Troubleshooting Steps Audio and Microphone Unable to hear sound during calls - Android tablet Use the following steps to increase the volume and check other sound options.
1. Check if the volume is low. To increase the volume, press the volume up button. 2. Also, check the volume in the Sound options. Select Settings.
3. Select Sound.

4. Change the volume (move the blue slider to the right to increase the volume).

5. Make sure the tablet is not muted. From the tablet's home page, swipe down from the top to reveal the Control Center, then tap on the mute icon to enable or disable mute. The following image is from a tablet that is not muted.
