Google Assistant Setup

Setup Steps

  1. Connect your headphones to your mobile device.
  2. On your Android™ device, press and hold the home button to open Google Assistant and follow the on-screen instructions. (Only available on Android)

Note: Google Assistant is available on eligible Android 6.0* devices or later. Requirements include Android phones (Lollipop, Marshmallow, Nougat) with Google Play Services, over 1.5GB of memory, and 720p or higher screen resolution.

Using Google Assistant

Talk to Google AssistantTap and hold the voice button while talking, then release to trigger. Requires phone pairing and internet connection.
Get notificationsTap and hold the voice button without talking, then release.
Stop Google AssistantTap the voice button once.
Reply to a message (where available)After a message notification, tap and hold the voice button to respond. Release when done.

Notes: Google, Android, and Google Play are trademarks of Google LLC. Google Assistant availability varies by language and country. Control on/off via the JBL Headphones App (Settings > Voice assistant).

Amazon Alexa Setup

Setup Steps

  1. Connect your headphones to your mobile device.
  2. On your mobile device, open or download the Amazon Alexa app and follow its instructions.
  3. In the Alexa app, navigate to the Device Page.
  4. Click the plus icon [+] on the top right and select 'Add Device'.
  5. Select 'Headphones' from the list, then choose your headphones in the 'Available Devices' section. Follow the remaining app instructions to complete setup.

Using Amazon Alexa

Once setup is complete, tap and hold the action button and try these commands:

Stop AlexaWhile Alexa is talking, say "stop" while tapping and holding the action button, then release.

Notes: Android™ 6.0 or higher is required for full Alexa features. Control on/off via the JBL Headphones App (Settings > Voice assistant > Amazon Alexa). Alexa availability varies by language, country, and location.
