Read and Save These Instructions.
- To reduce the risk of electric shock, ensure electricity is turned off at the circuit breaker or fuse box before beginning.
- All wiring must comply with the National Electrical Code (ANSI/NFPA 70) and local electrical codes. Electrical installation should be performed by a qualified licensed electrician.
- The outlet box and support structure must be securely mounted and capable of supporting a minimum of 15.9 kg (35 lbs). Use only cUL-listed outlet boxes marked "Acceptable for Fan Support of 15.9 kg (35 lbs) or less."
- The fan must be mounted with a minimum of 2.5 m (8 ft.) clearance from the trailing edge of the blades to the floor.
- Do not place objects in the path of the blades.
- Use caution when working around or cleaning the fan to avoid personal injury or damage.
- After making electrical connections, turn spliced conductors upward and push them into the outlet box. Spread wires apart with the grounded conductor and equipment-grounding conductor on one side of the outlet box.
- Check and retighten all setscrews as necessary before installation.
Warnings:
- Do not bend blade brackets. Do not insert objects into the path of the blades.
- Do not use this fan with any solid-state speed control device.
- Turn off electricity at the main fuse box before wiring. If unsure, contact a licensed electrician.
- Mount to an outlet box marked "Acceptable for fan support of 15.9 kg (35 lbs) or less" and use provided screws.
- Electrical diagrams are for reference only. Refer to light kit instructions if using a light kit. Optional light kits must be cUL-listed and marked suitable for use with this fan.
- This fan should only be used with fan speed control part no. AP-8RDL, manufactured by Dawnsun Electronic Co., LTD.
- Install with an isolating wall switch.
Cautions:
- Use only screws provided with the outlet box.
- Do NOT use this fan with a dimmer switch or wall control, as it will damage the fan.
- Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.

Warranty
The supplier warrants the fan motor to be free from defects in workmanship and material for a lifetime after the date of purchase by the original purchaser. The light kit (excluding glass) is warranted for five years. All other fan parts (excluding glass or acrylic blades) are warranted for three years.
To obtain warranty service, present a copy of the receipt. Costs of removal and reinstallation are the customer's responsibility. Damage from accident, misuse, improper installation, or accessories is not covered. Warranty does not cover changes in brass finish due to climatic conditions. A certain amount of wobble is normal and not considered a defect. Servicing by unauthorized persons voids the warranty. Interline disclaims all other warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by law. Implied warranty duration is limited to the express warranty period. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranty duration. The retailer is not liable for incidental, consequential, or special damages. Some states do not allow exclusion of incidental or consequential damages.

Installation
Mounting Options
WARNING: Mount to outlet box marked "Acceptable for fan support of 15.9 kg (35 lbs) or less", and use screws provided with the outlet box. Outlet boxes used for lighting fixtures may not be acceptable for fan support and may need replacement. Consult a qualified electrician if in doubt.
If your ceiling fan does not have an existing cUL-listed mounting box, install one using the following instructions:
- Disconnect power by removing fuses or turning off circuit breakers.
- Secure the outlet box directly to the building structure using appropriate fasteners and materials. The outlet box and support structure must be securely mounted and capable of supporting a minimum of 15.9 kg (35 lbs). Use only cUL-listed outlet boxes marked "Acceptable for Fan Support of 15.9 kg (35 lbs) or less." Do not use a plastic outlet box.
The illustrations show three different ways to mount the outlet box:

NOTE: A longer downrod may be needed to maintain proper blade clearance on a steep, sloped ceiling. The maximum allowable angle is 30° away from horizontal.
If the canopy touches the downrod, remove the decorative canopy bottom cover, turn the canopy 180°, and attach it to the mounting plate.
To hang the fan where there is an existing fixture but no ceiling joist, an installation hanger bar may be needed (available at Home Depot).
Assembly - Standard Ceiling Mount
1. Preparing for mounting
- Remove the canopy ring (FF) from the canopy (C) by turning counterclockwise until unlocked.
- Remove the mounting bracket (A) from the canopy (C) by loosening the two canopy screws (II) in the "L shaped" slots.
- Remove and save the two canopy screws (HH) from the round holes to remove the mounting bracket (A).
2. Routing the wires
- Route wires exiting the top of the fan motor assembly (E) through the center of the canopy ring (FF), ensuring the slots are on top.
- Insert the ball/downrod (B) through the canopy (C) and slide the decorative motor collar cover (D) onto the ball/downrod (B). Ensure canopy slots (C) are on top.
