This instruction book provides details for the Electrolux UltimateCare 700/500 Handheld Garment Steamer.
Safety Advice
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the fabric steamer and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years when it is energized or cooling down. - If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. The fabric steamer is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking.

- This appliance is suitable to operate on both 50 and 60Hz.
- CAUTION: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut-out, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.
Getting Started
- Before first use, remove all adhesive remains and gently rub with a dampened cloth. Rinse the water tank to remove foreign particles. When switched on for the first time, temporary vapours/odours may occur.
- Remove the water tank and fill water into it. This product is appropriate for use with tap water. Never put scented water or ironing aids in the water tank. This may cause brown spitting and staining. Place the water tank in the main unit. [? Water]
- Insert the plug into the power socket. [?] For E5GS2-42WP, press the ON/OFF switch button to heat up the product. For E7GS2-72xx, select the program to achieve the desired steam setting.

- The power light will be on and steam will be released after 30 seconds. [⏰ ~30s] Hang clothes on the clothes rack or place on an ironing board. Press the trigger switch to release steam if desired. CAUTION: Do not release steam towards people or animals. [? Steam Release]
- For E7GS2-72xx, toggle once to switch between programs. Press the trigger switch to release steam if desired.
- Switch off the product and unplug from the mains. Allow the product to cool down for at least 1 hour. [? OFF] [⏰ 1h Cooling]
Cleaning and Care
- Remove the water tank from the main unit, drain the remaining water from the water tank. [? Drain]
- Recommended to coil the cord around the main unit and secure the cord with the clip. [? Cord Wrap]
- In areas with medium water hardness, we recommend to descale the product every 6 months, while in areas with very hard water, we recommend to descale every 3 months. [?️ Descale]
Descaling Process
STEP 1: Mix a descaler agent and water at the specific ratio (refer to pictorial instruction, point 9). Fill the mixture into the water tank and place the water tank in the main unit. Trigger the steam switch until no mixture is left in the tank.
STEP 2: Fill in clean water into the water tank and place the water tank in the main unit. Likewise, trigger the steam switch until no water is left in the tank.
