This document provides an overview and programming instructions for the NETUM NT-1698W 2.4G Wireless Barcode Scanner. It supports both USB wired and 2.4G wireless communication, featuring built-in FLASH memory for breakpoint resume and offline data storage. The scanner can store up to 2600 Code-128 codes in offline mode.
Compatibility includes Windows XP, Win7/8, Wince, and mobile OS PCs.

Getting Started and Configuration
If you use a US keyboard, the scanner is plug-and-play. For other keyboard types, connect the USB cable or receiver, then set the keyboard language using the provided programming barcodes. Refer to the "Keyboard Language Type" section for details.
Netum barcode scanners are factory programmed with common settings. Customization is achieved by scanning the programming barcodes detailed in this guide. An asterisk (*) indicates the default setting.
1. Store Mode (Offline Mode)
Activate store mode by scanning the designated barcode. In this mode, scanned data is stored in the device's buffer memory, especially useful when outside wireless range. Data is saved permanently before manual upload.
Offline Mode Activation: Scan the designated barcode.
Clear All Data (Offline Mode): Scan the designated barcode.
Manual Data Upload (Offline Mode): Scan the designated barcode to upload buffered data after reconnecting.
Summarising Uploaded Data Entry Quantity (Offline Mode): Scan the designated barcode to view the total quantity of uploaded data.
2. Instant Uploading Mode
Scan the designated barcode to exit offline mode and return to normal operation.
Keyboard Language Type
To ensure correct code uploading, set the keyboard language according to your system. The default is US keyboard. If you use a different layout (e.g., French), scan the corresponding barcode.
