Wall Mount Installation

INSTALLING / REMOVING THE BASE STAND

WARNING: The TV Display is very fragile and must be protected at all times when removing the base stand. Be sure that no hard or sharp object or anything that could scratch or damage the TV display comes into contact with it. Do NOT exert pressure on the front of the unit at any time because the screen could crack.

1. Disconnect all cables or cords connected to the unit.
2. Lay the unit down on a flat surface with the back side facing up. Please make sure to place a soft cushioned material (such as a pillow or thick piece of foam) beneath the screen.
3. To remove the base stand, loosen screws off the holes then pull downwards to release the base stand.

MOUNTING ON THE WALL

This unit is VESA-compliant, and is designed to be wall-mounted with a VESA-compliant 3.95" x 3.95" (100mm x 100mm) mounting kit designed for flat-panel TVs (not supplied). Mount this unit according to the instructions included in the mounting kit.

Length of screw should not exceed 8 mm.

NOTE: Remove the base stand before mounting the unit on the wall.

TV Bracket Assembly

1. Match the TV unit into the stand, then hold the TV stand, revolve and lock the TV unit tightly as the arrowhead point. [Diagram: Shows TV unit and TV stand components.]
2. Fix the screws into the TV stand after installing the TV unit and TV stand. [Diagram: Shows screws being inserted to secure the stand to the TV.]

• (IR) Infrared Receiver: Receives IR signals from the remote control.
• (Power on/Standby) LED Indicator: Press to turn on and off.
• Indicator on (Red): Standby mode
• Indicator on (Green): Power on mode

The effective receiving scope for the signal is 5-8 meters from the front of the remote control window, and 30° to the left or right side and 20° above or below the control window.

The functions of the buttons on the TV are as follows:

• VOL +/-: Press to adjust the volume.
• CH+/-: When watching TV: select channels.
• MENU:
  1. Press Menu.
  2. Press SOURCE to enter.
  3. Use CH+/- to shift UP/DOWN.
  4. Press SOURCE to confirm, then press VOL+/- to adjust.
  5. Press SOURCE to confirm.
• SOURCE: External signal input selection and confirm the item selected.
• ▶️ (Power Button): Turn on/standby the TV set.

Remote Controller

Button Functions:

1. Power: Set your TV to power on or standby mode.
2. MUTE: Press to mute the sound. Press again or press VOL+ to unmute.
3. 0-9: Press 0-9 to select a TV channel directly when you are watching TV. The channel will change after a few seconds.
4. -: Press "-" to enter a program number for multiple program channel, such as 2-1 etc. Return to the previous channel viewed.
5. [Previous Channel]: Return to the previous channel viewed.
6. P.MODE: Press to cycle through the different picture settings.
7. SLEEP: Select the amount of time before TV turns off automatically.
8. S.MODE: Press to cycle through the different sound settings.
9. MENU: Allows you to navigate the on-screen menus.
10. SOURCE: Press to cycle through the input source in following: TV→AV→YPBPR→HDMI1→HDMI2→HDMI3→PC.
11. THUMBSTICK (◀ / ▶ / ▲ / ▼ / ENTER): Allows you to navigate the on-screen menus and adjust the system settings to your preference.
12. EXIT: Exit from the menu or sub-menu and cancel the function in progress (if possible).
13. DISPLAY: Press to display the source and channel's information.
14. MTS: Press to select the audio mode, you can select Stereo, Mono, or SAP (second audio program).
15. V +/-: Press to increase or decrease the sound level.
16. CH+/-: Press to scan through or to select a channel.
17. AUTO: Adjusting the PC image rate automatically.
18. FAV: Set or cancel current channel to be a favourite channel.
19. FAV+: Down move Favourite program.
20. FAV-: Up move Favourite program.
21. CC: Press to display the closed caption.
22. ZOOM: Select display mode.

Universal remote code: This is the code for remote control of RLDED3956A-C. If you want to change to a universal remote control, you can edit this code into your universal remote control.

Universal Remote Control code: 007F (Universal Remote control is not included)

Battery Installation:

1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back side.
2. Insert two 1.5V batteries of AAA type with correct polarity.
3. Close the battery compartment cover on the back side.

