CAUTION

Protection Functions

  1. Water-full protect: The water switch activates water-full protection. When the water tank is full, the water-full indicator and 'FL' on the LED display will flash.
  2. Anti-freeze protection function: If the compressor runs for over 10 minutes and the tube temperature is continuously ≤2°C for 20 seconds in cooling mode, 'E4' will display, and buttons (except power) become inactive. Protection is relieved when tube temperature reaches ≥8°C, with a 3-minute delay before compressor restarts.
  3. Delay protection function of compressor: The compressor has a 3-minute start delay after shutdown for restart protection, except when initially energized.
  4. Coil and room temperature sensors auto-diagnosis:
    • Sensor test occurs at first time or power up.
    • If room temperature sensor fails, 'E2' displays and the unit turns off.
    • If coil temperature sensor fails, 'E1' displays and the unit turns off.
    • If sensors are OK, the unit resumes operation or enters standby.

Handling and Transportation

Installation & Adjustment

1. Installation

Warning: Keep the air conditioner upright for at least 2 hours before first installation. Move the unit indoors conveniently, always keeping it upright. Place the air conditioner on a flat, hard surface. Do not install or operate in bathrooms or other wet environments.

1.1 Installation of exhaust hose assembly and its adapter
  1. Remove the exhaust hose assembly and adapter from the plastic bag.
  2. Extend the exhaust hose and screw the adapter's round end onto the hose anticlockwise.

[Diagram showing the assembly of the exhaust hose and adapter.]

1.2 Installation of window seal-plate
  1. Open the window, insert the seal-plate, and position it vertically or horizontally according to the window opening direction.
  2. Extend the seal-plate parts, adjust to the window length, and secure with screws.
  3. Remarks: Ensure the seal-plate ends meet the window edges for a good seal. Secure screws properly.

[Diagram illustrating window seal-plate installation in a window.]

1.3 Installation of the unit
  1. Position the unit with its exhaust hose assembly in front of the window, at least 50cm away from walls or objects.
  2. Install the exhaust hose adapter's rectangle end into the corresponding hole in the window seal-plate assembly, secure with a screw, and close the window.
  3. Align the 4 locks on the window seal-plate with the 4 fasteners on the exhaust hose adapter. Set them together, then slide the adapter downwards.
  4. Insert the self-tapping screw (φ4mm) into the adapter hole.
  5. Remarks: Slide the adapter downwards to ensure it is properly installed. Tighten the screw to prevent it from falling off. The exhaust hose should not be bent or flexed more than 45° for optimal ventilation.

Important notes:

Drainage Instruction

This portable air conditioner has two drain ports (higher and lower) for manual and continuous drainage.

1. Manual Drain: (As Photo 14)

The unit features a self-evaporative system. Manual drainage is suggested in cooling mode to recycle condensate for cooling performance. If the water tank is full (indicated by 'FL' on the LED display), drain manually from the lower drain port.

  1. Place a tray below the water outlet at the back of the unit.
  2. Unscrew the drain cover and remove the water stopper to allow water to flow into the tray.
  3. After draining, plug in the stopper and screw the water cover tightly onto the water outlet.

[Diagram showing the water outlet and drain cover.]

Notes:

2. Continuous drain: (Recommended for heating mode, as self-evaporative cooling does not work)

  1. Unscrew the drain cover.
  2. Connect a ∅13mm PVC drain hose to the drain hole, inserting it as deep as possible to avoid leakage.
  3. Route the drain hose to a bathroom or outdoors.

Notes:

3. Continuous drain in dehumidification mode:

Use the higher drain port for best results.

  1. Unscrew the drain cover and remove the water stopper.
  2. Connect a ∅13mm PVC drain hose to the drain hole, inserting it 8mm-10mm deep.
  3. Route the drain hose to a bathroom or outdoors.

Notes:

[Diagrams showing drain ports and hose connections.]

Maintenance and Service

Turn off the unit and unplug it before maintenance or sending it to a service center.

1. Surface cleaning

Clean the unit surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use chemical solvents like alcohol or gasoline.

2. Filter cleaning

Clean the filter every two weeks. A blocked filter affects unit performance.

3.1 Clean filter
  1. Grip the filter handle and gently pull it out in the direction shown by the arrow.
  2. Hold the filter by the designated positions and remove it in the direction shown by the arrow.
  3. Note: Use even force to avoid twisting or damaging the filter. Clean filters gently in warm water (approx. 40°C) with detergent, and dry in the shade.

[Diagram showing how to remove the filter.]

Notes:

3.2 Installation of the filter
  1. Align the filter with the slot and push it gently into place with even force to avoid damage.

3. Clean of handle position and remote control storage area

  1. Take out the remote control.
  2. Clean the handle position and remote control storage area with a wet and soft cloth. Note: Do not drip water into the unit.

[Diagram showing the remote control storage area.]

End of Season Storage

  1. Unscrew the drain cover and remove the stopper to drain water completely. Note: The unit's tilt angle should not exceed 30°.
  2. Run the unit in fan mode for half a day to dry the interior and prevent mold.
  3. Turn off the unit, unplug it, wrap the power cord around the wire-winding pillar, and insert the plug into the universal fixing hole at the back panel. Install the water plug and drain cap.
  4. Remove the exhaust hose assembly, clean it, and store it properly. Note: Hold the exhaust hose assembly with both hands when removing. Push the fasteners aside on the exhaust air outlet with your thumbs, then pull out the hose assembly.
  5. Pack the air conditioner in a soft plastic bag with dust-proof measures and store it in a dry place, away from children.
  6. Remove and store the remote control batteries properly. Note: Ensure the unit is stored in a dry place and all accessories are protected.
