Powering Your Radio

AC Operation:

Ensure the AC voltage is correct before plugging the supplied power cord into the AC power socket on the back of the radio.

DC Operation:

For outdoor use, power the radio via the 12V DC input socket from a DC power supply (e.g., vehicle or boat power supply). An AC power adapter with 1 Ampere and center positive polarity can also be used.

Antenna Setup

FM Reception:

The radio has built-in AM/FM antennas and supports external antennas. For internal FM antenna, ensure the switch on the back is set to 'INT. FM ANTENNA'. For external FM reception, connect the supplied FM antenna to the F-type terminal or use a 75-ohm coaxial cable from an outdoor antenna. Ensure the external/internal antenna switch is set to 'EXTERNAL' when using an external antenna. Note: Some European countries may require an adapter plug for external antennas.

AM Reception:

The radio includes a built-in AM Ferrite antenna. For improved AM reception, connect an optional outdoor AM antenna to the AM external antenna terminal.
