OKAI ES520 Electric Scooter - Instruction Manual
Thank you for purchasing an OKAI electric scooter. This manual provides essential information for safe and secure operation. Please read it carefully before riding and keep it for future reference. Sharing this manual with others who may use the scooter is also recommended.
1. Introduction
Welcome to the OKAI family. This user manual is designed to help you use your OKAI electric scooter safely and securely. Riding an electric scooter can be dangerous, so it's important to understand its operation. Keep this manual in a safe place for future reference. If you lend the scooter to someone else, ensure they also have access to this manual for safe operation.
Failure to follow the instructions in this manual may result in serious damage to the product. For clarity, the OKAI electric scooter will be referred to as the "Product" throughout this document.
The Product is an entertainment and sports tool, but may also be considered a means of transportation in public areas where permitted by local laws and regulations. As with any vehicle, there are inherent safety risks. Adhering to the instructions in this manual will help mitigate these risks and ensure compliance with traffic laws.
Be aware that even with proper operation, risks exist due to the actions of others or other vehicles. Maintain a safe speed, keep a safe distance from others, and be especially vigilant in unfamiliar areas. Always yield to pedestrians.
In regions without specific national standards or regulations for electric scooters, users must adhere to the safety requirements outlined in this manual. OKAI is not liable for any losses, injuries, disputes, or other adverse events resulting from violations of these guidelines.
Do not lend the scooter to individuals who cannot operate it safely. If lending to a friend, ensure they are taught proper operation and wear protective equipment.
Before each use, perform a basic inspection. Check for loose parts, battery performance, tire wear, unusual noises, or steering malfunctions. If any issues are found, stop using the product immediately.
2. Legal Purpose
The electric scooter is primarily an entertainment and sports tool. However, when used in public areas where permitted by law, it may also function as a means of transportation. Users must comply with all applicable national and provincial traffic laws and regulations.
Riding an electric scooter carries inherent risks, similar to cycling or walking. Increased speed leads to longer braking distances. Sudden braking on smooth surfaces can cause loss of control or falls. Always maintain a proper speed, a safe distance from others, and be alert to your surroundings, especially in unfamiliar environments.
Respect pedestrian right-of-way and avoid startling pedestrians, particularly children.
In areas lacking specific regulations, users must adhere to the safety requirements in this manual. OKAI is not responsible for any consequences arising from non-compliance.
Do not lend the scooter to inexperienced users. If lending, provide instruction and ensure the user wears protective gear.
Perform a pre-ride check: inspect for loose parts, battery life, tire wear, noises, and steering. Cease use if any issues are detected.
