Description of Controls
The MUSE M-278 BT and M-279 FB Bluetooth Stereo Headphones feature intuitive controls for easy operation. Refer to the following list for a detailed description of each component:
- 1. Volume Up / Next Track: Press briefly to increase volume. Press and hold to skip to the next track.
- 2. Volume Down / Previous Track: Press briefly to decrease volume. Press and hold to go to the previous track.
- 3. Multi-function Button (MFB): This button serves multiple purposes:
- Press and hold for 3 seconds to power ON/OFF.
- Press briefly to Play/Pause music.
- Press briefly to Answer/End a call.
- Press and hold for 2 seconds to Reject a call.
- Double press to Redial the last number.
- 4. LED Indicator: Displays the status of the headphones (pairing, charging, power).
- 5. Microphone: For hands-free calling.
- 6. AUX-IN Jack: For wired audio connection using a 3.5mm audio cable.
- 7. Micro USB Charging Port: For charging the built-in battery.
Power Supply
Initial Use
The headphones are powered by a built-in rechargeable Lithium-ion battery. Before first use, fully charge the battery for approximately 2-3 hours.
Charging the Battery
Connect the Micro USB cable (supplied) to the charging port (7) on the headphones and the other end to a USB port on a computer or a USB wall charger (not supplied). The LED indicator (4) will glow red during charging and turn off once charging is complete. A full charge takes approximately 2-3 hours.
Battery Life
The battery life may vary depending on usage and environmental conditions. To preserve battery life, avoid exposing the headphones to extreme temperatures.
Operation
Bluetooth Pairing
To pair the headphones with your Bluetooth device:
- Ensure the headphones are turned OFF.
- Press and hold the Multi-function Button (3) for 3 seconds until the LED indicator (4) flashes blue and red alternately. This indicates the headphones are in pairing mode.
- Activate Bluetooth on your device (smartphone, tablet, computer) and search for new devices.
- Select "M-278 BT" or "M-279 FB" from the list of available devices.
- If prompted for a password, enter "0000".
- Once successfully paired, the LED indicator (4) will flash blue slowly.
- The headphones will automatically connect to the last paired device when powered on, if the device's Bluetooth is active and within range.
Using the Multi-function Button (MFB)
- Power ON/OFF: Press and hold for 3 seconds.
- Play/Pause: Press briefly during music playback.
- Next Track: Press and hold the "Volume Up / Next Track" button (1).
- Previous Track: Press and hold the "Volume Down / Previous Track" button (2).
- Answer/End Call: Press briefly during an incoming call or during a call.
- Reject Call: Press and hold for 2 seconds during an incoming call.
- Redial Last Number: Double press the MFB (3).
Using the AUX Jack
The headphones can also be used as wired headphones. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not supplied) to the AUX-IN jack (6) on the headphones and the other end to the audio output of your device. In AUX mode, the Bluetooth function is disabled, and controls on the headphones (volume, track control, call functions) will not work. Adjust volume and control playback directly from your connected audio device.
Troubleshooting Guide
If you encounter issues with your headphones, refer to the following solutions:
- No Power: The battery may be depleted. Charge the headphones fully.
- No Sound:
- Ensure the headphones are powered ON.
- Check the volume level on both the headphones and your connected device.
- Ensure the headphones are properly paired with your Bluetooth device.
- If using AUX mode, ensure the audio cable is securely connected and the volume on your device is adequate.
- Cannot Pair:
- Ensure the headphones are in pairing mode (LED flashing blue and red alternately).
- Ensure your Bluetooth device's Bluetooth function is enabled and searching for devices.
- Move the headphones closer to your device (within 10 meters).
- Clear the Bluetooth pairing list on your device and try pairing again.
- Turn off other Bluetooth devices nearby to avoid interference.
- Poor Sound Quality:
- Move closer to your Bluetooth device to reduce interference.
- Avoid obstacles between the headphones and your device.
- Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged.
- Try pairing with a different device to rule out issues with your original device.
