The Anybus Industrial WLAN Access Points provide robust wireless LAN connectivity for industrial environments. These devices receive and transmit data across various physical levels and connection types, ensuring reliable network communication.
Hardware Description and Connectors
The product line includes two models: AWB5141, designed for indoor use with an IP30 rating, and AWB5142, built for harsher conditions with an IP67 rating.
Mounting Options
- AWB5141 (IP30): Designed for mounting on a standard DIN rail using an included DIN clip.
- AWB5142 (IP67): Suitable for pole or wall mounting.

Antenna Connectors
- AWB5141: Features two RP-SMA female connectors for WLAN antennas, labeled ANT 1 WLAN 1 and ANT 2 WLAN 2.

RJ45 Ethernet Connector
A standard RJ45 connector is provided for Ethernet connectivity, supporting 10/100 Mbit/s and 1 Gbit/s speeds. The pinout is as follows:
- Pin 1: TD+ (DA+)
- Pin 2: TD- (DA-)
- Pin 3: RD+ (DB+)

Power and PoE Connectors
- AWB5141: Equipped with power terminals (P+, P-) supporting a wide DC voltage range of 10-60 VDC, with a maximum power consumption of 11.5 W. It also supports 48 VDC Power over Ethernet (PoE) compliant with IEEE 802.3af PD, also with a maximum of 11.5 W.
- AWB5142: Features a WAN/PoE port supporting 1 Gbit/s speeds and is PoE enabled according to IEEE 802.3af P.D.

Installation Guidelines
AWB5141 IP30 Version Installation
- Mount the device on a standard DIN rail using the included DIN clip.
- Establish a direct connection between the ground screw and a grounding surface.
- Connect the antennas.
- Connect the Ethernet cable.
- Connect the power supply via Ethernet or using the included plug connector.
AWB5142 IP67 Version Installation
- Mount the device on a pole or wall.
- Connect the antennas.
- Connect the Ethernet cable.
- Connect the power supply via Ethernet.
