European Data Act Compliance
As of September 12, 2025, the European Data Act mandates that sellers, renters, lessors, and manufacturers provide clear information to users about the data collected by connected products and their associated services. This document outlines Nedis B.V.'s practices in compliance with this regulation.
Connected Product Data
Data Collected: Includes product settings (e.g., indicator status, motion detection brightness) and measurements (e.g., signal strength, SD card capacity, temperature, battery level).
Format & Volume: Data is stored as text, exportable in .xlsx format, with an estimated volume of less than 1KB per product.
Storage & Retention: Data is generated continuously and in real-time. It is stored on a remote server for 7 days. On-device storage is temporary or not applicable.
Management & Access: Data can be managed and accessed via the device or the Nedis SmartLife App under 'Profile – Privacy Policy Management – Export device data'. Data retrieval is also managed through this interface.
Erasure: Requests for data erasure can be sent to privacy@tuya.com.
Service Terms: Details on service terms, quality, availability, speed, reliability, and support are available in the Nedis SmartLife App under 'Profile – Service Agreement'.
Related Service Data
Data Collected: Primarily login credentials.
Volume: Estimated volume is less than 1KB.
Storage & Retention: Stored on AWS Servers in Germany for 2 years after the last usage of the service.
Access & Management: Accessible via the Nedis SmartLife App under 'Profile – Privacy Policy Management – Export personal information'.

Data Usage: Data is used by Nedis B.V. primarily to resolve reported issues, with user permission. Data may be shared with third parties solely for issue resolution.
Contract Termination: To terminate related services, send a request to gdpr@nedis.com.
Trade Secrets: Nedis B.V. holds trade secrets accessible from the product or service.
Third-Party Sharing: Users can request data sharing with third parties and end such sharing by contacting gdpr@nedis.com.
Complaints: Users have the right to lodge complaints regarding infringements of the European Data Act with the Dutch Authority for Consumers and Markets.
