Installation

Before installation, check the radio and all accessories. Use the cigarette lighter plug included in the kit to power the radio. The radio's supply voltage must be between 12-13.8V. The fuse installed on the power cord protects the radio from technical failures or damage caused by incorrect polarity. If the fuse has blown, first eliminate the cause and then replace it with an F3A 250V fuse.

Before starting the radio, check the connections correctly. Ensure there is no risk of short circuit.

Using with an AC adapter

Use the radio transmitter only with a stabilized power supply that can provide at least 2A at 12-13.8V DC. Unregulated power supplies or battery chargers are not suitable and may damage the unit. Connect the red wire to the positive (+) terminal of the power supply, and the black wire to the negative (-) terminal.

Antenna Connection

Connect the CB antenna to the ANT socket on the back of the radio. The antenna must be tuned to the CB radio frequency band. Use an SWR meter for this. For good radio reception, the SWR should not exceed 2. A high SWR also indicates short-circuit defects in the antenna, cable, or antenna line. Never transmit without an antenna connected!

Note: The radio antenna should be installed as far as possible from other antennas and sources of interference. CB antennas are usually installed on the highest part of the vehicle on a metal surface. Sufficient metal surface is important for antenna performance. Special antennas must be used for installation on fiberglass cabins or plastic wind deflectors.
