1. Connecting

Connect the speaker cables to CEOL.

Connect the CEOL power cord to the outlet.

Insert batteries into the remote control.

2. Connecting to the Network

Select your connection method.

Wi-Fi Connection

Turn on the power. [power-symbol]
Select language. (Please wait a few minutes for network setup to begin.)

For iOS Devices (Version 7 or later):
Confirm your iOS device is connected to Wi-Fi. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and select "Denon CEOL" displayed at the bottom of the screen.

For WPS-incompatible routers:
Select "Search for Wi-Fi network" and wait for network names to appear.

For WPS-compatible routers:
Select "WPS Router".

Wired LAN Connection

Connect the router and the unit with a LAN cable. (LAN cable is not included.)

Turn on the power.
Select language.
Wait for the unit to connect to the network.
For Wi-Fi Setup (after selecting network):
Tap "Next". Follow any on-screen instructions.

Wait a few minutes for the connection to complete. (The connection status will be displayed on the unit's screen.)

For Wi-Fi Setup (after selecting network):
Select the network name. (If the network name does not appear, select "Rescan".)

For Wi-Fi Setup:
Enter the network password using the numeric keys on the remote control.

For WPS Setup:
Press the WPS button on the router, then press the ENTER button on the unit within 2 minutes.

Wait a few minutes for the connection to complete. (The connection status will be displayed on the unit's screen.)

Wi-Fi Connection Complete! Press ENTER button.

Note: If the Wi-Fi reception is poor, rotate the external Bluetooth/Wi-Fi antenna on the back of the unit to the position with the best reception, or move the router closer to the unit.

Automatic Update Settings

When the unit is in standby mode, select ON/OFF for automatic update settings to automatically update to the latest firmware.
Select "ON": The unit will update automatically.

Select "OFF": The unit will not update automatically.

Usage Data Transmission Settings

For future product improvements, Denon requests your cooperation in transmitting information about the unit's settings and usage. The transmitted information will be used for future product development and will not be shared with third parties. Personal information is not included.

Set the standard time according to your region.
[Screen display: Time Zone Selection, with "Japan Standard Time (+9 hours)" selected. Options: ENTER: Decide, BACK: Return]

Usage Data Transmission:

Select "Yes": The unit will provide usage information.

Select "No": The unit will not provide usage information.
[Screen display: Send Usage Information, with "No" selected.]

Setup Complete!

3. Enjoying Music

Enjoy Internet Radio

Press the "INTERNET RADIO" button on the remote control.

Select the station you want to play and press ENTER.

Select "Play Immediately" and press ENTER.

Enjoy Music with Apple AirPlay

Launch an AirPlay-compatible app on your iOS device and tap the AirPlay icon within the app.

When the list of AirPlay devices appears, select "Denon CEOL".

Note: Please ensure your iOS device is connected to the same network as CEOL. The screen display may vary depending on the OS and software version.

Enjoy Music with Bluetooth

Press the Bluetooth button on the remote control or the [Bluetooth] button on the unit to switch the input source to "Bluetooth". If using for the first time, it will automatically enter pairing mode, and "Bluetooth Pairing Mode" will be displayed on the unit's screen.

Turn on the Bluetooth function on your Bluetooth device.

Select "Denon CEOL" from the list of Bluetooth devices.

Play music using your preferred app on the Bluetooth device.

Note: To reconnect the Bluetooth device, follow Step 2 onwards. To pair with other Bluetooth devices, press and hold the Bluetooth button on the remote control until "Bluetooth Pairing Mode" is displayed on the unit's screen.

Enjoy TV Audio with the Unit

Connect the "OPTICAL IN 1" terminal on your TV and the unit using an optical digital cable.

Turn on the TV. The unit will automatically turn on and switch the input source to "Optical In 1".
[Note: If 'Auto Play' is set to 'Off' in the menu, the auto-play function will not work.]

Download the HEOS App

The HEOS app allows you to perform basic operations of the unit from anywhere in your home. You can also search, browse, and play songs from your music library and numerous online music services.

Troubleshooting: No Sound

Check the connections of all devices.
Ensure the core of the cable is in contact with the metal part of the speaker terminal.
Check if the digital audio output of your TV is set correctly.
The unit's OPTICAL input only supports 2-channel linear PCM signals.
