Hints and Tips
Normal Operating Sounds
The following sounds are normal during operation:
- A faint gurgling and bubbling sound from coils when refrigerant is pumped.
- A whirring and pulsating sound from the compressor when refrigerant is pumped.
- A sudden cracking noise from thermal dilatation (natural phenomenon).
- A faint click noise from the temperature regulator when the compressor switches on or off.
Hints for Energy Saving
- Eco mode / default setting saves energy while preserving food.
- For the Fresh Food Compartment (Fridge), ensure drawers are at the bottom and shelves are evenly distributed for energy efficiency. Door bin position does not affect consumption.
- For the Frozen Compartment (Freezer), the internal configuration ensures the most efficient use of energy.
- Do not remove freezer blocks from the freezer basket.
- Do not open the door frequently or leave it open longer than necessary.
Hints for Fresh Food Refrigeration
- Do not store warm food or evaporating liquids.
- Cover or wrap food, especially if it has a strong flavour.
- Position food to allow air circulation.
Hints for Refrigeration
- Meat (all types): Wrap in suitable packaging, place on the glass shelf above the vegetable drawer. Store for at most 1-2 days.
- Cooked foods, cold dishes: Cover and place on any shelf.
- Fruit and vegetables: Clean thoroughly and place in a special drawer. Bananas, potatoes, onions, and garlic must not be kept in the refrigerator if not packed.
- Butter and cheese: Place in an airtight container or wrap in foil/polythene to exclude air.
- Bottles: Close with a cap and place on the door bottle shelf or bottle rack.
Hints for Freezing
- Freeze only top quality, fresh, and thoroughly cleaned food.
- Divide food into small portions for efficient freezing and thawing.
- Wrap food in airtight aluminium foil or polythene.
- To avoid temperature increase, do not place fresh unfrozen food next to already frozen food.
- Lean foods store better and longer than fatty ones. Salt reduces storage life.
- Do not eat ice cubes, water ices, or ice lollies immediately after removing from the freezer (risk of frostbites).
- It is advisable to mark the freezing date on each pack.
Hints for Storage of Frozen Food
- Ensure commercially frozen food was adequately stored by the retailer.
- Transfer frozen foodstuffs from the store to the freezer as quickly as possible.
- Once defrosted, food deteriorates rapidly and cannot be refrozen.
- Do not exceed the storage period indicated by the food manufacturer.
- Do not store glass containers with liquids in the freezer compartment as they may break.

❗ Do not damage the cooling system.
Clean regularly:
- Clean inside and accessories with lukewarm water and neutral soap.
- Regularly check and clean door seals.

Periodically clean the defrost water drain hole in the refrigerator compartment channel to prevent overflowing.
Use the provided tube cleaner for this purpose.
Defrosting of the Freezer
The freezer compartment is frost-free.
