Desk Phone Features
Yealink T57W Desk Phone Overview
The Yealink T57W desk phone is depicted with various keys and features labeled. On the right side of the phone, labels point to the Transfer key, Hold key, Voicemail key, Volume keys, Headset key, Mute/Unmute key, Redial key, and Speakerphone key. The phone itself has a screen, a physical keypad with numbers and symbols, and a handset.
- Transfer key: Used to transfer active calls.
- Hold key: Used to place calls on hold or resume them.
- Voicemail key: Provides access to voicemail messages.
- Volume keys: Adjust audio volume for handset, headset, and speaker.
- Headset key: Enables calls via a connected headset.
- Mute/Unmute key: Mutes or unmutes audio during calls.
- Redial key: Redials the last called number or extension.
- Speakerphone key: Activates the speakerphone for hands-free calls.
Feature Description
- Transfer key: Transfers an active call to a contact.
- Hold key: Holds an active call or resumes a held call.
- Voicemail key: Enables access to voicemail messages.
- Volume keys: Adjusts the volume of the handset, headset, and speaker.
- Headset key: Enables placing and receiving calls through a headset.
- Mute/Unmute key: Mutes audio during calls and conferences.
- Redial key: Enables dialing the last called number or extension.
- Speakerphone key: Enables placing and receiving calls using the speakerphone.
Placing a Call
To place a call, dial the number and then:
- Lift the receiver [receiver].
- Press the headset key [headset] to use the headset.
- Press the speakerphone key [speakerphone] to use the speakerphone.
Answering a Call
To answer an incoming call, choose one of the following options:
- Lift the receiver [receiver].
- Press the headset key [headset] to answer via headset.
- Press the speakerphone key [speakerphone] to answer via speakerphone.
Placing a Call on Hold
While on an active call, press the Hold key or the #SEND key.
Retrieving a Held Call
Press the Hold key or the #SEND key to retrieve a held call.
Starting a Conference Call
- While on an active call, tap the Conference soft key.
- Dial the extension of the other party you wish to add.
- Once the other party answers, press the Conference soft key again to merge the calls.
Transferring a Call
Warm Transfer:
- While on an active call, press or tap the Transfer soft key.
- Dial the number of the other party.
- When the destination party answers, provide the information and confirm they are ready to take the call.
- Press or tap the Transfer soft key to complete the transfer.
Blind Transfer:
- While on an active call, press or tap the Transfer soft key.
- Press the Blind soft key.
- Dial the extension of the other party.
- Press or tap the Transfer soft key to complete the transfer.
Voicemail Transfer:
- Press or tap the Transfer soft key.
- Press the Blind soft key.
- Dial * 0 plus the extension number of the voicemail where you want to transfer the call.
Parking a Call
Option 1:
- While on an active call, tap the More soft key until the Park soft key is displayed.
- Tap the Park soft key.
- Listen for the prompt indicating the call has been parked and the extension where it is located.
- Note the park location (e.g., *802).
Option 2:
- While on an active call, press the * key, then the 3 key.
- Listen for the prompt indicating the call has been parked and the extension where it is located.
- Note the park location (e.g., *802).
Retrieving a Parked Call
Press the * key, followed by the park location number.
Paging
Press the * key, then the 8 key, then the 4 key, and follow the prompt.
Initiating an Intercom Call
Press the * key, then the 8 key, then the 5 key, and follow the prompt.
Hot Desking
- Press the Login soft key and follow the prompt.
- Enter your extension number, then press the #SEND key.
- Enter your voicemail PIN, then press the #SEND key.
Recording a Call
- While on an active call, press the * key, then the 9 key to start the recording.
- Press the * key, then the 9 key to end the recording.
