Takeoff Procedure
Environment: Operate outdoors in an open area.
- Turn on Drone: Press and hold the Power Switch for 3 seconds. Place on a level surface, head forward. Drone status indicator blinks red, waiting to pair.
- Turn on Transmitter: Short press the power switch, then hold for 3 seconds.
- Auto-Pairing: Takes about 40 seconds. Transmitter beeps, then long beeps once when pairing is complete. Transmitter signal strength on LCD is full.
- Cellphone Connection: Pull out the phone holder. Connect the appropriate cable (Type-C, Micro-USB, Lightning) between the transmitter and your cellphone. For Android, select "charge only".
- Run App: Launch the "HS FLY" app and open the live-feed interface.
Compass Calibration
Note: Perform calibration approximately 3 ft above the ground.
- Push both joysticks towards the inner, upper corners simultaneously.
- Rotate the drone horizontally until the transmitter beeps once.
- Point the drone head upward and rotate until the transmitter beeps again. Calibration is complete.
Caution: Do not calibrate near magnetic interference (e.g., parking structures, steel structures, cars). Do not carry ferromagnetic objects (like mobile phones) near the drone during calibration.
GPS Mode
Note: Do not use indoors.
The drone searches for GPS signals. The front indicator turns solid white, rear solid blue when signals are acquired. GPS signal strength on the LCD will be full. Blinking lights indicate searching.
If GPS is weak or unavailable, press the Return to Home button for 2 seconds to exit GPS mode and enter Attitude Mode ("ATT"). In ATT mode, GPS functions are unavailable.
Takeoff and Landing
Unlock Motors: Push both joysticks simultaneously toward the inner, lower corners. Motors start spinning. Motors auto-lock after 20 seconds of inactivity or can be manually locked by pushing joysticks to inner corners.
Takeoff: Short press the takeoff/landing button. The drone ascends slowly. Control with joysticks.
Landing: While airborne, short press the takeoff/landing button. The drone descends slowly.
Orientation: Periodically adjust transmitter/drone orientation for optimal communication range.
3. Product Functions
Drone Functions
- Cruise Control: Long press the speed switch button to activate. The drone flies straight at its current speed. Long press again to exit.
- Gimbal Control: The 2-axis gimbal stabilizes the camera. Tilt range is -80° to 0°. Use the Gimbal Dial to adjust the camera tilt.
- Zoom: Use the Zoom Dial. Scroll right to zoom in, left to zoom out.
- Emergency Stop: Long press the button for 2 seconds. Works only when the drone's altitude is below 16ft. Use only in emergencies.
- Speed Switch: Short press the button to cycle through speeds: Low (1 beep), Middle (2 beeps), High (3 beeps).
- Take Photo: Short press the button. The photo icon on the LCD blinks.
- Record Video: Short press the button. The video icon on the LCD blinks. Short press again to stop. The "Take Photo" function is disabled during recording.

- Failsafe RTH: Activates automatically if GPS is strong, Home Point is recorded, transmitter connection is lost, and compass has no interference. Drone returns automatically. Can be manually ended if connection is re-established.
- RTH Altitude: If drone altitude is higher than or equal to the set Return Altitude (RA), it flies over the Home Point then descends. If lower than RA, it ascends to RA, flies over Home Point, then descends.
- Low Voltage RTH:
- First Stage: Drone returns to Home Point, transmitter beeps continuously, LCD displays "LOW VOLTAGE." Drone is restricted to a limited area around the Home Point.
- Second Stage: Drone returns directly to Home Point and lands automatically.
Note: Drone cannot avoid obstacles during RTH. RTH requires a stable GPS signal.
