The Device
The animal repeller is a stake-mounted device designed to deter animals using ultrasonic sound and light.It features a solar panel on the top surface for continuous power.Key components include:
- Solar Panel: Located on the top, it collects solar energy to power the device.
- PIR Sensor: Positioned on the front, it detects motion to activate the repeller.
- Sensitivity Knob: A dial (numbered 0-6) to adjust the detection range and sensitivity of the PIR sensor.
- Mode Knob: A dial (numbered 0-6) to select different operating modes, each with specific frequencies or functions.
- Flash Light: An LED light on the front that flashes to deter animals.
- Ultrasonic Speaker: Located centrally on the front, it emits high-frequency sound waves.
- Ground Pin: Attached to the bottom, used to secure the repeller in the ground. A hanging connection is available on the back.
User Guide
Upon receiving the repeller, charge it for 4 hours to ensure proper function. The device charges via the solar panel.
- Location: Choose a suitable location to place the repellent securely, ensuring it is safe from animals.
- Mode Selection: Read through the available modes and select the desired one. Experimenting with different modes may enhance effectiveness.
- Placement Adjustment: Periodically moving the repeller can help maintain its effectiveness and prevent animals from becoming accustomed to it.
Note: Do not place the repeller or speaker close to your ear, as this may cause hearing damage. Always ensure there is at least an arm's length distance between yourself and the product when it is active.
Characteristics and Application
- Install the repellent in a location with ample sunlight. If sunlight is insufficient, charge the device using a USB cable. Do not operate the repeller while it is charging via USB.
- Keep the repellent clean to improve its performance and durability.
- Test the repeller before placing it outdoors to ensure clear operation and correct settings.
- Adjust the repeller's height appropriately to maximize detection chances.
- Do not cover the PIR sensor, as this will hinder performance and may lead to malfunction.
- Keep the repellent away from children.
- The device may emit a soft tapping sound, indicating the ultrasound is being broadcast. The ultrasonic sound itself is inaudible to humans.
- The ultrasound provides the primary scaring effect and cannot be switched off.
- The white LED light also acts as a repellent and cannot be switched off independently.
- To prevent animals from entering your garden, place the repeller at the correct height near the entrance. To keep animals out of a specific area, consider the distance.
- The blue light serves as a deterrent at night, increasing the likelihood of animals being driven away.
- The repellent has a waterproof rating of IP44. It is advisable to remove the device if hailstorms are predicted.