- Route wires exiting the top of the fan motor assembly (E) through the downrod (B).
3. Assembling the fan
- Loosen, but do not remove, the setscrews (JJ) on the collar of the fan-motor assembly (E).
- Align the holes at the bottom of the ball/downrod assembly (B) with the holes in the collar on top of the fan-motor assembly (E).
- Carefully insert the hanger pin (BB) through the holes in the collar and ball/downrod assembly (B). Avoid jamming the hanger pin (BB) against wiring.
- Insert the locking pin (CC) through the hole near the end of the hanger pin (BB) until it snaps into place.
- Re-tighten the setscrews (JJ) on the collar on top of the fan-motor assembly (E).
WARNING: Failure to properly install the locking pin (CC) could result in the fan becoming loose and possibly falling.
CAUTION: To ensure wobble-free operation and to avoid damage, the downrod (B) and setscrew (JJ) must be completely tightened.
Assembly - Hanging the Fan
1. Attaching the fan to the electrical box
WARNING: Mount to an outlet box marked "Acceptable for fan support of 15.9 kg (35 lbs) or less", and use the screws provided with the outlet box.
NOTE: The mounting bracket (A) is designed to slide into place on an outlet box with the outlet box screws (TT) installed.
- Loosen the two mounting screws (TT) in the outlet box.
- Pass the 120-Volt supply wires through the center hole in the mounting bracket (A).
- Slide the mounting bracket (A) onto the mounting screws (TT) and center it in relation to the outlet box. Use leveling washers (not included) if necessary between the bracket (A) and the outlet box. The flat side of the bracket (A) should face the outlet box.
- Securely tighten the two mounting screws (TT).
2. Hanging the fan
- Carefully lift the fan-motor assembly (E) to the slide-on mounting bracket (A).
- Insert the ball portion of the ball/downrod assembly into the socket of the slide-on mounting bracket (A).
- Turn the ball/downrod (B) assembly clockwise until it is seated with the tab of the slide-on mounting bracket (A) aligned with the slot in the ball.
3. Connecting the safety cable
- Screw the wood screw (KK) (not provided) into the ceiling.
- Place the looped end of the safety cable (S) onto the wood screw and tighten the screw firmly, or connect the safety cable directly to the outer joist.
4. Setting the code on the remote control and receiver
NOTE: Receiver and hand unit frequencies are preset at the factory. Ensure dip switches on both are set to the same frequency. Dip switches on the hand unit are inside the battery compartment.
NOTE: Batteries weaken with age and should be replaced before leaking. Leakage will damage the hand unit. Dispose of used batteries properly and keep away from children.
- Remove the remote control (I) battery cover by pressing firmly on the arrow and sliding the cover off.
- Slide the dip switches (ZZ) to your desired position (factory setting is up).
- Slide the dip switches (ZZ) on the receiver (H) to the same position as the remote control (I).
- Install the A23 12V battery (K).
- Replace the battery cover on the remote control (I).
- Insert the silicone rubber stopper (OO) into the receiver (H) hole to cover the dip switches.
5. Installing the receiver
WARNING: Disconnect power before wiring. Electrical wiring must meet all local and national electrical code requirements. The electrical source and fan must be 110/120 volt, 60Hz. Do not use with any variable wall control. Incorrect wiring can damage the receiver.
CAUTION: If fan wires are different colors, have this unit installed by a licensed electrician.
CAUTION: Do not install the receiver in a damp location or immerse in water (indoor use only). Do not pull on or cut receiver leads. Do not drop or bump the unit.
- Position house supply wires (AAA) to one side of the slide-on mounting bracket (A); position fan wires (BBB) to the opposite side.
- Insert the narrow end of the receiver (H) (flat side towards the ceiling) into the slide-on mounting bracket until it rests on top of the ball/downrod assembly.
6. Wiring the receiver to the household wiring
IMPORTANT: Use supplied wire connecting nuts (AA). Secure connectors with electrical tape and ensure no loose strands or connections.
WARNING: Each supplied wire nut is designed for one 12-gauge house wire and two fan wires. If you have larger gauge house wiring or more than one house wire to connect, consult an electrician for proper wire nuts.
- Spread wires so green and white wires are on one side of the outlet box, and the black wire is on the other.
- Connect the green fan wires to the household ground wire (green or bare) using a wire connecting nut (AA).
- Connect the receiver (H) black or red wire to the household black (hot) wire using a wire connecting nut (AA).