Install and Connect TV

Set your TV

To put your TV in a firm place which can bear the weight of the TV.

To avoid danger, please don't expose the TV near water or heating place (such as light, candle, heating machine), do not block the ventilation at the back of TV.

Connect Antenna and power

1. Connect the antenna cable to the antenna socket (labeled "RF-In") on the side of the LED TV and to your antenna socket.
2. Plug the power cord of the TV into an electrical outlet.

Turn On TV

Press the power button of the TV. The indicator light will turn to green. If the indicator is in standby mode (the light is red), press the power button on the remote control or top of the TV.

Note: The first import or export good after connecting cable connecting power.

1. AV INPUT/OUTPUT

Video / Audio input, use the SOURCE button select AV on the remote control.

Setup Wizard

Connect an RF cable from the TV's input called "RF-In" and to your TV Aerial socket.

Select Language

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select the language to be used for menus and message.

Press ▼ / ▲ button to select go to next step and press ENTER/▶ button to go.

• Standard: Produces a highly defined image in a normally lit room.
• Dynamic: Produces a highly defined image in a brightly lit room.
• Soft: Produces a highly defined image in a soft lit room.
• User: Select to customize picture settings.

【Brightness】

Adjust the visual perception output of the entire picture; it will affect the luminousness of the picture.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to adjust.

【Contrast】

Adjust the highlight intensity of the picture, but the shadow of the picture is invariable.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to adjust.

【Color】

Adjust the saturation of the color based on your own like.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to adjust.

【Tint】

Adjust the hue (Red, Green, Blue) of the picture.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to adjust.

【Sharpness】

Adjust the peaking in the detail of the picture.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to adjust.

【Color Temperature】

Increase or reduce warm color of the picture personally (red), and the cool color personally (blue) according to your like.

• Normal: Increase the sex-linked colors for the white.
• Warm: Increase the red color for the white.
• Cool: Increase the blue tone for the white.

【Advanced Settings】

Adjust advanced video features to fine tune the picture.

【Aspect Ratio】

Adjust how the picture fills the screen.

• Normal: Automatically adjust Aspect Ratio based on TV size and TV program.
• Wide: Use to watch wide screen (16:9) content.
• Zoom: Expands image to fill screen. Top and button maybe cut off.
• Cinema: Stretches image at edges but keeps a clear image in the center.

【Noise Reduction】

Set options to reduce video noise.

• Off: Select to turn off video noise detection.
• Low: Detect and reduce low video noise.
• Medium: Detect and reduce moderate video noise.
• High: Detect and reduce enhanced video noise.
• Auto: Detect and reduce video noise automatically.

【Dynamic Contrast】

Automatically adjust picture detail and brightness.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (Off/On).

【HDMI Mode】

Only available in HDMI input.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (Video/Graphic).

【Sound Mode】

Select a sound mode to achieve ideal sound.

Note: The bass and treble are only available in User mode, you can adjust as you like.

• Standard: Produces a balanced sound in all environments.
• Music: Preserves the original sound. Good for musical programs.
• Movie: Enhances treble and bass for a rich sound experience.
• Sports: Enhances vocals for TV audio.
• User: Select to customize audio settings.

【Bass】

Adjust the bass effect. Increases or decreases lower-pitched sounds.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to adjust.

【Treble】

Adjust the treble effect. Increases or decreases high-pitched sounds.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to adjust.

【Balance】

Adjust the balance between left and right speakers to adapt to your listening position.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to adjust.

【MTS】

Configures the multi-track sound. It is only available in ATV.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (Mono/Stereo/SAP).

• Mono: Sets the sound to mono.
• Stereo: Sets the sound to stereo when stereo is not available, the sound is automatically switched to mono.
• SAP: Sets the sound to the second audio program.

【Audio Language】

Select the language supported by the chosen digital channel. It is only available in DTV.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (English / French / Spanish).

【Digital Audio Output】

Send digital audio to external audio system.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select.

• PCM: Select to output audio in 2-channel stereo.
• Raw: Original image coded date.
• Off: Set digital audio output off.

