AVerMedia EzRecorder 330 User Manual

Introduction

The EzRecorder 330 (ER330) is a stand-alone, live stream capable capture box. It allows users to record video content or broadcast gameplay without the need for a computer.

Installation

  1. Connect A Video Source to ER330Diagram shows connecting a video source (e.g., game console) to the ER330 via HDMI or Composite inputs.
  2. Connect ER330 to Your TVDiagram shows connecting the ER330 to a television using an HDMI cable.
  3. Connect the IR Blaster Cable to A Set-top Box's IR Sensor (Optional)Diagram illustrates connecting the IR Blaster cable to the IR sensor port of a set-top box.
  4. Connect the Power AdapterDiagram shows the power adapter being plugged into the ER330's DC IN port and then into a wall electrical outlet.

5. Power on ER330Diagram shows the EzRecorder 330 device with its power button.

6. Check the Video on the TVTurn on your TV and ensure the content is displayed correctly.

Note: EzRecorder 330 does not support viewing/recording/streaming of HDCP-protected signals.

Basic Operations

Setup Wizard

When you power on ER330 for the first time, you will be greeted by a Setup Wizard. The following steps will guide you through the initial configuration process.

  1. Selecting Language

    When the welcome page appears, use the [Up/Down Arrow] keys to select your preferred language. Press [OK] to confirm.

  2. HDMI Pass-Through

    It is advised to turn HDMI pass-through ON.

  3. Setting Up Storage Device & Network

    You can set up a storage device and network now or later. Only supports exFAT/NTFS format. Refer to the attachment for supported storage devices and capacities.

  4. Finishing Setup Wizard

    After the setup is completed, you can press the [INFO] button to view the basic settings.

Record

Video recording is one of the most essential functions of the EzRecorder 330. It provides two simple recording methods:

  1. Press the record button on the remote control; the ER330 will start recording. Press it again to stop the recording.
  2. Press the power button of the ER330 to start recording. Press it again to stop the recording.

H.264/H.265 Encoding

The ER330 provides H.264 and H.265 storage encodings. You can change this setting in Menu > Settings > Recording / Snapshot > Encoding Format.

Snapshot

Press the Snapshot button on the remote control to take a screenshot.

View Images/Videos and Edit Videos

View Images/Videos

The recorded videos and screenshots can be viewed in Menu > Media Studio.

Edit Videos

Select a video you want in Media Studio and press [F3] to edit it.

Advanced Recording

NAS Recording

The EzRecorder 330 allows recording and storing directly to a NAS. Navigate to Menu > Settings > NAS Recording > Storage Location, then add your Location, Account, and Password, and enable NAS Recording.

Note: A network connection is required for NAS Recording. The recommended speed is 10 Mbps.

Schedule Recording

The EzRecorder 330 allows you to set a specific time to start recording. It will automatically turn on your set-top box at the scheduled time and stop recording when the time is up. Go to Menu > Schedule List > [F1] to enter the start and end times for recording.

Note: Before using this function, ensure the IR Blaster is installed and set up properly. The maximum recording length is 14 hours.

Timer Recording

The EzRecorder 330 also provides a Timer Recording function. This allows you to quickly record an ongoing TV program using its built-in timer, automatically stopping the recording when the timer is stopped.

Press the [T.REC] button on the remote. Use the [Left/Right Arrow] buttons to select between the hour and minute fields, and the [Up/Down Arrow] buttons to select their recording lengths. Then, press [OK] to start recording. The ER330 will record the video and stop at the set time.

Instant Highlight

The Instant Highlight function is used when no recording is in progress, and you want to record something that just happened. Before using this function, you need to enable Instant Highlight Mode in Menu > Settings > Instant Highlight.

You can set the recording length as needed. After enabling the function, the LED indicator will turn green, indicating that Instant Highlight is active. When you want to record, press the Record button on the remote, and the ER330 will save the video retroactively.

Streaming

The EzRecorder 330 has a built-in live-streaming function that can broadcast directly to Twitch, Facebook, and YouTube. As long as your ER330 is connected to the Internet, you can livestream without a computer.

Binding Account

To bind an account, go to Menu > Settings > Streaming. Select a streaming platform (currently supports YouTube, Facebook, Twitch) you wish to stream on. Press [F1] to log in, and a QR CODE will appear on the screen.

Scan the QR CODE with your smart device. Tap the provided link to go to the webpage and enter your platform account information. The webpage will then provide a 4-digit code.

After entering the code in your ER330, the account will be successfully bound.

Live Streaming

After binding a streaming platform, simply press the Stream button on the remote whenever you want to live stream.
