Installation Safety

Mounting the TV on a Wall

If mounting the TV on a wall, follow the manufacturer's instructions precisely. Incorrect mounting can cause the TV to slide or fall, leading to serious injury or damage.

Providing Proper Ventilation for Your TV

When installing the TV and One Connect Box (if applicable), maintain at least 4 inches (10 cm) distance from walls, cabinet sides, and other objects to ensure proper ventilation. Failure to do so may result in fire or product problems due to increased internal temperature.

When installing with a stand or wall mount, use only parts provided by Samsung Electronics. Using parts from other manufacturers may cause difficulties or injury.

General Safety Precautions

Caution: Pulling, pushing, or climbing on the TV may cause it to fall, leading to serious injury or death. Do not hang on or destabilize the TV.

Follow all safety precautions in the Safety Flyer included with your TV. For added stability, consider purchasing and installing an anti-tip device (refer to "Preventing the TV from falling").

WARNING: Never place a television set in an unstable location. It may fall, causing serious personal injury or death.

To avoid injuries:

If relocating an existing TV, apply the same considerations.

Preventing the TV from Falling (Anti-tip Device)

[Wall-anchor not supplied]

  1. Firmly fasten brackets to the wall using appropriate screws. Ensure screws are securely attached. Additional materials like wall anchors may be needed depending on the wall type.
  2. Firmly fasten brackets to the TV using appropriately sized screws (refer to the Unpacking and Installation Guide for specifications).
  3. Connect the TV brackets and wall brackets with a durable, heavy-duty string and tie it tightly.
  4. Install the TV near the wall to prevent it from falling backward.
  5. Ensure wall brackets are at the same height as or lower than the TV brackets when connecting the string.

Precautions When Installing the TV with a Stand (The Frame only)

When using a stand, avoid placing it on the back part of the table surface. Failure to do so may prevent the motion sensor at the bottom of the TV from working properly.

Operation

Caring for the TV

Internet Security

Samsung implements security measures for Internet-compatible Smart TVs against unauthorized access and hacking, including encrypted communications and controls against unauthorized applications.

While Samsung takes steps to protect your Smart TV and personal information, no Internet-connected device is completely secure. Take additional steps to safeguard your TV and network:

Connecting the TV to the One Connect Box (Supported Models Only)

Refer to the Unpacking and Installation Guide for detailed connection instructions.

Using the One Connect Cable Holder (S95F, The Frame (LS03FA) only): This holder helps tidy cables during wall mount installation.

02 Initial Setup

When you turn on your TV for the first time, it starts the Initial Setup. Follow the on-screen instructions to configure basic settings for your viewing environment.

Using the TV Controller

Turn on the TV using the TV Controller button at the bottom of the TV to access the Control menu. The menu appears when the button is pressed while the TV is on.

TV Controller Components:

How to Turn On and Off the Microphone

The microphone can be turned on or off using a switch located at the bottom or rear bottom of the TV. If the microphone is off, all voice and sound features using it will be unavailable.

This function is supported on specific models (e.g., Q8F (except 32Q8F), QN7*F, QN1EF, QN8*F, QN9*F, QN9**F, S8*F, S9*F, The Frame). Microphone switch position and shape may differ by model.

Data from the microphone is not saved during analysis.

03 Troubleshooting and Maintenance

Troubleshooting

For more detailed troubleshooting, refer to the "Troubleshooting" section in the User Guide (accessible via the TV menu: Settings > Support > Open User guide > Troubleshooting, or Settings > Support > Tips and User Guides > Open User guide > Troubleshooting for other models).

If troubleshooting tips do not resolve the issue, visit www.samsung.com (Support) or contact a Samsung service center.

The TV won't turn on.

The remote control does not work.

Eco Sensor and Screen Brightness (Except H5***F, F6***F)

The Eco Sensor automatically adjusts TV brightness based on room lighting to reduce power consumption. To disable this feature, navigate to Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving > Brightness Optimization.

The eco sensor is located at the bottom of the TV. Do not block it with objects, as this can decrease picture brightness.
