Quick Start Guide

Introduction

This document guides you through connecting the Yamaha WS-B1A wireless speaker to a Bluetooth® device, such as a smartphone, and playing music files. For more details, please refer to the Owner's Manual available at: https://download.yamaha.com/files/tcm:39-1554099/

Control Buttons

Power button )
Play/Pause button R: During playback, press twice quickly to skip to the next song, or three times to skip back to the beginning of the current or previous song.
Volume buttons -/+
Clear Voice button Q: When enabled, the Clear Voice lamp (E) glows, making human voices clearer.

1. Charging the Unit

Charge the unit before use. Use a commercially available USB power adapter (DC 5 V, 2 A or more). A charging cradle (Yamaha CC-T1A; sold separately) can also be used.

Connect the Type-C connector of the USB cable to the USB port on this unit.
Connect the Type-A connector of the USB cable to the USB power adapter.
Plug the USB power adapter into an AC wall outlet.

The power lamp (D) glows orange during charging and turns off when charging is complete.

2. Turning On the Unit

Press and hold the power button. The power lamp (D) flashes to indicate the remaining battery level:

Flashing white: Remaining battery level is more than half.
Flashing orange: Remaining battery level is less than half.

The unit turns on after showing the status. To turn off the unit, press and hold the power button again.

3. Connecting to a Bluetooth® Device

A Bluetooth device can be connected when the power lamp (D) is flashing blue.

On the Bluetooth device, enable the Bluetooth function.
On the Bluetooth device, select this unit (Yamaha WS-B1A) from the list of available devices.

When the connection is established, the power lamp glows blue. Start playback on the Bluetooth device.
