Chapter 1: Safety Instructions
General Safety Warnings
- Keep ventilation openings clear.
- Do not use mechanical devices to accelerate defrosting.
- Do not use other electrical appliances inside the fridge.
- Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
- Ensure the supply cord is not trapped or damaged during positioning.
- Do not use multiple portable socket-outlets or power supplies at the rear.
- Install according to manufacturer instructions to avoid injury or damage.
Refrigerant Information
The refrigerant used is eco-friendly R600a (isobutene), which is flammable and explosive if ignited in enclosed conditions.
Usage Restrictions
- Intended for domestic use only.
- Requires 220-240V, 50Hz mains supply. Verify compatibility with the data plate.
- Children aged 8 and above, and persons with reduced capabilities, can use the appliance with supervision.
- Children shall not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and maintenance by children require supervision.
Food Contamination Prevention
- Avoid opening doors for long periods to maintain temperature.
- Regularly clean surfaces in contact with food and drainage systems.
- Store raw meat and fish in suitable containers to prevent drips.
- If left empty for long periods, switch off, defrost, clean, dry, and leave the door open.
Installation and Placement
- Check for visible damage before installation.
- Keep upright for at least 3 hours before plugging in for the first time.
- An initial odour is normal and will fade.
- Ensure mains supply matches appliance data plate. Consult an electrician if unsure.
- Use a properly grounded socket.
- Place in a cool, well-ventilated room, away from direct sunlight and heat sources (stoves, ovens). Maintain minimum clearances (50cm from heat sources, 5cm from electrical ovens, 2cm from deep freezers).
- Do not cover the appliance body or top.
- Ensure at least 150mm clearance at the top.
- Do not place heavy items on the appliance.
- Clean thoroughly before use.
- The installation procedure for kitchen units is in a separate manual.
Electrical Information (UK Plug)
This appliance must be earthed. The mains lead has a specially earthed plug. Use a 13A fuse (BS1362 approved). Use a 13-ampere earthed socket. If unsure, consult an electrician.
During Usage
- Do not use extension leads.
- Do not use damaged plugs or cords.
- Do not pull, bend, or damage the cord.
- Do not use plug adapters.
- Do not allow children to play with or hang off the door.
- Never touch the power cord/plug with wet hands.
- Do not place glass bottles or cans in the ice-making compartment (they may burst).
- Do not place explosive or flammable materials inside.
- Handle ice carefully to avoid frost burns or cuts.
- Do not touch frozen goods with wet hands.
- Do not eat ice-cream or ice cubes immediately after removal.
- Never refreeze thawed frozen food.
Old and Out-of-Order Fridges
Break or remove locks on old appliances before discarding. Old units may contain CFCs; dispose of them responsibly.
Disposal of Your Old Appliance
This product must not be treated as household waste. Hand it over to an applicable collection point for electrical and electronic equipment recycling. Contact your local office or retailer for more information.

Frost Free Technology
No-frost refrigerators use a built-in fan to circulate dry, cold air evenly, preventing frost build-up and ensuring uniform cooling.
Chapter 2: Description of the Appliance

The appliance consists of a Refrigerator compartment (A) and a Freezer compartment (B). Key components include:

General Notes on Energy Efficiency
For the Fresh Food Compartment (Fridge), energy efficiency is best with drawers at the bottom and shelves evenly distributed. For the Freezer Compartment, energy efficiency is best with drawers and bins positioned as supplied.
Chapter 3: Using the Appliance
Thermostat Setting
The thermostat regulates temperature from 1 (warmer) to 5 (colder). Use settings up to 3 for short-term storage, 3 or 4 for long-term storage, and 5 for freezing fresh food.
Note: Ambient temperature, food temperature, and door opening frequency affect the internal temperature.
Temperature Settings Warnings
- Operate within specified ambient temperature ranges (Climate Classes: T, ST, N, SN). Operating outside these ranges reduces cooling efficiency.
- Allow 24 hours for the appliance to reach operating temperature when first switched on; avoid opening the door or loading food.
- Unplug during power cuts. Wait 5-10 minutes after power restoration before plugging back in.
Turbo Fan (if available)
Do not block air inlet and outlet openings to ensure proper air circulation.
Accessories
Ice Tray
Fill with water and place in the freezer compartment. Twist to release ice cubes.
Bottle Holder (In some models)
Use to prevent bottles from slipping or falling.
Adapti-Lift Door Shelf (In some models)
Allows six different height adjustments. To adjust, hold the shelf bottom, pull the side buttons, move to the desired height, and ensure it is fixed before releasing. Support the shelf bottom when moving it, especially if loaded.
Fresh Dial (In some models)
Located in front of the crisper, this dial controls air and humidity for longer food life. Open if the crisper is full or if condensation appears on glass shelves.
Chapter 4: Food Storage
Refrigerator Compartment
- Store liquids in sealed containers to reduce humidity and frost.
- Never place warm food inside; allow it to cool first.
- Ensure items do not touch the rear wall to prevent frost build-up.
- Store loosely wrapped meat and fish on the shelf above the vegetable bin.
- Store fruit and vegetables in the crisper containers.
- Store fruits and vegetables separately to prevent ethylene-sensitive items from being affected.
- Do not put wet vegetables in the refrigerator.
- Consume packaged foods before expiry dates.
- Recommended fridge temperature: 0-8 °C.
- Do not put hot food directly into the refrigerator.
- Potatoes, onions, and garlic should not be stored in the refrigerator.

