1. Product Overview

The following sports camera is not included in the package.

2. Quick Start Guide

2.1 Install Battery

Please fully charge the battery before powering on the gimbal for the first time.

Remove the bottom cap, insert a 26650 battery, and then tighten the cap.

2.2 Put the camera on

Please mount the camera before powering on the gimbal. When not in use, turn off the gimbal and then remove the camera.

Example using a GoPro HERO 5 camera:

Put the camera on the mounting plate, then tighten the camera with the retainer bar and screw.

Mounting Options:

• Option 1: 1-Normal Position: [Diagram: Shows a camera mounted in a standard orientation on the gimbal plate.]

It is suggested to turn on the camera before installation for normal position.

2.3 Put the RX0 camera on

To work with an RX0 camera, please change the RX0 camera adapter kit. (RX0 camera adapter kit is optional.)

Replacement steps:

1. Loose and take down the original fixed plate of the gimbal.
2. Install RX0 adapter plate and tighten the screw ① ②. [Diagram: Shows the RX0 adapter plate being attached with screws labeled ① and ②.]
3. Insert the set screw ③ of the camera from the bottom of the RX0 adapter plate.
4. Place the camera and tighten the set screw.

3. Balance the Gimbal (Before power on)

If the camera tilts to the left: Loosen the knob ring, pull the cross arm out to the right until the camera is horizontal.

If the camera tilts to the right: Loosen the knob ring, push the cross arm in to the left until the camera is horizontal.

4. Power on / off

To power on or off: Long press the function button. The display will show the [FeiyuTech Logo] and release it when you hear the beep tone.

3. Charging

3.1 Charging for Gimbal

Option 1: Charging with Micro USB cable.

Connect the gimbal to a power source using the Micro USB cable via the USB Port. The display shows charging icons.

Option 2: Remove the battery and charge the battery with charger (equipped by user).

3.2 Charging for Camera

Connect the camera to the gimbal via the Type C charging cable. The camera can be charged when the gimbal is powered on.

4. Functions

Instructions of Button

Note: Firmware upgrades may alter manual operation functions, and actual product features might not match descriptions. Please find the latest manual on the official website.

Display Description & Modes

The current mode or status of the gimbal can be identified by the display.

Display Icons

Please refer to the chapter "Connecting to camera" on page 10.

Setting Button Operation

Single tap on the setting button to switch the camera modes.

Shutter Button Operation

After connecting the gimbal to the Feiyu ON App, a single tap of the shutter button can control the camera for shooting.

Setting Parameters

Note: The parameters interface may differ when connecting to an RX0 camera.

Using the joystick to set up parameters:

Modes

• Panning Mode (Default mode): The roll and tilt directions are fixed, and the camera moves according to the left-right movements of the user's hand.
• Lock Mode: The orientation of the camera is fixed.
• Follow Mode: The roll direction is fixed, and the camera moves according to the left-right movements and up-down movements of the user's hand.
• Reset: Return to panning mode; all three axes return to their default position.

Advanced Controls

Horizontal Angle Control

You can control the horizon angle via the horizontal adjustment button while in panning mode, follow mode, or lock mode.

Manual Lock

The camera can be manually positioned while in panning mode, follow mode, or lock mode. Both the pan axis and tilt axis can be manually set up.

Manually move the camera to the desired position and hold for half a second. New tilt and/or pan positions are automatically saved.

Auto-rotation Mode

The G6 gimbal can easily create constant speed movements in the auto-rotation mode. This mode can be used for recording both regular video and motion timelapse photography. For better performance, attach the gimbal to the Feiyu Tech tripod, or another tripod, to keep it completely still.

(1) Set rotation speed in Feiyu ON App

Connect to the Feiyu ON App and select the desired speed from the auto-rotation mode rate option in the settings menu.

Note: Both the pan and tilt directions can be rotated.

Auto-rotation Mode Operation

(2) Enter auto-rotation mode

Enter auto-rotation mode by quadruple tapping the function button.

(3) Set rotation start position

Record the first position (rotation start position) by manually moving the camera to the desired position. Hold in position for half a second. Single tap the function button to record the rotation start position.

(4) Set rotation end position

Record the second position (rotation end position) by manually moving the camera to the desired position. Hold in position for half a second. Single tap the function button to record the rotation end position.

(5) Start auto rotation movements

The gimbal automatically restores to the start position, while the tilt axis and pan axis start rotating at a constant speed according to the pre-set speed to the end position. It will enter the follow mode at the end position.

Exit:

1. After finishing the auto rotation, the gimbal will automatically exit the auto-rotation mode and enter follow mode.
2. In the process of auto-rotation mode or auto-rotation setting, double tap the trigger button to exit the auto-rotation mode and reset.

5. Download and connect App

5.1 Download and install "Feiyu ON" App

(1) iOS version:

Download from the App Store.

Download from Google Play or other Android app stores (e.g., 360 Mobile Assistant, Wandoujia).

Scan QR codes to automatically link to the App download page.

5.2 Connecting App

Turn on the Bluetooth and run the App on your smartphone. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the smartphone to the gimbal via Bluetooth.

6. Connecting to Camera

The G6 gimbal can connect to the camera using the Feiyu ON App.

Operations available after connecting to the camera:

Steps of connecting to camera:

1. Turn on your sports camera's WiFi.
2. Successively select "Settings" → "Parameters Settings" → "WiFi Settings" on the Feiyu ON App.
3. Select your camera model.
4. Select your camera connection name and enter the correct connection password of your camera.
5. Wait for connecting.
6. Connect successfully.

If the [camera connection failed icon] appears on the display screen, it means the gimbal failed to connect to the camera. Try to restart the gimbal or camera, or reconnect according to the above steps.

7. Firmware Upgrade

Connect the gimbal to the Feiyu ON App to upgrade the firmware through the App.

8. Gimbal Initialization

You can initialize your gimbal when:

• The camera is not level.
• It has not been used for a long period of time.
• In case of extreme temperature variations.

Adjusting Steps:

1. Step 1: Tap the function button for 5 consecutive times. Hear the "beep" sound, and the motor will stop working and "Initing" will show up on the display. [Diagram: Shows the gimbal display showing "Initing" and the Function Button.]
2. Step 2: Place the gimbal on a table unmoved. The gimbal will automatically detect whether it is placed on a static flat surface, and then its initializing will start automatically, showing "Initing" on the display. 3. Step 3: After the initialization is done, single tap the function button to wake up and return to the main interface. [Diagram: Shows the gimbal display returning to the main interface after initialization.]

Note: If the initialization is not successful for a long time, long press the function button to turn off the gimbal, restart it, and then initialize again.
