immediately with hot, soapy water. Rinse and dry. For stubborn spatters, use an oven cleaner pad with liquid cleaner, following manufacturer's directions carefully. Rinse thoroughly. Run oven at 450°F (232°C) for 20 minutes without food to remove residual grease from ducts and heater.
- Waveguide Cover: Made of mica, requires special care. Wipe with a damp cloth immediately after spatters occur. Built-up splashes can overheat and cause fire. Do not remove.
- Odor Removal: Combine 1 cup water, lemon peel/juice, and cloves in a glass cup. Boil for several minutes at 100% power. Let cool in oven, then wipe interior.
- Turntable/Turntable Support: Wash in mild, sudsy water. Dishwasher safe (top rack for support). Avoid cooking highly acidic foods directly on the turntable. Do not allow spills on the turntable motor shaft.
