Important Safety Instructions
Please read these instructions carefully and follow all guidelines and warnings. These instructions must stay with the product.
DANGER! Failure to obey these warnings will result in death or serious injury.
- Electrocution Hazard: Ensure power supply has a residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) or ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI). Installation must comply with regulations, especially in damp areas. Do not touch exposed cables with bare hands. Ensure power supply line and plug are dry before operation.
- WARNING! Failure to obey these warnings could result in death or serious injury. Do not operate if visibly damaged. Replace damaged power cables with manufacturer-approved parts. Repairs must be performed by qualified personnel.
- Fire Hazard: Ensure the supply cord is not trapped or damaged. Do not use multiple socket-outlets at the rear. Keep ventilation openings clear of obstructions. Do not use mechanical objects for defrosting. Do not open or damage the refrigerant circuit. Do not use unauthorized electrical devices inside.
- Health Hazard: Device can be used by children aged 8+ with supervision. Children aged 3-8 can load/unload. Supervise children to prevent playing with the device. Cleaning and maintenance must be supervised.
- Explosion Hazard: Do not store explosive substances like aerosol cans with flammable propellant.

- Electrocution Hazard: Ensure power supply line and plug are dry. Disconnect from power supply before cleaning, maintenance, or after each use.
- Health Hazard: To avoid food contamination, check cooling capacity, store food in original packaging or suitable containers, and avoid prolonged opening.
General Precautions and Handling
- Plug the device into sockets ensuring proper connection, especially if earthing is required.
- When positioning, ensure the supply cord is not trapped or damaged.
- Keep ventilation openings free of obstructions.
- Do not use mechanical objects to speed up defrosting unless recommended.
- Do not open or damage the refrigerant circuit.
- Do not use electrical devices inside unless recommended by the manufacturer.
- Clean surfaces that contact food and drainage systems regularly.
- If the device is left empty for long periods: Switch off, defrost, clean, dry, and leave the lid open to prevent mold.
- Check data plate voltage matches the energy supply.
- Never pull the plug out of the socket by the cable.
- If connected to a DC outlet, disconnect from battery before connecting a charger.
- If connected to a DC outlet, disconnect or switch off when the engine is off to prevent battery discharge.
- The device is not suitable for transporting caustic materials or solvents.
- Do not place near naked flames or heat sources (heaters, direct sunlight, gas ovens).
- Risk of overheating: Maintain at least 50 mm ventilation on all sides. Keep ventilation area free of obstructions. Do not use in closed or poorly ventilated areas.
- Do not fill the inner container with ice or fluids.
- Never immerse the device in water.
- Protect the device and cables from heat and moisture.
- The device shall not be exposed to rain.
Intended Use
The Dometic CFF series cooling devices are suitable for cooling food. They are designed for operation from a DC onboard power supply (vehicle/boat), a DC auxiliary battery, or an AC power supply. They are suitable for camping and intended for use in household and similar applications such as staff kitchens, farm houses, hotels, bed and breakfasts, and catering environments.
This product is only suitable for its intended purpose and application as per these instructions. Dometic reserves the right to change product appearance and specifications.
Operation
Saving Energy
- Choose a well-ventilated location protected from direct sunlight.
- Allow warm food to cool down before placing it in the cooling device.
- Do not open the cooling device more often than necessary or leave it open for extended periods.
- If the cooler has a basket, position it according to its delivery position for optimal energy consumption.
- Regularly check that the lid seal fits properly.
Operating the Appliance
To avoid food waste:
- Keep temperature fluctuations as low as possible by opening the device only when necessary and for short durations.
- Store foodstuff to allow good air circulation.
- Adjust the temperature according to the quantity and type of food.
- Store foodstuff covered or in sealed containers/bottles to prevent odor absorption or release.
Connecting and Powering On

- Figure 2: Connecting to a Battery - Connect the appliance to a 12/24V DC power source (e.g., vehicle battery, solar panel) using the DC cable, observing correct polarity [positive/negative symbols].
- Figure 3: Connecting to an AC Power Supply - Connect the appliance to a 100-240V AC power outlet using the AC adapter and cable.
- Figure 4: Switching On - Press the power button [power symbol] to turn the appliance on.

Setting Temperature and Features
- Figure 6: Selecting Temperature Units - Access settings by pressing SET for 3 seconds, then cycle through options to select °C or °F using +/- buttons.

Warranty and Disposal
Warranty
The statutory warranty period applies. For repair and warranty processing, contact your retailer or manufacturer's branch. Include a copy of the receipt and a description of the fault. Self-repair or non-professional repair may void the warranty.
Disposal
Recycling Products: Products containing non-replaceable batteries, rechargeable batteries, or light sources can be disposed of without removing them. Consult your local recycling center for disposal details according to regulations. The product can be disposed of free of charge.
Recycling Packaging Material: Place packaging material in appropriate recycling bins.
Energy Label Information
The energy label provides details on the appliance's energy efficiency class (Class B), annual energy consumption (XYZ kWh/annum), noise level (XYZ dB), and internal volume (XYZ L). Further information is available at eprel.ec.europa.eu.