【Surround Sound】

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (On / Off).

【AVL】

Set the auto volume control.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (On / Off).

NOTE: Balance: This item can adjust the speaker's output, it enables you to listen to best at your position. AVL: This item uses for reducing the difference between channel and program's volume automatically. It made the overall water to be even. This function will also reduce the fluctuation of the sound.

Time Menu

Press MENU to enter the main menu, Press ◀ / ▶ button to select.

Press ENTER / ▶ to enter.

Press MENU again to exit or back to parent menu.

Set a timer for the TV to turn off automatically.

【Time Zone】

Select your time zone.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (Eastern / Central / Mountain / Pacific / Alaska / Hawaii/Samoa/ Newfoundland / Atlantic).

【Daylight Saving Time】

Set the daylight saving time for your area.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (On/Off).

【Time Format】

Select your time format.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (12-hour / 24-hour).

【Auto Clock】

Use to synchronize the display automatically. It is only available in DTV.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (On/Off).

Setup Menu

Press MENU to enter the main menu, Press ◀ / ▶ button to select.

Press ENTER / ▶ to enter.

【OSD Time out】

Adjust the duration of the OSD (on screen display) menu.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (5 Sec., 15Sec., 30Sec., 45Sec., 60Sec.).

【Closed Caption】

Adjust Closed Captioning settings. Only available under TV and AV source.

Press ENTER / ▶ button to enter.

Close Caption

【CC Mode】

Turn Closed Captioning on/off.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (CC Off / CC On / CC OnMute).

【Analog CC】

Set Closed Captioning for standard (analog) program.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (CC1 / CC2 / CC3 / CC4 / TEXT1 / TEXT2 / TEXT3 / TEXT4).

【Digital CC】

Set Closed Captioning for digital program.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (Off / Service 1 / Service2 / Service3 / Service4 / Service5 / Service6).

【Option】

Adjust the digital Closed Captioning setting.

Press ▶ button to enter.

【Mode】

Set the look of digital Closed Captioning. Automatic uses broadcaster's style.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (Default / Custom).

【Font Style】

Select from 8 font styles.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (Default / Font 0 / Font 1 / Font 2 / Font 3 / Font 4 / Font 5 / Font 6 / Font 7).

【Font Size】

Adjust the size of the digital Closed Captioning font.

Press ▼ / ▲ button to select (Default/Normal / Large / Small).

【Font Edge Style】

Adjust the edge of the digital Closed Captioning box.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (Default / None / Raised / Depressed / Uniform / Left Shadow / Right Shadow).

【Font Edge Color】

Adjust the color of the digital Closed Captioning box.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (Default/ Black / White / Red / Green / Blue / Yellow / Magenta / Cyan).

【FG Color】

Adjust the color of the digital Closed Captioning font.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (Default/ Black / White / Red / Green / Blue / Yellow / Magenta / Cyan).

【BG Color】

Adjust the digital Closed Captioning background color.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (Default/ Black / White / Red / Green / Blue / Yellow / Magenta / Cyan).

【FG Opacity】

Adjust the transparency of the digital Closed Captioning font.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (Default / Solid / Flashing / Translucent).

【BG Opacity】

Adjust the digital Closed Captioning background transparency.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (Default / Solid / Flashing / Translucent).

【Over Scan】

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (On/Off).

It is only available to enter 1080i/720p/1080p in DTV/Component/HDMI. Default is On. It fixed set to be On in ATV/AV. It fixed set to be Off in PC/USB.

【Input Labels】

Create labels for the devices connected to your TV.

Press ENTER / ▶ button to enter.

【Other Settings】

Set the parameter of audio only, no signal power off and no operation power off.

Press ENTER / ▶ button to enter.

【Blue Screen】

To select the transition type required while changing from one channel to another.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (On / Off).

【Audio Only】

Play the audio with the picture turned off. When you turn the Audio Only on and exit the OSD menu, the panel will be dark; and then press any key to exit the Audio Only status.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (On/Off).

【Restore Default】

Change power on options or reset TV to factory default.

Press ENTER / ▶ button to enter.

【Setup Wizard】

Set the first time installation.

