IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Battery
The battery installed at the factory may discharge during delivery and storage. If you notice signs of insufficient power (e.g., dim display), replace the battery at an authorized CASIO service center or a CASIO dealer.
Water Resistance
The following actions are prohibited for all categories of watches:
- Pressing buttons underwater.
- Adjusting hands underwater.
- Unscrewing the crown underwater.
If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water and dry it. Do not wear a watch with a leather strap while swimming. Avoid prolonged contact of leather straps with water.
Water Resistance Classification
Watches are classified into levels (I to V) according to their water resistance. Check your watch's level using the table below to determine its proper use.
Level | Case Marking | Splashes, Rain, etc. | Swimming, Machine Washing, etc. | Scuba Diving, Snorkeling, etc. | Diving with Aqualung |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
I | - | No | No | No | No |
II | WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |
III | 50 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | No | No |
IV | 100 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
V | 200 M WATER RESISTANT 300 M WATER RESISTANT |
Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Notes:
- Level I: Watches are not water resistant. Avoid exposure to any moisture.
Water Resistance Explanations
Level II WR (Water Resistant): Indicates water resistance according to ISO 2281. Brief contact with water will not cause problems.
Level III 5 Bar (50 meters): Watches can withstand water pressure of the indicated level and can be used while showering and for brief swimming.
Level IV 10 Bar (100 meters): Watches can be used for normal swimming and snorkeling.
Level V 20 Bar (200 meters): Watches can be used for scuba diving (excluding depths requiring helium-oxygen mixtures).
Care for Your Watch
- Never attempt to open the case or remove the back cover yourself.
- The rubber gasket that protects the watch from water and dust should be replaced every 2-3 years.
- If moisture gets inside the watch, have it checked immediately by your dealer or a CASIO distributor.
- Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
- Although designed for active daily use, wear the watch carefully and avoid drops.
- Do not fasten the strap too tightly. You should be able to fit a finger between your wrist and the strap.
- To clean the watch and strap, use a dry soft cloth or a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile agents (e.g., gasoline, solvents, spray cleaners, etc.).
- When not using your watch, store it in a dry place.
- Avoid exposure to gasoline, cleaning solvents, aerosol sprays, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions from these materials can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's finish.
- Some models feature silk-screened designs on the strap. Be careful when cleaning these straps to avoid damaging the designs.
For Watches with Plastic Straps
- You may notice a white powdery substance on the strap. This substance is harmless to skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a cloth.
- Exposure to sweat or moisture, or storage in high humidity, can damage, tear, or crack plastic straps. To ensure a long service life, wipe the strap clean of dirt and water with a soft cloth whenever possible.
For Watches with Fluorescent Cases and Straps
- Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause fluorescent colors to fade gradually.
- Prolonged contact with moisture can cause fluorescent colors to fade gradually. If moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible.
- Prolonged contact with any other wet surface can cause fluorescent colors to discolor. Check that the fluorescent surface is dry and avoid contact with other surfaces.
- Strong friction of a surface with fluorescent paint against another surface may transfer the fluorescent paint.
In conditions of rapid temperature changes, slight condensation may form on the inside of the glass. This phenomenon is due to physical laws and is not a defect.
CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur during the use of this watch and does not accept claims from third parties.

- Difference from UTC: This value indicates the difference between the prime meridian (Greenwich, England) and your city's time zone.
- The letters "UTC" mean "Coordinated Universal Time", a global scientific standard for time measurement. It is based on highly accurate atomic (cesium) clocks that measure time with microsecond precision. Correction seconds are added or subtracted as needed to synchronize Coordinated Universal Time with the Earth's rotation.
