What's What

Diagrams labeling the components of the ZVOX AccuVoice AV30 earbuds and charging case, including LED power indicator lights, power light, reset button, USB-C power port, talking microphone, noise cancellation microphones, and magnetic charge connectors.

Charging

To charge the earbuds, plug the small USB-C tip of the charging cord into the bottom of the charging case and the large USB end into a 5-volt charger. Alternatively, the charging case can be placed on a wireless charging pad. The case will fully charge the earbuds in approximately one hour or less.

During charging, the LED light on the bottom of the case will slowly pulse green. Once the case is fully charged, the LED will turn solid green.

The bottom LED indicator on the case shows the charging status: red indicates 10% or less of charging power. The lights on top of the AV30 earbuds indicate their charging status: flashing blue means they are charging, solid blue means they are fully charged, and red indicates a low battery (less than 10% charged).

Note: The VB30 Charging Case is compatible with most wireless charging pads.

Pairing

To pair your ZVOX AccuVoice AV30 earbuds for the first time, open the charging case with the earbuds inside. Then, navigate to your phone, tablet, or computer's Bluetooth settings and select "ZVOX AV30" from the available list. Wait for a "connected" message to confirm pairing.

The earbuds will automatically pair with your device the next time you open the charging case in its presence. To pair with a different device, ensure Bluetooth is turned off on the original device before initiating the new pairing process.

Clearing Pairing Settings

To clear previous pairing settings, place both earbuds in the charging case and close it. Then, press and hold the reset button located on the bottom of the case for five or more seconds. This action will erase all previous pairing data, allowing you to start fresh with new devices.

Matching Domes to Your Ears

The AV30 earbuds come with three pairs of ear domes: small, medium, and large. Medium ear domes are pre-installed, as they are suitable for approximately 85% of users. If the medium domes feel too small, try the large domes. If the medium domes do not fit comfortably, try the small domes.

Controls & Tap Commands

You can control various functions by tapping the earbuds two or three times.

Two Taps

Tapping either earbud twice will play or pause an audio stream. For phone calls, two taps will either answer or end the call. If you are listening to a program and receive a call, two taps will pause the program and answer the call. Tapping twice again will end the call and resume the program.

Three Taps

Tapping either earbud three times changes the listening mode. The default mode is "Noise Cancelling Plus AccuVoice Dialogue Boost." Tapping three times again switches to "External Sounds" mode, which amplifies ambient sounds from your environment along with your audio or call. A third sequence of three taps switches to "Normal" mode, which disables noise cancellation, dialogue boost, and external sound amplification.

Note About Wind

Wind can negatively impact the performance of noise-cancelling and "External Sounds" modes. For use in windy conditions, it is recommended to select the "Normal" mode.

The "3-4 Finger Tap"

For more reliable tap command execution, it is recommended to use three or four fingers when tapping the earbuds, rather than a single finger. This increases the likelihood of a successful tap-change.
