This section provides details about the components of the Vulpes Goods Ultrasonic Cat Repeller.

Top view of the device:

Zonnepaneel (Solar Panel): Provides power to the repeller, reducing the need for frequent charging. Ensure the solar panel is kept clean for optimal performance.
Blauw licht (Blue Light): An optional feature for nighttime use. Toggle the blue light on/off by pressing the button once when the repeller is active.
PIR-Sensor: Detects movement and heat around the repeller, triggering its response. Keep the sensor clean for optimal results.
LED Licht (LED Light): The LED lights are designed to startle animals and cannot be switched off. This feature works in conjunction with the ultrasonic sound.
Ultrasone Speaker (Ultrasonic Speaker): Emits ultrasonic sound when the PIR sensor detects motion. A soft ticking sound indicates the ultrasonic sound is being emitted.
Standaard (Stake): Used to place the repeller in the ground. Assemble the stakes and attach them to the bottom of the unit.

Aan/uit & blauw licht (On/Off & Blue Light): Press and hold the on/off button for 2 seconds to turn the repeller on or off. Press the button again to toggle the blue light.
USB oplaadpoort (USB Charging Port): Use the included USB cable to charge the repeller for the first time. A red light on the PIR sensor indicates charging.
Alarm functie (Alarm Function): Press the "sound" button to turn the alarm function on/off. When active, the repeller emits a loud alarm sound upon detection. The PIR sensor will illuminate when the alarm function is enabled.

Instellen (Setup)

Upon receiving the repeller, you can turn it on and test its sound and light intensity. It is recommended to do this before placing it outdoors.

Turn on the repeller by pressing and holding the on/off button for two seconds.
If desired, activate the alarm function by briefly pressing the "sound" button. The PIR sensor will light up.
If desired, activate the blue light function by pressing the “on/off & blue light” button once while the repeller is on.

Note: The alarm sound is enabled by default. It is advised to disable the alarm sound when using the repeller in a residential area.

Note: The sound heard when turning on the device is not the alarm sound. Test this by placing the repeller and allowing it to detect you.

Tips

Install the repeller in a location that receives ample sunlight. If sunlight is insufficient, charge the repeller using the USB cable. Do not use the repeller while it is charging via USB.
Keep the repeller clean to ensure optimal performance and durability.
Test the repeller before placing it outdoors. Ensure its functionality is clear and that you have selected the correct settings.
Adjust the repeller to the correct height to maximize detection probability.
Do not cover the PIR sensor, as this will hinder performance and may lead to defects.
Keep the repeller away from children.

Q. Does the repeller make a ticking sound?: A. Yes, the repeller makes a soft ticking sound, which indicates that the ultrasonic sound is being emitted. The ultrasonic sound itself is inaudible to humans.
Q. Can the ultrasonic sound be turned off?: A. No, the ultrasonic sound is essential for the repelling effect and cannot be switched off.
Q. Can the white LED light be turned off?: A. No, the white LED light contributes to the repelling effect and cannot be switched off.
Q. What is the best location to place the repeller?: A. This depends on your objective. To prevent animals from entering your garden, place the repeller at the appropriate height near the entrance. To keep animals out of a specific area, consider the distance.
Q. Why does the blue light only work in the dark?: A. The blue light has a deterrent effect on animals at night, increasing the likelihood of them being repelled from your garden.
Q. Do I need to use all parts of the stake?: A. Not always. It depends on the desired height you wish to achieve.
Q. Is the repeller waterproof?: A. The repeller has a waterproof rating of IP44. It is advisable to remove the repeller if hailstorms are predicted.
