HolyStone HS440 Drone Quick Start Guide

This guide provides an overview of the HolyStone HS440 drone's remote controller functions and essential steps for initial setup and flight.

Remote Controller Layout and Functions

The HolyStone HS440 remote controller features intuitive controls for a comprehensive flight experience.

Left Joystick Controls:

• Take Photo/Record Video (?/?): Press to take a photo, hold to record video.
• Ascend (▲): Push joystick up to increase altitude.
• Descend (▼): Pull joystick down to decrease altitude.
• Rotate Left (⟲): Push joystick left to rotate the drone counter-clockwise.
• Rotate Right (⟳): Push joystick right to rotate the drone clockwise.
• Headless Mode/Trimmer (◎): Press for Headless Mode, adjust for trimming.

Right Joystick Controls:

• Camera Angle Adjustment (↕): Adjusts the camera's vertical angle.
• High-Speed Rotation/Circle Fly (↻): Activates high-speed rotation or circle fly mode.
• Forward (▲): Push joystick up to fly forward.
• Backward (▼): Pull joystick down to fly backward.
• Fly to Left (◀): Push joystick left to fly left.
• Fly to Right (▶): Push joystick right to fly right.

Other Controls:

• Power Switch (⏻): Turns the controller on or off.
• Speed Switch (☰): Toggles between different flight speeds.
• Takeoff & Landing/Emergency Stop (⏏): Press to initiate automatic takeoff or landing, or hold for emergency stop.

Quick Start Instructions

1. Turn on the drone and the transmitter (⏻).
2. Place the drone on a level surface with its head pointing forward.
3. Push the left joystick up, then down to pair the drone with the transmitter.
4. Connect your phone to the Wi-Fi network named "HolyStoneFPV-******", then open the HolyStone-FPV app.
5. Simultaneously push both joysticks towards the bottom right corner to calibrate the gyro.
6. Simultaneously push both joysticks towards the inner bottom corners to unlock the motors.
7. Press the Takeoff & Landing button (⏏) to take off.
