Parts and Names
Front Panel
The front panel of the E1x2 OTG features various controls and indicators for audio input, output, and monitoring.
The front panel is organized with input connections and controls on the left, indicators and main output controls in the center, and headphone output on the right. Key controls include:
- 1. IN: XLR and 6.35mm (TRS/TS) combo jack for microphone, instrument, or line-level devices.
- 2. INST: Switch for Line/Instrument input. Light off for Line, light on for Instrument.
- 3. 48V: Phantom power switch for microphone inputs. Light on enables 48V phantom power for XLR input. Caution: Use only for condenser microphones; turn off when not needed. Lower volume before switching.
- 4. Input gain knob: Adjusts the gain level for input signals. Rotate clockwise to increase, counterclockwise to decrease. Monitor CLIP indicator.
- 5. MON: Direct monitoring switch. Enables zero-latency monitoring by routing input signals directly to the headphone output.
- 6. LED Meters: Input (IN1) and Output (OUT1&2) level indicators. CLIP lights up when signal is clipping.
- 7. Power indicator: Solid light for working, off for power off, breathing light for standby.
- 8. OTG indicator: Solid light indicates OTG device connected, off means no device connected.
- 9. Input monitor mix knob: Adjusts the balance between live input signal and computer playback signal for monitoring.
- 10. Headphone volume control: Adjusts the volume level for the headphone output.
- 11. 6.35mm headphone output jack: For connecting headphones.
- 12. GAIN: Headphone amplifier gain setting. Light off for low gain, light on for high gain.
- 13. MONITOR: Controls the output level for the LINE OUT to speakers.
Rear Panel
The rear panel provides the main connectivity ports for the audio interface.
The rear panel features:
- 14. LINE OUT: 6.35mm TRS balanced jacks for connecting to active speakers or amplifiers.
- 15. OTG: USB-C port for connecting mobile devices (phones, tablets) for recording or playback.
- 16. USB-C: USB-C port for connecting to a computer for data transfer and power.
- 17. POWER: DC5V power input for additional power when needed, especially with mobile devices. When used, the adjacent USB-C port is for data only.
- 18. Power switch: Main power toggle.
Connection diagrams illustrate XLR, TRS, and TS input types with their respective pinouts (GND, +, -).
Factory Reset
To restore factory settings, press and hold the MON button on the front panel while powering on the device until all meter indicators light up.
Connection
Ensure all volume levels are set to minimum before connecting or disconnecting external devices to prevent hearing damage or equipment malfunction.
