2. Intended Use
An electric scooter is intended for sport and entertainment purposes, not for use as a means of transportation. However, when used in public areas (as permitted by local laws and regulations), it carries potential safety risks for all vehicles. Drive strictly in accordance with the instructions in this manual to ensure the safety of yourself and others, and to comply with national and local traffic laws and regulations.
[WARNING] Driving an electric scooter on public roads or other public places, even if fully compliant with this guide, may still expose you to risks from illegal driving or improper operation by others, or other vehicles. Similar to walking or cycling, you can be injured by other vehicles. The faster you drive, the longer the braking distance. Emergency braking on smooth surfaces can cause wheel slip, loss of balance, or falls. Therefore, it is crucial to be vigilant, maintain a proper speed, and keep a safe distance from others.
When driving on unfamiliar terrain, stay alert and drive at a low speed. Respect pedestrians' right of way and avoid frightening them, especially children.
In countries or regions without specific electric scooter regulations (e.g., China), comply with the safety requirements in this manual. Zhejiang Okai Vehicle Co., Ltd. is not liable for financial losses, loss of life, legal disputes, or other unfavorable events resulting from violations of recommended uses.
To avoid potential injury, do not lend the scooter to untrained individuals. If lending to a friend, teach them how to operate it and ensure they wear protective equipment.
Perform a basic inspection before each ride. If parts are loose, battery life is significantly reduced, tires are worn, or steering is noisy/malfunctioning, stop using the scooter immediately.