- Connect the receiver (H) white wire to the household white (neutral) wire using a wire connecting nut (AA).
- Secure each wire connecting nut with electrical tape.
WARNING: Turn off electricity at the main fuse box before wiring. If unsure, contact a licensed electrician.
7. Wiring the fan to the receiver
NOTE: The fan comes with 12 in. lead wires for the 6 in. ball/downrod assembly (B). For a longer downrod, use the 42 in. extension lead wire (J).
- If using the 6 in. ball/downrod assembly (B), wire the receiver to the fan wires by connecting the molded adapter plug from receiver (H) with the molded adapter of the fan motor assembly (E).
- If using a longer downrod, use the extension lead wire (42 in.) (J) by connecting the molded adapter together.
8. Mounting the fan-motor assembly (standard mount)
- Align the locking slots of the canopy (C) with the two screws (II) in the mounting bracket (A). Push up to engage the slots and turn clockwise to lock.
- Firmly tighten the two mounting screws (II).
- Install the two canopy screws (HH) (saved from Assembly Step 1) into the canopy (C) holes and tighten firmly.
- Install the decorative canopy ring (FF) by aligning its slots with the screws in the canopy (C). Rotate clockwise to lock.
Assembly - Attaching the Fan Blade
1. Attaching the blade to the motor
- Attach a blade (F) to the fan motor housing (E) by inserting it into the slot until it stops. The locking clip (LL) will click when correctly installed. Ensure the blade is fully snapped into the locking clip (LL) by pulling the fan blade away from the motor housing.
- Repeat for the remaining blades (F).
Removing the blade from the motor
- To remove a blade (F), squeeze the tabs of the locking clip (LL) towards each other and pull the fan blade away from the motor housing.
- Repeat for the remaining blades (F).
Assembly - Attaching the Accessories
1. Installation of the light kit adapter
- Connect the light kit (G) wires to the fan motor assembly (E) wires by connecting the molded adapter plugs. Carefully tuck all wires and splices into the switch cup and connect the safety cable (SS) from the light kit (G) to the hook on the motor assembly (E).
- Push the light kit assembly (G) up to the motor assembly (E), aligning the magnetic part of the motor assembly (E) until it is securely attached.
Operating Your Fan and Remote Control
Remote Control
Your fan is equipped with a remote control for speed and light operation. Speed settings for warm or cool weather depend on room size, ceiling height, and number of fans.
The fan is shipped with the reversing switch (YY) positioned for downward airflow. To reverse airflow:
- Turn the fan off and wait for the blades to stop.
- Slide the reversing switch (located on the top of the motor housing) to the opposite position.
- Turn the fan on again. The blades will turn in the opposite direction, reversing airflow.
Warm weather - (Forward): Downward airflow creates a cooling effect, allowing for a higher air conditioner setting without affecting comfort.
Cool weather - (Reverse): Upward airflow moves warm air off the ceiling, allowing for a lower heating unit setting without affecting comfort.
Operating Your Fan and Remote Control
- Power ON/OFF: Press and release the power button to turn the fan and light on or off.
- Fan speed: LEDs on the fan speed button illuminate to the corresponding speed.
- Press and release 1 time: high speed.
- Press and release 2 times: medium speed.
- Press and release 3 times: low speed.
- Press and release 4 times: fan off.
- Light ON/OFF: Press and release to turn the light on or off. Press and hold to activate the dimmer function.
- Correlated Color Temperature (CCT) changing:
NOTE: The default ceiling fan light temperature is 3000K (Soft White).
- Push and release the button to cycle through three color temperature options:
- Option 1: 2700K (Warm White)
- Option 2: 3000K (Soft White)
- Option 3: 5000K (Daylight)
Care and Cleaning
WARNING: Ensure power is off before cleaning the fan.
- Due to the fan's natural movement, some connections may loosen. Check support connections, brackets, and blade attachments twice a year. Ensure they are secure. It is not necessary to remove the fan from the ceiling.
- Clean the fan periodically to maintain its new appearance. Do not use water, as it may damage the motor or wood, or cause electric shock. Use only a soft brush or lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the finish.
- A light coat of furniture polish can be applied to wood for protection and beauty. Cover small scratches with a light application of shoe polish.
- The motor has permanently-lubricated sealed ball bearings; no oiling is necessary.
- To remove a blade from the motor housing, squeeze the tabs of the locking clip towards each other and pull the fan blade away from the motor housing (refer to page 11).
