Information on NanoFrost Technology
NanoFrost technology offers more efficient cooling, less manual defrosting, and more flexible storage thanks to the wrap-around evaporator.
Thermostat setting
The thermostat automatically regulates the temperature. Rotate the knob from 1 to 5 (5 being the coldest) to change the temperature.
Diagrams showing thermostat and lamp cover positions.
- For short-term food storage in the freezer, set the knob between 1 and 3.
- For long-term food storage, set the knob between 3-4.
If Super Switch is available
Super freezing: Turn on 24 hours before adding fresh food for maximum freezing capacity. After adding food, 24 hours in the ON position is generally sufficient. Turn off after 24 hours to save energy.
Winter Switch: If ambient temperature is below 16°C, use this switch to keep the fridge above 0°C and the freezer below -18°C.
Warnings for temperature settings
- Ambient temperature, food temperature, and door opening frequency affect compartment temperature. Adjust setting if needed.
- Do not operate in environments colder than 10°C.
- Set the thermostat considering door openings, food quantity, and environment.
- When first using, leave the fridge running for 24 hours uninterrupted to cool completely. Do not open doors or add food during this period.
- The fridge has a 5-minute delay function to prevent compressor damage. It will operate normally after 5 minutes when power is applied.
- The appliance is designed for ambient temperatures within the 10°C - 38°C range.

CHAPTER -3: USING YOUR FRIDGE FREEZER
Temperature indicator
The temperature indicator helps set the refrigerator. For optimal food storage, ensure the "OK" message appears. If "OK" does not appear, the temperature is not set correctly.
The indicator may be difficult to see; ensure it is properly lit. Wait for temperature stabilization after changing settings before re-checking. Change settings progressively and wait at least 12 hours before re-checking.
NOTE: "OK" may not appear after repeated or prolonged door openings, or after adding fresh food. If abnormal ice crystals form on the refrigerator compartment's bottom wall (due to overloaded appliance, high room temperature, frequent door openings), set the temperature device to a lower position until compressor off periods are obtained.
Store food in the coldest area of the refrigerator
The coldest area is just above the crisper. Ensure the shelf is level with the symbol indicating the coldest area. The upper limit of the coldest area is indicated by the sticker's arrow head. Shelves should be at the same level with these zone limits.
Accessories
Ice tray
- Fill the ice tray with water and place in the freezer compartment.
- Twist the tray to get ice cubes after the water has frozen.
Adapti-Lift Door Shelf (In some models)
Allows six different height adjustments. To change position: Hold the bottom of the shelf, pull the side buttons, move the shelf to the desired height, and release the buttons. Ensure the shelf is fixed.

Visual and text descriptions for accessories may vary by model.
CHAPTER -3: USING YOUR FRIDGE FREEZER
Cleaning
- Before cleaning, turn off the mains supply and remove the plug.
- Do not wash by pouring water directly onto the appliance.
- Use a warm, soapy cloth or sponge for interior and exterior cleaning.
- Remove shelves and drawers carefully and clean with soapy water. Do not wash in a washing machine or dishwasher.
- Do not use solvents, abrasive cleaners, glass cleaners, or all-purpose cleaning agents, as they can damage plastic surfaces and components.
- Clean the condenser at the back of the fridge freezer at least once a year with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner.
- Ensure the fridge is unplugged while cleaning.
Defrosting
Refrigerator compartment:
- Defrosting occurs automatically. Water is collected by the evaporating tray and evaporates.
- Periodically clean the evaporating tray and defrost water drain hole to prevent water collection at the bottom.
Freezer compartment:
- Periodically remove frost from freezer compartment shelves.
- Do not use sharp metal objects; they could puncture the refrigerator circuit. Use the plastic scraper provided.
- Defrost when frost exceeds 5 mm.
- Before defrosting, place frozen food in a cool place, wrapped in newspaper to maintain temperature.
- To accelerate defrosting, place basins of warm water in the freezer compartment.
- Dry the inside with a sponge or clean cloth.
- After defrosting, place food back in the freezer and consume within a short period.
CHAPTER -3: USING YOUR FRIDGE FREEZER
Replacing LED Lighting
If your fridge freezer has LED lighting, contact Sharp help desk as this should be changed by authorized personnel only.
CHAPTER -4: FOOD STORAGE GUIDANCE
The Fridge Compartment:
- To reduce frost build-up, never place liquids in unsealed containers.
- Allow warm or hot food to cool before storing to reduce power consumption.
- Ensure nothing touches the back wall to avoid frost build-up.
- The coldest area is the bottom. Use this area for perishable foods like fish, ready meals, baked goods, or dairy products. The warmest area is the top shelf of the door, suitable for butter or cheese.
- For normal operation, set the refrigerator temperature to +4°C. The ideal fridge compartment temperature is 0-8°C. Temperatures below 0°C can ice food, and temperatures above 8°C can increase bacterial load and cause spoilage.
- Do not put hot food in the refrigerator immediately; wait for it to cool down first to prevent food poisoning and spoilage.
- Store meat and fish in the chiller compartment. The vegetable compartment is for vegetables.
- Do not store meat products and fruit/vegetables together to prevent cross-contamination.
- Store food in closed containers or covered to prevent moisture and odours.
CHAPTER -4: FOOD STORAGE GUIDANCE
Food Storage Guide (Refrigerator Compartment)
Food | Storage Duration | Location |
---|---|---|
Fruits and Vegetables | 1 week | Loose in Vegetable Holder |

Freezer compartment
- Use the freezer to store frozen foods for long periods and make ice cubes.
- To freeze fresh food, ensure maximum surface contact with the cooling surface.
- Do not place fresh food on either side of frozen food, as it can thaw the frozen food.
- When freezing fresh foods (meat, fish, mincemeat), divide into portion sizes.
- Never place warm food in the freezer.
- Follow instructions on frozen food packages. If no information is provided, do not store for more than 3 months.
- When buying frozen foods, ensure they were frozen at suitable temperatures and the packaging is intact.
- Transport frozen foods in appropriate containers and store in the freezer as soon as possible.
- If a frozen food package shows signs of humidity and swelling, it was stored at an unsuitable temperature and has deteriorated.
- Storage life depends on room temperature, thermostat setting, door opening frequency, food type, and transport time. Always follow package instructions and do not exceed maximum storage life.
- If you open the freezer door again immediately after closing, it may be difficult to re-open. This is normal and will resolve once the freezer reaches equilibrium.
Important note:
- Frozen foods, when thawed, should be cooked like fresh foods. If not cooked after thawing, they must NEVER be re-frozen.
- The taste of some spices can change and become strong when stored for long periods. Add only a small amount of spice if planning to freeze, or add after thawing.
- Storage period depends on the oil used. Suitable oils: margarine, calf fat, olive oil, butter. Unsuitable oils: peanut oil, pig fat.
- Store liquid food in plastic cups and other food in plastic folios or bags.
