To Extend the Plumbing Scope Camera
The camera probe can only be pulled out by hand.
- Rotate the outlet locking device counterclockwise to the released position. Hold the probe with one hand and the handle in the other, and gently pull the probe out.
- When maneuvering the probe, pull on the yellow part of the probe. Avoid pulling directly on the metal camera head. When the wire is exposed, hold the wire with your hand and pull it out.
- If the wire feels stuck or jammed during the removal process, do not force it (the wire will only get tighter and tighter). Push the wire back in for a foot or so, and then try to pull the probe out again. If the extraction feels smooth, continue pulling to the desired distance.
- If the probe is not releasing smoothly, confirm whether the cable outlet locking device has been rotated to the loose (counter-clockwise direction) position or note if the cable outlet is blocked by any debris.
To Retract the Plumbing Scope Camera
- Retract the probe manually, by hand, pushing the wire in little by little. Hold the handle with one hand and the probe with the other. It is recommended to push the probe in 8-10 inches at a time. If you try to push in too long of a length of wire, there is a risk of breaking it.
- Make sure that the probe is straight and not tangled when you are retracting it. Retracting a tangled probe can risk breaking it.
- If the probe retraction process is not smooth, confirm that the cable outlet locking device is rotated to the loose (counter-clockwise direction) position or note if the cable outlet is blocked by foreign debris.
Precautions After Retraction
- After retracting the probe, Rotate the locking device clockwise to lock it in place. Make sure that the locking device is locked to prevent the wire from spontaneously extending and causing any damage.
Probe Accessories
- The top of the camera probe has a threaded ring installed on it. You can unthread the ring and replace it with different thread-on accessories.
- Two accessories are included with the device. They are used to keep the camera centered in the middle of any pipe that it is inserted into.
