Product Overview

This document provides a quick reference for the LANCOM IGS-3128XF network switch, covering hardware connections, LED indicators, and technical specifications.

Connections

Power Input

AC INPUT: 100-240 VAC. Connect the device using the supplied power cord or a country-specific LANCOM power cord to the mains connection socket.

DC INPUT: 24-72 VDC. Alternatively, connect to an external 24-72 V DC voltage source via the connection terminal.

SFP Interfaces (100M/1G)

Insert compatible LANCOM SFP modules into SFP interfaces 1 to 20. Connect cables according to SFP module instructions available at: www.lancom-systems.com/SFP-module-MI.

SFP/TP Ethernet Interfaces (100M/1G Combo Ports)

Connect TP Ethernet combo ports 21 to 24 via Ethernet cables to terminal devices or a LAN switch. Ports 21-24 are combo ports; only one (TP or SFP) can be active at a time.

SFP+ Interfaces (1G/10G)

Insert compatible LANCOM SFP+ modules into SFP+ interfaces 25 to 28. Connect cables according to SFP module instructions available at: www.lancom-systems.com/SFP-module-MI.

Serial Configuration Interface (CONSOLE)

Connect the serial configuration interface using the included serial configuration cable to the serial interface of the configuration device.

Controls

Reset Button

Device restart: Press the RST button for approximately 5 seconds until the LEDs glow.
Configuration reset and device restart: Press the RST button until all port LEDs glow.

LED Indicators

PWR DC	Green	External 48 V power supply active.
SYS	Green	Device operational.
ALM	Red	System error; check syslog/error log.
LINK/ACT	Port LEDs show link/activity status.
SFP ports 100M/1G	Off	Port inactive or disabled.
	Green	Link 1 Gbps.
	Orange	Link ≤ 100 Mbps.
TP Ethernet ports 100M/1G	Off	Port inactive or disabled.
	Green	Link 1 Gbps.
	Orange	Link ≤ 100 Mbps.
SFP+ ports 1G/10G	Off	Port inactive or disabled.
	Blue	Link 10 Gbps.
	Green	Link 1 Gbps.

Mounting & Connecting Advice

Before initial startup, consult the enclosed installation guide for intended use.

Operate the device with a professionally installed power supply at a readily accessible power socket.
Ensure all power plugs are freely accessible.
Support for third-party accessories is not provided.
For desktop operation, attach the adhesive rubber footpads.
Do not place objects on top of the device.
Keep ventilation slots clear.
Mount the device in a 19" unit using provided screws and brackets.
