Safety Precautions
- Always respect applicable legislation for working with electrical equipment.
- Avoid looking directly into the beam of light, as this can cause dazzling.
- Do not use the lamp near open flames.
- Protect the mains cable from oil, heat, and sharp edges.
- Use only Metabo CAS battery packs. Internal backup battery must be replaced with an original SCANGRIP battery.
- Do not leave the battery flat, as it may become incapable of being charged.
- The light source is not replaceable; the entire luminaire must be replaced when the light source reaches its end of life.
- Luminaire is suitable for direct mounting on non-combustible surfaces only.
- Maintain a minimum distance of 0.1m from lighted objects.
Bluetooth Control & App
Control the AREA 10 CAS via the SCANGRIP app for enhanced functionality.
- Turn lamp on/off or adjust light output.
- Control/connect up to 4 lamps simultaneously.
- Assign a PIN code to prevent unauthorized control.
- App compatible with iOS 10.3+ and Android 5.0+.
- Download the app from the iTunes App Store or Google Play.
Deleting the PIN Code:
Activate Bluetooth function, then press and hold the Bluetooth button for 10 seconds. The PIN code will be reset.
Operation
The lamp features intuitive controls:
Control Panel Description:
- A Button: Press to turn the lamp on/off. Press and hold for 2 seconds to switch between 360° and 180° light modes.
- B Button: Press to increase brightness.
- C Button: Press to decrease brightness.
- D Button: Press to enable/disable Bluetooth.
Brightness adjustments are saved and recalled on the next power-on.
Battery Compatibility & Power
- Designed for Metabo CAS battery packs (12V and 18V).
- A SCANGRIP power supply can be used instead of a battery (requires battery cover removal).
- The built-in USB power bank provides 5V DC / 1A output for charging mobile devices. The USB outlet is disabled in backup mode.
Disposal and Warranty
- Dispose of electrical products responsibly at designated recycling facilities.
- Remove batteries before disposal and disconnect the device from the mains.
- The product comes with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty for customers in Australia and New Zealand only.
