General Cautions and Warnings:
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Inspect humidifier before first use and before each subsequent use. Do not use the unit if it has any damaged parts (including power cord or plug), if it has been submerged in water, or if it has been dropped.
- Read all instructions carefully before using the appliance.
- Before connecting the appliance, check if the voltage indicated at the bottom of the appliance corresponds to the local mains voltage.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. If the mains cord is damaged, contact your service provider immediately.
- To protect against electrical hazards, do not immerse the cord, plugs, or the humidifier base in water or other liquid.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, and do not let it touch hot surfaces.
- Regularly check the main cord to ensure it is still in good and safe condition.
- To avoid circuit overload, do not operate another high voltage appliance on the same circuit.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
- Turn the switch to "MIN/OFF" before connecting or disconnecting the plug from the power outlet.
- Ensure that the appliance is unplugged from the outlet when refilling water.
- Do not place the appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner.
- Appliance should always be used on a dry and level surface.
- Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used and near children.
- This appliance is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, and mental capabilities. It is not for persons with lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instructions concerning its use by a person responsible for their safety.
- Never add essential oils in the water tank of the humidifier; the oils can damage the humidifier.
- Do not use outdoors or for purposes other than intended use.
- Do not leave the unit unattended while in use.
- The device is not intended to be operated with an external timer or separate remote control system.
Cleaning Cautions and Warnings:
- Never immerse the unit in water to clean, as it may damage the unit.
- Disconnect the unit from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
- Only use included attachments and parts; do not use attachments from other brands or models.
- Do not disassemble the unit or attempt to repair it.
- Clean all necessary parts after each use as instructed in this manual. If the unit has not been used for an extended period, all parts should be cleaned prior to use.
Note: Humidifier parts are NOT dishwasher safe.
Introduction
Thank you for purchasing this TheraCare Cool Mist Ultrasonic Humidifier. Please read this instruction manual completely before using your unit to ensure safe and effective use, as well as long life of the product.
Humidifier Use Tips
- To maintain and prolong the lifespan of the humidifier, only use room temperature water. Never use hot or ice water.
- It is recommended to use distilled or purified water or room temperature water.
- Change / empty water daily to prevent mold and bacteria growth.
- Never add essential oils in the water tank of the humidifier; oils can damage the humidifier.
- Humidifiers should be utilized on a flat, level, and firm surface, with a minimum of five inches away from walls or any heat source.
Product Features
The humidifier features the following components:
- Mist Outlet: Where the mist is released.
- Water Tank: Holds the water for humidification.
- Base: Contains the ultrasonic transducer, electronics, and control knob.
- Mist Adjustment Knob (Power OFF): Controls mist output and power.

- Steam Channel: Guides mist from the transducer to the outlet.
- Water Tank Cover / Valve: Seals the tank and controls water flow to the base.

- Ultrasonic Transducer / Nebulizer: Vibrates to create mist.
- LED Light: Indicates the unit is powered ON.

Instructions For Use
Place the humidifier on a flat, hard surface within reach of an outlet. Ensure the unit is off and not plugged in until ready to use.
- Remove the water tank, turn it upside down, and unscrew the water tank cover.
- Fill the water tank with room temperature water to approximately 1/4" from the opening.
- Replace the water tank cover and install the water tank onto the humidifier base.
- Plug in the unit, position it as desired to aim the mist in the desired direction, and turn the mist adjustment knob to the desired level. The LED light will illuminate, indicating the unit is ON.
- The water tank will automatically fill the base, and the mist action will start shortly.
- Adjust the level of mist as desired.
- When the water tank is empty, the humidifier will stop automatically and the LED light will turn OFF. Always turn the knob to MIN / completely OFF before refilling or cleaning and storing.
Note: Tap water quality varies; it is suggested that distilled or purified water is used in this humidifier. Always use room temperature water.
Cleaning, Maintenance & Storage
The ultrasonic humidifier should be thoroughly cleaned daily after use, and weekly when being used frequently.
- Unplug the humidifier before cleaning and storage.
- Never allow unused water to sit in the water tank or base for an extended period.
- If the mist or humidifier produces an unpleasant smell, stop use and wash immediately before attempting use again.
- Do not submerge the base nor allow it to be held under running water.
Daily Cleaning Procedure / After Use:
- Ensure that the power is set to MIN (OFF) and the power cord is unplugged.
- Remove the water tank and empty it completely. Empty any remaining water in the base.
- Wipe all components with a soft, dry cloth – tank, cap, base, and interior of the base, including the nebulizer and transducer.
- Do not use detergents or soaps.
- Hand dry or allow to dry completely before storage.
Weekly Cleaning Procedure:
- Remove the water tank and empty it completely. Empty any remaining liquid in the base.
- Prepare a solution of 50% white vinegar and 50% water.
- Replace the cap and return the water tank to the base; this will allow the base to fill up with the vinegar solution and soak the 'base'.
- DO NOT TURN THE HUMIDIFIER ON.
- Allow to soak for a minimum of 4 hours; overnight is suggested.
- Empty the solution and thoroughly rinse the water tank.
- Wipe all components with a soft, dry cloth – tank, cap, base, and interior of the base, including the nebulizer and transducer.
- Hand dry or allow to dry completely before storage.
Note: Humidifier parts are NOT dishwasher safe.
Troubleshooting
Water is Leaking
- Check that the secondary tank is not overfilled and is at the proper fill level.
- Make sure the unit is on a flat surface and not tilted.
Humidifier Does Not Power On; Indicator Light Does Not Illuminate
- Confirm the unit is plugged in.
- Check the knob is ON; turn toward MAX.
Indicator Light is On, But No Mist Output
- Check for hard water / mineral deposits in the base and on the transducer; clean following the included instructions and attempt use again.
- Check there is sufficient water in the tank and base.
Strange Odor
- Clean the water tank and base following the included instructions and allow to air dry for a minimum of 12 hours.

2-Year Limited Warranty
Veridian Healthcare guarantees that its Ultrasonic Humidifier will be free from manufacturing defects under normal use for a period of two years. This warranty covers only normal use and does not apply to use in any clinical or commercial applications. This warranty is voided if the unit is misused or abused in any manner.
If the humidifier fails to operate within the warranty period while under the original purchaser owns the product, return it postage prepaid to: Veridian Healthcare, Attn: Repair Department, 1175 Lakeside, Gurnee, IL, 60031. Include your name, address, phone number, and a brief description of the problem with your humidifier. Take care to carefully package the product to avoid any damage that may occur while in transit; shipping insurance with returned receipt is recommended. Veridian Healthcare will repair or replace the defective unit at their option. Repair or replacement of the defective unit, at the warrantor's option, is the sole remedy under this warranty.
Implied Warranties: Any implied warranties which the purchaser may have are limited in duration to the time that the original consumer purchaser owns the product. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
This warranty constitutes the warrantor's only responsibility and obligation to repair and/or replace materials or components, or refund the purchase price. Veridian will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special consequential, or punitive damages or other loss, including, but not limited to, damage to or loss of other property. Veridian will also not be liable to the purchaser for any amount in excess of the cost of repair and/or replacement of the unit, or the purchase price of the unit. Some states do not allow the exclusive or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
