Safety Precautions

Your safety is very important, as is that of others. Several important safety messages appear in this manual and on your appliance. Read them carefully and follow them systematically.

The ? symbol is synonymous with warning. It draws your attention to potential risks that could cause fatal or serious injury to the user or others present.

All safety messages are printed next to the warning symbol or after the words "DANGER" or "WARNING". These words mean the following:

  • DANGER: You risk being fatally or seriously injured if you do not immediately follow the instructions.

  • WARNING: You risk being fatally or seriously injured if you do not scrupulously follow the instructions.

All safety messages indicate the potential danger, how to reduce the risk of injury, and what can happen if you do not follow the instructions.

PRODUCT USAGE

BEFORE FIRST USE

Before using your multi-function food processor for the first time, wash all parts and accessories by hand or in the dishwasher (see "Care and Cleaning" section). Your multi-function food processor is designed so that all accessories can be stored in the work bowl.

  1. Lift the lid locking system to unlock it. Tilt the work bowl lid backward and lift it so that the lid hinge comes out of the handle hinge.
  2. Remove all parts and accessories from the work bowl, then lift the pusher to remove it from the feed tube.

FOOD PROCESSOR ASSEMBLY

IMPORTANT: Place the multi-function food processor on a dry, horizontal work surface with the controls facing forward. Do not plug in the multi-function food processor until it is fully assembled.

  1. Place the work bowl onto the base, aligning the handle with the raised knob on the right side of the base. The bowl will click into place and should be flush with the base when correctly aligned.
  2. Place the adapter onto the work bowl, lowering it onto the drive shaft.

NOTE: For easier assembly, install the desired blade or disc before attaching the work bowl lid.

  1. To attach the work bowl lid, insert the lid hinge into the bowl handle hinge and close the lid.
  2. Once the work bowl lid is closed, push the lid hinge down into the locked position.

NOTE: Your multi-function food processor will not operate if the work bowl lid is not properly closed and the work bowl is not correctly installed on the base.

INSTALLATION OF THE ALL-PURPOSE BLADE OR KNEADING BLADE

  1. Place the blade onto the adapter. Rotate the blade so it is positioned at the base of the adapter.
  2. Install the work bowl lid and ensure the lid locking system is in the locked position.

INSTALLATION OF THE REVERSIBLE SLICING/SHREDDING DISC OR JULIENNE DISC

  1. For slicing: Rotate the disc so that the raised slicing blade faces upwards.
  2. For shredding: Rotate the disc so that the raised small shredding blades face upwards.
  3. For julienning: Insert the disc so that the raised slicing blade faces upwards.

The disc can be placed in two different positions: at the top of the bowl for preparation and at the bottom of the bowl for storage. NOTE: When in the storage position, the disc performs less effectively. For optimal performance, ensure the disc is level with the top of the bowl.

  1. Hold the disc by its central hub and install it onto the adapter, aligning the central hub markings on the disc with the markings on the adapter. To be correctly placed, the disc must be level with the top of the bowl. If the disc drops into the storage position, remove it, rotate it 90°, and reinstall it.
  2. Install the work bowl lid and ensure the lid locking system is in the locked position.

USING THE JULIENNE DISC

  1. Insert the julienne blade into the multi-function food processor with the blade facing upwards. Close the lid locking system.
  2. Prepare ingredients by cutting them into pieces approximately 25 mm, small enough for the vegetables to fit into the feed tube.
  3. Stack ingredients horizontally in the feed tube with the multi-function food processor turned off.
  4. Place the pusher onto the ingredients to apply light pressure, then set the appliance to 1 or 2 (refer to the table for the setting instructions to use).

FOOD PROCESSOR OPERATION

WARNING

Danger: rotating blade

Always use a pusher to introduce food.

Do not put fingers near openings.

Keep the appliance out of reach of children.

Failure to follow these instructions may result in cuts or amputations.

Before using the multi-function food processor, ensure that the work bowl, blades, and work bowl lid are correctly assembled on the appliance base (see "Food Processor Assembly" section).

  1. To start the appliance, press 1 or 2. The multi-function food processor will run continuously and the indicator light will illuminate. To stop the appliance, press 1 or 2 again, or press O/Pulse.
  2. Using the Pulse function: Press O/Pulse for short bursts or hold the button down for longer bursts. The Pulse function operates only at high speed. The multi-function food processor will stop when you release the O/Pulse button.
  3. When you have finished, press the O/Pulse button. The indicator light will turn off and the blade or disc will slow down until it stops.
  4. Wait for the blade or disc to stop completely before removing the work bowl lid. Be sure to stop the multi-function food processor before removing the work bowl lid or unplugging the appliance.

USING THE 2-IN-1 FEED TUBE

The 2-in-1 feed tube has a 2-part pusher. To slice or shred small food items, insert the 2-part pusher into the feed tube.

Use the small feed tube and pusher to prepare finely chopped or small items, such as carrots or celery.

To drizzle oil onto ingredients, simply fill the small pusher with the desired amount of oil. A small hole at the bottom of the pusher will allow the oil to drip out slowly at a constant rate.

REMOVING PREPARED FOOD

  1. Turn off the multi-function food processor: Press the O/Pulse button and unplug the multi-function food processor before disassembling it.
  2. Lift the lid locking system to unlock the work bowl lid, then lift it off.
  3. If using a disc, remove it before removing the bowl. Hold the disc by its central hub and lift it vertically.
  4. Remove the adapter and accessory, if applicable. The blade remains on the adapter when you remove it.
  5. Lift the work bowl off the base to remove the food from the bowl using a spatula.

The maximum recommended capacity for julienning ingredients is 500 g at high speed for a maximum duration of 2 minutes.

CARE AND CLEANING

IMPORTANT: The BPA-free bowl requires specific precautions. If you choose to use a dishwasher instead of hand washing, please follow these instructions.

Allow the appliance to cool completely before putting on or removing parts, and before cleaning.

  1. Press the O/Pulse button, then unplug the multi-function food processor before cleaning it.
  2. Clean the base and cord with a cloth dampened with warm water, then with a damp cloth. Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Do not immerse the base in water or other liquids.
  3. All parts can be washed in the top rack of the dishwasher. Avoid placing the bowl on its side. Dry all parts thoroughly after washing. Use delicate wash cycles, such as the normal cycle. Avoid high-temperature cycles.

NOTE: If hand washing the multi-function food processor parts, avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. They can scratch or dull the work bowl and lid.

  1. You can store up to two blades and three discs, plus the adapter, inside the work bowl when not using the multi-function food processor. Additionally, the refrigerator lid can be stored on the work bowl, with the work bowl lid placed over it. Wrap the power cord around the storage system at the base of the unit, then secure the plug to the housing.

The legal warranty of conformity applies independently of any commercial warranty offered.

Independently of this commercial warranty, the consumer may decide to apply the legal warranty for hidden defects within the meaning of Article 1641 of the French Civil Code. In this case, the consumer may choose between canceling the sale or reducing the purchase price, in accordance with Article 1644 of the French Civil Code.

Article L. 217-4 of the French Consumer Code

The seller must deliver a product that conforms to the contract and is responsible for any lack of conformity existing at the time of delivery. The product is deemed to conform to the contract:

    • it corresponds to the description given by the seller and has the qualities that the seller presented to the buyer by means of a sample or model; and
    • it possesses the qualities that a buyer can legitimately expect, taking into account public statements made by the seller, the manufacturer, or its representative, particularly in advertising or on labeling; or
  2. if it has the characteristics agreed upon by the parties or is suitable for any special use intended by the buyer, which was made known to the seller and which the latter accepted.
