Installation of the WXMK2
Step 1: Mounting the Speaker
The speaker can be mounted horizontally or vertically using the provided mounting bracket. To mount the speaker in the desired position, the mounting bracket must be detached from the speaker. To do this, loosen the knurled nuts on either side of the speaker. After this, the mounting holes should be visible.
For stable mounting, the speaker must always be fixed with two screws. The position of the mounting holes depends on the orientation (horizontal or vertical) of the installation. The bracket can then be mounted in the desired location. Always use appropriate fixing means for the mounting surface. Once the bracket is mounted in the desired location, the speaker can be attached to the bracket.
Diagram showing mounting bracket dimensions. Label A indicates 174 mm for WX302MK2, 219 mm for WX502MK2, and 280.5 mm for WX802MK2. Label B indicates 108 mm for WX302MK2, 160.4 mm for WX502MK2, and 248 mm for WX802MK2. The diagram shows mounting holes and a central opening.
Model | A | B |
---|---|---|
WX302MK2 | 174 mm | 108 mm |
WX502MK2 | 219 mm | 160,4 mm |
WX802MK2 | 280,5 mm | 248 mm |
Step 2: Power Settings
On the rear of the WXMK2 series speakers, there is a recessed adjustment screw. This screw allows you to set the speaker's power/impedance to one of three impedance values for 100V operation and one value for standard low-impedance applications.
Image of the back of an AUDAC WX502 MK2 speaker showing the power/impedance settings. It indicates 50 Watt RMS / 100 Watt Max, Impedance: 8 Ω, and Line transformer power taps (100V) with settings for 40 Watt/250 Ω, 20 Watt/500 Ω, and 10 Watt/1000 Ω. It also shows CE marking.
Setting | WX302MK2 | WX502MK2 | WX802MK2 |
---|---|---|---|
1 | 20 W (500 ohms) | 40 W (250 ohms) | 60 W (167 ohms) |
2 | 10 W (1000 ohms) | 20 W (500 ohms) | 30 W (333 ohms) |
3 | 5 W (2000 ohms) | 10 W (1000 ohms) | 15 W (667 ohms) |
4 | 8 ohms | 8 ohms | 16 ohms |
If the speaker is connected to 70.7V installations, the power indicated in the table above is halved. For 50V installations, the power is divided by four.
Step 3: Making Connections
A terminal block connector with a loop-through possibility is available on the rear of the speaker. Connection can be made by loosening the terminal screws, inserting the wires according to the polarity indicated below. After retightening the screws, the connector can be inserted into its counterpart on the rear of the speaker.
Respect polarity markings when connecting speaker cables.

Step 4: Enjoy the Music
Once the WX speakers are correctly installed, you have earned a break to relax and enjoy the music!
