Possible Concern
F3E1 error code (pressure sensor failure); drain pump continuously running.
Potential Causes
- The water valve is leaking into the tub.
- Kinked or clogged pressure hose.
- Pressure hose off the pressure sensor.
- Debris in the pressure port.
- Failed Pressure Sensor.
Correction
F3E1 Fault is displayed when the Main Control detects an out-of-range pressure signal.
- Check the inlet valve for leaks.
- Check the pressure hose connection from the tub to the main control. Is the hose disconnected, pinched, kinked, plugged, or leaking air? Disconnect the hose from the main control and blow into it to clear water, suds, or debris.
- If the preceding steps did not correct the problem, replace the main control and calibrate the washer. Perform Automatic Test to verify repair. See the model's technical manual for more details.
Note: Whirlpool will pay for repair parts and labor to perform the listed repairs on specified models within the qualifying serial range. Charge the repair parts and labor related to this repair to Special Project S153EB.
