Intel CPU Cooler Installation
For LGA1700/1200/1151/1150/1155 Sockets:
- Place the Intel backplate (C) on the rear of the motherboard, aligning it with the CPU socket mounting holes.
- Insert and screw the Intel mounting studs (D) through the backplate into the motherboard.
- Apply a small amount of thermal paste (using tool K) onto the center of the CPU.
- Carefully position the heatsink assembly (A) onto the CPU, ensuring the mounting posts align with the studs (D).
- Place the Intel mounting brackets (E) over the heatsink's mounting posts and screw them into the studs (D) to secure the heatsink. Tighten in a cross pattern for even pressure.
- Attach the fans (B) to the heatsink's fins using the provided fan clips (J).
- Connect the fan power cables to the motherboard's CPU_FAN header, potentially using the splitter cable (L).
For LGA2066/2011-v3/2011 Sockets:
- Remove the motherboard's original CPU cooler mounting brackets.
- Attach the Intel mounting brackets (E) to the motherboard, aligning them with the CPU socket mounting holes.
- Screw the Intel mounting studs (F) into the brackets (E).
- Apply thermal paste (using tool K) onto the CPU.
- Position the heatsink assembly (A) onto the CPU, aligning the mounting posts with the studs (F).
- Secure the heatsink by attaching the mounting brackets (E) to the studs (F).
- Attach the fans (B) to the heatsink using fan clips (J).
- Connect the fan power cables to the motherboard's CPU_FAN header, potentially using the splitter cable (L).
AMD CPU Cooler Installation
For AM5/AM4 Sockets:
- Remove the motherboard's stock CPU cooler mounting hardware (plastic brackets and screws).
- Attach the AMD mounting brackets (G) to the motherboard, aligning them with the CPU socket mounting holes.
- Screw the AMD mounting studs (H) into the brackets (G).
- Apply thermal paste (using tool K) onto the CPU.
- Position the heatsink assembly (A) onto the CPU, aligning the mounting posts with the studs (H).
- Secure the heatsink by attaching the AMD retention clips/brackets (I) onto the studs (H).
- Attach the fans (B) to the heatsink using fan clips (J).
- Connect the fan power cables to the motherboard's CPU_FAN header, potentially using the splitter cable (L).
Fan Connection
The included splitter cable (L) allows for connecting multiple fans (B) to a single motherboard fan header for power and PWM control. Ensure proper alignment of pins when connecting ARGB cables if applicable.
