Hardware Explanations
LED Indicators: WPS LED, 6GHz/5GHz/2.4GHz WiFi LEDs, 10GE LAN LED, 10/1GE WAN (Internet) LED, 1GE LAN LED, Power LED.
Buttons: WPS button, LED button, Power switch.
Ports: USB 3.0 port, USB 2.0 port, 1GE WAN/LAN1 port, 10GE WAN/LAN1 port, LAN2-4 ports, 10GE LAN port, Power (DCIN) port, Reset button.
Note on 6GHz Band: If no 6GHz SSID is displayed, ensure your OS and client device support the 6GHz band. Check with your OS and client device provider for Wi-Fi 6E driver release schedules.

Router Setup Steps
01 Prepare your Modem
- Unplug the power of your cable/DSL modem.
- Connect your modem to the WAN port at the back of the router using the provided network cable.
- Power on the modem by plugging it into the power outlet.
- Check the modem LED lights to ensure the connection is active.
- If using DSL, you will need your username/password from your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to configure the router.
02 Install your Router
- Plug the adapter into the DCIN port and press the Power switch.
- The Power LED will light up when the hardware is ready.
Setup via App:
- Download the ASUS Router app from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store.
- Connect your mobile device to the router's default network SSID (found on the product label) or scan the QR code on the label.
- Launch the ASUS Router App and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
Setup via Web Browser:
- Wired Connection: Connect your PC to a LAN port (LAN2-4) at the back of the router using a network cable.
- Wireless Connection: Connect to the network with the default SSID shown on the product label (e.g., "ASUS XX", where XX are the last two digits of the 2.4GHz MAC address).
- Open a web browser and navigate to http://www.asusrouter.com.
- Follow the instructions in the ASUS Setup Wizard to complete the setup.
02 Start to Use
After setup, the router will reboot and connect to the Internet using the 1GE port.
Gain Another 10GE LAN Port
To set up a 1GE WAN connection and release another 10GE LAN Port:
- Under factory defaults, connect the modem to the 1GE WAN port with a network cable.
- Login and Connect: Select "Manual Setting" in the ASUS Setup Wizard.
- Select "1G WAN" and follow the instructions to complete the setup of SSID and login information.