Lock Menu

Press MENU to enter the main menu. Press ◀ / ▶ button to select.

Press ENTER / ▶ to enter.

Enter your 4-digital password. Default password is 0000, and if you forget what you set, please call the service center.

【Change Password】

Enter a new 4-digital password then re-enter it to confirm.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to enter.

【System Lock】

Lock or unlock the buttons on the TV.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (Off / On).

【Input Block】

Block or unblock the input sources.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (Unblock / Block).

【RRT Setting】

Display an advance V-Chip rating table for digital channels.

The item is available only When current stream has downloadable rating data.

【Reset RRT】

Reset the RRT to default.

The item is available only When current stream has downloadable rating data.

US Rating

For the United States, the rating setting basically include the following options: TV, MPAA.

TV Rating

The TV rating compose of two aspects: age-based and content-based.

*Note: The content ratings will increase depending on the level of the age-based rating. For example, a program with a TV-PG V(violence) rating may contain moderate violence, while a TV-14 V(violence) rating may contain intense violence. So locking a higher level option will automatically cause locking the options that has more sensitive level.

MPAA and Canada Rating

MPAA

This system defines the rating control which come from MPAA rules.

Canada Rating

For Canada, the rating setting include the following options: Canada English, Canada French.

Canada English

These ratings are for programs which are using English rating system.

Canada French

The ratings are for programs which are using French rating system.

Hotel Menu

【Hotel Mode】

Set hotel mode On or Off.

Note: The following settings work only when Hotel Mode is set to be On.

【Boot Setting】

【Picture Mode】

Adjust picture mode to change picture appearance.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to select (Standard / Dynamic / Soft / User).

【Default Volume】

Set the default volume for every time you open the TV, the default volume is 20.

【Max Volume】

Set the max volume that you can adjust.

【Boot Source】

Set the default input source when turning on your TV.

Hotel Menu (Continued)

【Boot Channel】

Set boot channel On or Off.

Note: Channel Select is available when Boot Channel is set to be On.

【Channel Select】

Set boot default on what channels. After channel searching, channels in the list can be selected.

【Hotel Lock】

To lock the Tuner/Key Pad/Menu Lock that you want.

Channel searching is invalid when Tuner Lock is set to be On.

【Power Save】

Set a timer for the TV to turn off automatically.

Available Timer: 60Min, 120Min, 180Min, 240Min, Off.

【TV to USB】

Backup data to USB.

【USB to TV】

Restore data from USB.

【Reset Hotel Setting】

Recall the default settings of Hotel menu.

Channel Menu

Press MENU to enter the main menu, Press ◀ / ▶ button to select.

Press ENTER / ▶ to enter.

Press MENU again to exit or back to parent menu.

【Favorites】

Add channels to create a favorite list.

Press ▶ button to enter.

【Channel List】

Display your program list.

Press ▶ button to enter.

【Show/Hide】

Show or hide the channels in your program list.

【Channel Number】

Show the channel number.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to adjust.

【Channel Label】

Create labels for channels, up to 7 characters.

PC Menu

Press INPUT to select PC source.

【H-Pos】

Adjust the horizontal position of the picture.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to adjust.

【V-Pos】

Adjust the vertical position of the picture.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to adjust.

【Clock】

Adjust the vertical position of the picture.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to adjust.

【Phase】

Adjust the horizontal interfering lines.

Press ◀ / ▶ button to adjust.

【Auto】

Adjust to the screen automatically to the optimal position of the picture.

Press ▶ button to enter.

*Notes:

1. Color, Tint, Sharpness, Noise Reduction, Dynamic Contrast and HDMI Mode in PICTURE are invalid.
2. MTS and Audio Language in SOUND menu are invalid.
3. Auto Clock in TIME menu is invalid.
4. Close Caption in SETUP menu is invalid.
5. US Rating, Canada Rating, RRT Setting and Reset RRT in LOCK menu are invalid.
6. PC mode has no CHANNEL menu.

Help

Note: There will be complete picture and the brightness will come down if the TV is in the static picture for too long time. So please do not keep the TV in a state of same Menu or same picture that has much difference in brightness and contrast ratio for too long time.
