FCC and ISED Compliance Statement
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules and with Industry Canada license-exempt RSS standard(s). Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
- This device may not cause harmful interference.
- This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Human Exposure Compliance: To comply with FCC Section 1.1310 for human exposure to radio frequency electromagnetic fields and IC requirements, maintain a distance of at least 20cm between the equipment and all persons during operation. Antennas used for this product must not be co-located or operated in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.
Class B Digital Device: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, users are encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
This Class B digital apparatus complies with Canadian ICES-003.

UL/ULC Notes
The PGPHOST9 has been listed by UL/ULC for commercial burglary and residential fire/burglary applications, and by ULC for residential burglary applications in accordance with the specified standards. For UL/ULC installations, use these devices only in conjunction with compatible wireless receivers. After installation, verify the product functionality in conjunction with the compatible receiver used.
Safety Instructions
Read the safety information before installing the equipment.
The transceiver shall be installed and used within an environment that provides pollution degree max 2 and over voltages category II in non-hazardous, indoor locations only. The equipment is designed to be installed by SERVICE PERSONS only. A service person is defined as an individual with appropriate technical training and experience to be aware of potential hazards and necessary risk-minimization measures.
The device must be installed in an indoor dry location. Exposure to weather or corrosive conditions may damage the unit.
It shall be installed and used within a non-hazardous, indoor environment only (pollution degree max 2, over voltages category II). The installer is responsible for instructing the system user regarding electrical safety precautions and the following:
- Do not attempt to service this product; there are no user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified service persons only.
- Use adequate mounting means (e.g., plastic or metal anchors) to secure the transceiver to the building structure before applying power.
- Route internal wiring to prevent excessive strain on wires and terminal connections, or damage to conductor insulation.
Limited Warranty
Digital Security Controls (“DSC”), a division of Tyco Safety Products Canada Ltd, part of the Johnson Controls group of companies (“JCI”), warrants that for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase, the product shall be free of defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
In fulfillment of any breach of this warranty, JCI shall, at its option, repair or replace the defective equipment upon its return to JCI's repair depot. This warranty applies only to defects in parts and workmanship and does not cover damage incurred in shipping or handling, or damage due to causes beyond JCI's control, such as lightning, excessive voltage, mechanical shock, water damage, abuse, alteration, or improper application.
This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, whether expressed or implied, and of all other obligations or liabilities on the part of JCI. JCI neither assumes responsibility for, nor authorizes any other person to modify or change this warranty or assume any other warranty or liability concerning this product.
JCI shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages, loss of anticipated profits, loss of time, or other losses incurred by the buyer in connection with the purchase, installation, operation, or failure of this product.
Warning: JCI recommends that the entire system be completely tested on a regular basis. However, despite frequent testing, it is possible for this product to fail to perform as expected due to factors including, but not limited to, criminal tampering or electrical disruption.