Freezer Compartment
- Used for storing frozen food, freezing fresh food, and making ice cubes.
- For freezing fresh food, wrap and seal it tightly (airtight).
- Do not store fresh food next to frozen food.
- Divide fresh food into portions before freezing.
- Consume thawed frozen food promptly.
- Never place warm food in the freezer.
- Follow food packaging instructions for frozen food storage; generally, do not store for more than 3 months if no specific guidance is given.
- Ensure purchased frozen food has been stored correctly and packaging is undamaged.
- Transport frozen food in appropriate containers and place in the freezer quickly.
- Avoid frozen food with signs of humidity or abnormal swelling.
- Storage life depends on room temperature, thermostat setting, door opening frequency, and transport time.
- Maximum fresh food freezing capacity per 24 hours is indicated on the appliance label.
- Use glass shelves for upper/middle sections and the lower basket for the bottom section for maximum capacity.
- Use the fast freezing shelf (bottom drawer) for quick freezing.
Important Freezer Notes
- Never refreeze thawed frozen food.
- Spices in cooked dishes may change taste over time; add them after thawing or use small amounts.
- Suitable oils for freezing: margarine, calf fat, olive oil, butter. Unsuitable: peanut oil, pig fat.
- Liquid food should be frozen in plastic cups; other food in plastic folios or bags.

Chapter 5: Cleaning and Maintenance
- Disconnect power before cleaning.
- Do not pour water directly on the appliance.
- Use mild detergents; rinse and dry carefully.
- Ensure water does not enter lamp housing or electrical components.
- Clean regularly with a solution of bicarbonate of soda and lukewarm water.
- Clean accessories separately by hand; do not use a dishwasher.
- Clean the condenser brush at least twice a year.
Defrosting
The appliance performs automatic defrosting. Water collects in a vaporisation container behind the unit and evaporates. Disconnect power before cleaning this container.
Replacing LED Lighting
Contact Sharp help desk; this should be done by authorized personnel only.
Chapter 6: Shipment and Repositioning
- Keep original packaging for re-transportation if needed.
- Fasten appliance securely during transport.
- Remove or fix all movable parts (shelves, bins) to prevent damage.
- Always carry the appliance in an upright position.
Chapter 7: Before Calling After-Sales Service
Troubleshooting
Your refrigerator does not operate
- Check if plugged in and switched on.
- Check the fuse.
- Check thermostat setting (should not be on '1').
- Test the socket with another appliance.
Your refrigerator is performing poorly
- Check if overloaded.
- Ensure doors are closed properly.
- Check for dust on the condenser.
- Ensure adequate distance from surrounding walls.
Your refrigerator is operating noisily
- Cracking noise: During defrosting or temperature changes.
- Clicking noise: Thermostat switching compressor on/off.
- Motor noise: Compressor operating normally.
- Bubbling/splashing noise: Refrigerant flow.
- Water flowing noise: Water to evaporation container (normal during defrosting).
- Air blowing noise: Air circulation.
Build-up of humidity inside the fridge
- Ensure all food is properly packed and containers are dry.
- Frequent door opening increases humidity.
- Water droplets on the rear wall are normal after automatic defrosting (in Static Models).
The doors are not opening or closing properly
- Check for obstructions (food, packaging).
- Ensure compartments, shelves, and drawers are placed correctly.
- Check door gaskets for damage.
- Ensure the fridge is level.
The edges of the fridge in contact with the door joint are warm
This is normal, especially during warm weather.
Important Notes
- After power failure or reconnection, allow 5 minutes for the system to stabilize.
- For long periods of non-use, disconnect, defrost, clean, and leave the door open.
- If problems persist, consult an Authorised Service Centre.

Chapter 8: Tips for Saving Energy
- Install in a cool, well-ventilated room, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Allow warm food and drinks to cool before storing.
- Place thawing food in the refrigerator compartment to help cool it.
- Cover liquids and drinks to reduce humidity.
- Avoid long or frequent door openings.
- Keep compartment covers (crisper, chiller) closed.
- Ensure door gaskets are clean and pliable.
Chapter 9: Information for Test Institutes
Appliances for EcoDesign verification should comply with EN 62552. Refer to Chapter 2 for ventilation and dimension requirements.
