Wireless Connection - Switch Platform
Note: Please ensure the AIRPLANE mode of the console is turned off before starting using.
First-Time Pairing:
- From the HOME menu of the console, select Controllers, then Change Grip/Order.
- Press and hold the "Home" button on the bottom of the controller for at least five seconds to power on the controller until all 4 LEDs flash. Once paired, the LED will remain lit, and the controller will be shown on the screen.
A visual representation shows two players are supported, with instructions to press L + R on the controller and then press A when ready. The screen displays controller connection status.
Wake Up and Reconnect
Once the controller has paired with the console:
- If the console is in SLEEP mode, the "HOME" button can wake up both the controller and the console.
- If the console is on, all buttons can wake up the controller and reconnect it to the console.
If unable to connect, please follow these steps:
- Turn off the AIRPLANE mode on the console.
- Remove the controller's information on the NS console (System Setting > Controllers and Sensors > Disconnect Controllers).
- Follow the First-Time Pairing steps.
Controller Auto Sleep
- In wireless connection, press and hold the HOME button for 3 seconds to disconnect and enter sleep mode.
- If no button is pressed within 5 minutes, the controller will automatically sleep.
- The controller sleeps when the console is in SLEEP mode.
Wired Connection - Switch Platform
- Set the Switch console on the Dock for TV mode. Connect the Switch Dock and the controller directly with a USB Type C to A cable.
- Press HOME button > Controllers > Change Grip/Order. The controller icon with "USB" displayed on the screen indicates a successful wired connection.
Turbo and Auto-fire
Buttons Available to Set the Turbo Function:
A/B/X/Y/L/ZL/R/ZR buttons
Set Up the Turbo Function:
- Manual Turbo Function: Press and hold the Turbo button, then press any function button ONCE to turn on the "Manual Turbo Function".
- Auto Turbo Function: Repeat the first step above to switch to the "Auto Turbo Function".
- Turn Off the Turbo Function: Repeat the first step after the "Auto Turbo Function" has been set.
Turn Off All Turbo Functions for All Buttons:
Press and hold the Turbo button for 5 seconds; the controller will vibrate, turning off the turbo functions of all buttons.
There Are Three Levels For the Turbo Speed:
- Slow: 10 shots/s, corresponding LED indicators flash slowly.
- Medium: 20 shots/s, corresponding LED indicators flash at a medium speed (Default Level).
- Fast: 30 shots/s, corresponding LED indicators flash quickly.
Adjust the Turbo Speed Levels:
Press and hold the Turbo button, push down the right joystick to decrease turbo speed by one grade; pull up the right joystick to increase turbo speed by one grade.
A visual representation shows pressing the Turbo button and moving the right joystick up or down.
You Can Test and Check the Turbo Settings on a Console:
Settings > Controllers and Sensors > Test Input Devices > Test Controller Buttons
Adjust Vibration Intensity
There Are Four Levels of Vibration Intensity:
None, weak, medium, strong.
Adjust the Vibration Intensity:
- Press and hold the Turbo button, move the left joystick UP to increase vibration intensity by one grade.
- Move the left joystick DOWN to decrease vibration intensity by one grade.
Connect With Windows PC
PC Xbox Wired Connection (X-INPUT)
- Connect the controller to a Windows computer with a USB cable. It will be recognized as "Xbox 360" mode.
- The first and third LED lights (LED1 and LED3) will have a steady light. They will flash when the controller is charging.
Note: Press "-" and "+" buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to transfer to D-input mode.
PC Xbox Wireless Connection
- Press the "Home" and "Y" buttons together for 3 seconds; the first and fourth lights (LED1 and LED2) will flash.
- Turn on your PC's Bluetooth and select the device: "Xbox Wireless Controller".
- The first and second lights (LED1 and LED2) will have a steady light after a successful connection.
Please Note: In Xbox mode, button "A" becomes "B", "B" becomes "A", "X" becomes "Y", and "Y" becomes "X".
STEAM Xbox Mode Connection
Connection with the STEAM platform is possible via Xbox wired and wireless modes as described above.
STEAM Switch Pro Controller Wired Connection
- Press down the right joystick vertically and connect the controller to the computer with the USB cable. The first LED (LED1) will have a steady light and will flash when the controller is charging.
- Note: Please press the joystick vertically when plugging in the USB cable to avoid joystick drifting. If drifting occurs, try moving the joysticks in a circle to recalibrate.
- It will be recognized on Steam as a Pro controller and can be used for supported games.
STEAM Switch Pro Controller Mode Wireless Connection
- Press the "Home" pairing button; the four lights will flash in turn.
- Turn on your PC's Bluetooth and select the device: "Pro Controller".
- The first LED (LED1) will have a steady light after a successful connection.
Connect With iOS Devices
(Compatible with iOS 13.4 above devices)
- Press the "Home" and "Y" buttons together for 3 seconds; the first and second lights (LED1 and LED2) will flash.
- Turn on your mobile's Bluetooth and select the device: "Xbox Wireless Controller".
- The first and second LEDs will have a steady light after a successful connection.
Connect With Android Devices
(Compatible with Android 10.0 above devices)
- Press the "Home" and "Y" buttons together for 3 seconds; the second and third lights (LED 1 and LED2) will flash.
- Turn on your mobile's Bluetooth and select the device: "Xbox Wireless Controller".
- The first and the second LEDs will have a steady light after a successful connection.
Charging Instructions
The controller can be charged using the Switch charger, the Switch Dock, a 5V 2A power adapter, or USB power supplies with a USB Type C to A cable.
- If the controller is connected to the console while charging, the corresponding channel LED light(s) will flash. The channel LED light(s) will stay lit if the controller is fully charged.
- If the controller is not connected to the console while charging, all 4 LED lights will flash. The LED lights will go off when the controller is fully charged.
- When the battery is low, the corresponding channel LED light(s) will flash. The controller will turn off and needs to be charged if the battery is exhausted.
Calibrate the Control Sticks
Press the HOME button > System Settings > Controllers and Sensors > Calibrate Control Sticks > Press the stick you want to calibrate.
Follow the on-screen instructions to verify the controller functionality.
A visual representation shows a calibration screen with a crosshair and instructions to check stick movement and color changes.
Calibrate Motion Controls
Press the HOME button > System Settings > Controllers and Sensors > Calibrate Motion Controls > Calibrate the Controllers > Put the controller on a horizontal plane and hold "-" or "+" on the controller you want to calibrate.
Please Note:
- When using the wireless controller for the first time, it is recommended to calibrate both the Controller Sticks and Motion Controls before usage.
- If calibration fails, press the "Y" button to restore settings and press the "X" button to repeat the calibration steps.
- Power off the controller after calibration is finished, then restart the controller and console.
